beautiful!
What tannery is that shell from?
Rocado
HI Will, you have top leather, top tools, great machines but still after those years i dont see the synergy. I really wish you best.but what are you showing in this video? Any education? Any advise? Any artisian? No. Iam sorry. Dont take this wrong, You strong mate.
hes showing you the process of how he makes something. That's it. Why should he have to break everything down to a tutorial for you? If you want those go find them, or maybe you could put up a video of you making something.
Couldn’t have put it better myself
I like what he did and I wish I'll be half as good as him in the future and I don't have much time left so that's saying a lot.
just wondering a few things. how come you did not skive the edges of the pockets more so that the edge is more even and not so thick, especially the transition between pockets? doing so would make the edge nicer for edge paint. Why not use a softer hammer on your irons? they will mushroom out with a metal hammer? Also you may want to work on your pricking iron angles, your back side of your stitch is very uneven leading to a very wonky stitch.
Metal hammer😥😥😥
I know but I keep whacking my hand using my plastic maul, saving up for a Amy roke hammer
Hi Will,
I’ve never understood the rationale by some people to come here and shit on others craftsmanship. Good on you for continuing to push yourself and put yourself out there.
Best wishes from Canada
thats very kind, thank you Penny!
WHAT KIND OF HAMMER IS THAT. ALSO I'VE SEEN LEATHER LOUPES FOR THOSE TINY PRINT PACKAGES, AT THE STORE. GOD:) BLESS

The video is so helpful, thank you very much
Glad it was helpful!
Ooooh, shiny! I’ve now bought three shells, & I haven’t plucked up the courage to actually cut into them & make something🤦🏽♀️
Great work ❤
They’re an amazing leather, I’m currently working on a video asking if they’re worth it or not
Congrats
Nice job Will!
God bless you dude.
Thank you Joseph!

What do you mean?
LIKE THE MONICAL OR MAGNIFYING GLASS THEY USED WAY BACK WHEN. I HAVE SEEN MAGNIFYING GLASS ENCASED IN A LEATHER SHEATH IF YOU WILL INSTEAD OF METAL. SO A LEATHER FIGURE EIGHT OR DOG BONED SHAPE THAT HOLDS THE GLASS MAGNIFIER. WITH A STRING TO PUT AROUND YOUR NECK FOR THOSE TRIPS TO THE MARKET WHIP IT OUT AND READ THE RIDICULUS PRINT. THE HAMMER WITH THE TAIL FOR POUNDING DOWN THE STITCHING. CURIOUS AS TO THE BRANDING OF IT. CHEERS.
So glad you have your website set up! I look forward to seeing what you put up on it!
Thank you! What have you got in mind/looking for?
@@WillHodges I think I would be inclined to pick up a variety of smaller things made out of high quality leathers. Bits and bobs like notepad covers (maybe with embossed initials), hard formed pen cases to stop ink leaks, (sun)glasses cases and watch straps or travel cases to protect them
@@matthewgreen8264 do you have any particular colours you like?
@@WillHodges Oooh probably either a cognac-y brown or tobacco. Other than that a dark green like British Racing Green
@@matthewgreen8264 keep an eye open. I’ll get to work. I have both of those in beautiful French chèvre
Beautiful work!
Very nice.
Thank you!
