I like its high-speed quietness. I commented on the city drive vid that it sounded like an old Golf diesel. I think that low-speed hollow-sounding engine note is the air intake/filter box. That's where the noise emanated from my 1st gen Golf. At higher engine speeds it smooths out.
A diesel that revs to 8000rpm? Very strange... Also could you include a wider angle for the speedometer camera so we could see clearer rpm and trip data. Thanks for the great vids! 👍
I looked at images from a few of them and they have a 5000/rpm redline. It was $0.07 cheaper per car to use the same tach in all versions. It's harder to read this way though.
It's incredible in germany you go to 200km/h and you looks like stopped. Here, in italy, where all go 80-90 max 130 in autobahn at 135 (already in out of limit, so in fine), you look are flying. A lot of people here go to 70, is not rarely to se that scenes
So Opel uses the same gauges for diesel engines and gas engines. You can see that it goes all the way up to 8000 rpm yet it is a diesel and it won't go passed 4500 rpm

Спасибо за отличную работу!
Never seen such an accurate tachometer
Me neither

I'll see what I can do about the wider angle. :)
13.2 L / 100 km ?????
Good car
8000rpm in the odometer?
in italy for what you done at 5:19 there is a big fine and the towing of the car, suspending driver license for some months.
Damn
geil :-))) erst die Polizei im Weg und dann der A6 :-)))

Nice video. What is the app you're using to check the speed?
SpeedLogic
it is possible to show the morning speed of the Opel Meriva 136 cv?
What is a morning speed?
@@SuperchargedMagazine sorry, max speed
Of course, we'll try to find a Meriva. ;)
How it behave on the road over 150km/h?
Safe and stable. Nothing bad worth mentioning
@@SuperchargedMagazine thanks for your experience
I have the same car from 2017 1.5 120hp turbo diesel, but never came over 185 km/h.
Thisversion have 130 horsepower
They haven't bothered changing the rev counter, bad!
Warum hat der Grandland X denn bitte den Drehzahlmesser vom Benziner verbaut? Was soll das denn?
Kann nur mit Kosteneinsparungen begründet werden. Ein Drehzalmesser für sämtliche Grandland Modelle.
@@SuperchargedMagazine Oh man ey, was für ein scheiß 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
13.2 L / 100km ! (That must be at top speed ).
Pretty much full throttle consumption.
This is a new PSA HDI engine 1.5 hdi 130
Yup. The Grandland X uses the same platform as the Peugeot
3007. Both are manufactured by PSA in Souchaux, France.

i drive this car with manual grid my end speed was 225 km/h
This there isn't a 1.5 diesel, the full scale tachometer is 8 rpm x1000...Diesel version have 6 rpm x 1000.....False test drive for me
I noticed they, use the same tachometer for diesel and petrol engines, at 2020 models i guess
No way is this car a diesel
Why shouldn't it be?
My husband just purchased this car & he's very disappointed with it no heated front seats no boot light front seats not comfortable at all .
But why did he purchase it then? Didn't he test drive it?
