Finally a real world viewing angle review. A slow panning all the way off to sides was awesome. Some of us are buying tv's for others not for ourselves. Like buying them for people at a homeless shelter. Where people sit off-angle to the tv. And I can't afford a bunch of Oleds. Thanks! again for the real world angles.😊
keep in mind there's a HUGE difference in viewing angles between the models compared to the 75". I compared them in the store and the 75" has vastly superior viewing angles due to the pro panel which the 55", 65" and 85" don't have. So just be aware, I'm not sure why people talk about "u8n" viewing angles when it really depends on the specific model of u8n.
Recently became aware of a class action lawsuit against Hisense for continuing to sell known defective motherboards..models effected go back about 4 years to include the 6 and 8 series (h9f, u6n, u8n, etc.) only ones not listed are the 7 series. I have the U7N so I lucked out I guess. We do have 2 of the Toshiba m550a (hisense product) that have no problems..great PQ.
To test the viewing angle, it would help you had one steady picture. I believe this way, it would've been easier to understand the change. Thank you for the review. :)
I've been interested in the 85 in. Rtings shows it has lower dimming zones.they say the performance should still be the same as the 65in. Anybody know about this?
Let me know if you get there 85”. I’m torn between the 75 or the 85 and I don’t understand why the bigger TV would have less dimming zones and less overall brightness too seems odd. I know the 75 has the ips/ads pro panel instead of va also
@@MotorheadLars I don't get it either 😂 it should more dimming zones or little more than 75 at least also I ve heard side Angle view of pictures in 85 will be reduced than 75 " viewing angle. Is in that crazy , 😳
I've got 85u8n coming but I've only ever had $400 budget tvs so of course it's going to be badass for me at $1,700 it seemed like a good deal like 45% off
I'm very intrigued to pick this up somebody in my area bought one and didn't have room for it the 65 in for 800 so I'm itching to snag it I currently have the 2021 U8G so I've been rocking with Hisense a while.
Did you try all the different modes? For best picture you should turn off the eco mode settings and use one of the other modes. Check for eco settings that are always on and turn them off. Try a theater mode and adjust the back light to make it brighter or darker. Play around with the modes they have and you’ll come up with something that's just bright enough and gives you the highlights that pop from the screen and make it fun to watch. Eco mode will be a bit dull and you won’t get the contrast, specular highlights and rich colours the tv is capable of. Also, make sure you have the latest software update.
@@Josh_Quinonez In that case I won't purchase the Hisense U8N because I Purchased the 2004 TCL QM851G and I did not like it because my Sony X90L & Samsung S90D look better when watching movies. I noticed that watching HDR 4k OLED videos on TH-cam Pop more on the TCL thanks to its brightness 🔆 I noticed it but when I started watching Netflix I noticed tgat the TV couldn't compete with my other tvs. Another thing that I disliked alot about the TCL was the motion, I like smooth motion (Soap Opera Effect) I has to set the Judder to level 10 to barely have that smooth effect that I like but by doing so there was a lot of artifacts.. Which completely turned me off. I played with the settings but nothing would really help much... I ended up returning the TV next day 😅.
@@FenixPajaritois the Samsung S90D that good for streaming movies? I was considering the Sony Bravia 8 or even the Sony A95L, but the Samsung is just way cheaper that I’m tempted to get it instead, but not sure if it would be almost as good as the Sony’s for movies. Thanks

Great review on the U8N can you tell me how much memory is on the TV? Cuz I have the Hisense 65-inch H9F Annette only has 4 gigs of memory so sometimes it lags and I think that's what causes some of the lagging is when you start eating up memory like when you scroll around on the home screen for map different apps or scrolling around. I think it's got to do with when you start using up memory lags the TV lags but then I went out and got a USB thumb drive 32 gigs and the TV doesn't lag as bad anymore not really that bad at all but yeah great review on this TV I'm going to be buying it here the next couple weeks actually this H9F has a great picture too great colors and yeah it's a good TV I've had it for about 5 years now
@@theripper121 are you sure about that because I did a hard reset on my TV and all my third party apps are on my USB drive so it leaves a lot more memory on the TV and it doesn't lag anymore so I don't know
@@jamieslaughter4204 What apps are on your USB stick vs your tv? If that is actually the case then you might actually be right that it may help. Most TVs only use internal memory for storage and processing and the USB port just for power or video audio input
@@theripper121 yeah all you have to do is format the USB for your TV for storage And then once you do that you can go into settings to where you're all your apps are at and you can move them too the USB drive for storage.. And then it opens up memory for the TV it's all good yep
@@jamieslaughter4204 I see. In this case I could see how that could certainly help especially if the storage was maxed out on the tv. Ultimately though I think you factory resetting it and clearing all the cache was the reason you feel it has sped up. Not sure how much memory is available on the U8n. I've never had to check. I have a u8n I'll try to look for you later.
HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should try your Hisense U8N with the PS5 Pro because the TV has mini LED Pro, it suits the super resolution of PS5 Pro, don't you think?

Also, something that should be mentioned, the 75" has way better viewing angles compared to the others due to the pro panel. I compared all 4 side by side in the store and the 75" by far was the best when it came to viewing angles.
You sound more like a Fanboy. I had the 2024 TCLQM851 and the Motion is trash and the image is not very sharp in real content. My S90D & X90L looked better. I already returned the QM8
