@@soumyashreebiswal14 a clean on the heat sink system and thermal paste replacement and it will be good to go! Unless from the fragile hinges, this laptop is very well built and a good computer even today.
I've had mine since 2011 but haven't used it much since the hinge broke. Shockingly, it can still play Fortnite and Rocket League at respectable frame rates. That processor is a trooper.

Awesome job! I have the same laptop, and it's now in it's eleventh year, and still going strong. I've had it apart at least seven times (some mistakes made me go back in) to change the thermal pads/paste (I think this video shows just thermal past being used, but pads are better on one surface, I forget which), fan, base, battery. I was going to keep it going forever, but now I think it's time to get a new one before any new problems. But I'd love to upgrade it and keep it going, if I had the time...
I exactly have this model laptop and it still runs like a charm without issues. All it needs is change of thermal paste every 2 years. Changed the battery and keyboard at 8 year age of it. It's now 11 years old

This is exactly the laptop I had from 2011 till a year ago. I bought the i7 2630qm with 6gb of ram and nvidia 525m video card. It lasted me through uni and beyond. Everything still works great and it's just as fast on day to day tasks as my custom built pc. It used to overheat, even with new thermal paste applied, so I used liquid metal instead. It now barely ever gets above 90 degrees. It has its resting place in my living room for cuasual web browsing and video watching. Cheers!

I have an N5110 since 2011. I improved it gradually in these years. I installed a 1T SSD and increases its RAM to 12 GB. I installed a new keyboard on it as the old one was gradually failing. The charger stopped working so I had to replace it with a new one. Having a core i5 CPU and a 525m Nvidia graphic card, it is still good enough to play some games. It fully supports project blood strike and Combat Mater on high graphic settings. Apex Legends is also playable with low frame rates on low graphics settings. I love this laptop as I have done my master, PhD and postdoc with it and had a lot of fun with games like Assassins Creed, Crisis, COD and so on

I find it unbelievable how much good tech we waste... Specially in the so called "developed world". I have always wanted to CNC a new aluminium body for an old laptop, give it a shiny new look. Shout out to Endless team who is re-using old hardware and re-purposing it for people who need them in countries where tech can't be treated as toilet paper.

this laptop is kinda beast dude. I've used it from 2014 to 2020. Mine was i7 2670QM, 8G, 640G7200rpm. It was able to handle Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects in the same time. Altough the battery is sucks, 2 times get replace and then the IC charge is broken.

Recently I bought and Asus TUF but I dont want to discard my "old" Dell Inspiron and your video was the green flag to update it. Mine has keyboard and display fully working so it would be easier. I played the video in 0.25 to watch and understand everrything you did. Thanks!
These videos also make me spend basically as much effort to restore laptops that I come to receive in all sorts of wrecked shape. Guess I don't go as deep in things like polish or soaking the case in water, but I do some basic motherboard and keyboard membrane repairs when it is deemed necessary...
Friend, you forgot to mention that the i3 consumed 35w and the power supply was 65w, after replacing it with an i7 45w, the power supply needs to be changed to 130w and there will be overheating in the turbo boost, the cooling system in it is unsuccessful.
I have this laptop model, I bought it in 2012, I've ordered a new SSD that should arrive tomorrow, so Hopefully it would finally get its first upgrade after all those years lol
