@@RedShocktrooperRSTIf I'm remembering correctly, there's only two Vim power armor sets that generate on their own, the rest you have to craft yourself. One is inside the Vim factory, meaning it's surrounded by super mutants, so it makes sense why that one hasn't been scavenged yet. The other one though is just sitting in a truck in the middle of the road, fusion core and all, so yeah not too clear on how that one's still there.
@@RedShocktrooperRST Well true, but apparently they've been there for a while, and it's possible something else was living there before that was problematic for regular humans but easily dealt with by super mutants (like ferals or something). I also don't think that one has a fusion core in it by default if memory serves, so that might have something to do with it.
If you do it right you can get the power armor on the roof without going through the building, just do some parkour from the church I believe and you can grab it, you do need to get a fusion core before but that's not difficult. I did that without realizing I could on my second playthrough.
@@trashman2110 Under the Red Rocket in the irradiated cave with radroaches you can find a fusion core. Another one is in the robot recycling at the north edge of the map between Olivia and Sanctuary. That's also a spot where you can find another set of power armor (t-45) at the crashed vertibird. Both are really easy to grab even at low level.
@@ArtyKibbles2190 If you have a minigun in your inventory you can mention it to them. It has to specifically be a minigun, however. Which is a bit of a sham given how crap the minigun's scaling is.

@@davidboss2160 when i found the X-02 mk VI, from the enclave camp's the only moments when i get out of the power armor are two: 1- use any crafting table (armor, weapons, drugs, etc) 2- use any terminal who say *you cant use this with a power amor" Most of my time is spent walking around the Comonwealth with my x-02 and kicking ass with "la Homelander" (a submachine gun with the legendary explosive advantage).
I just dislike how quickly the armor runs out of juice. Also the ingredients to repair the higher end power armors are annoying. I do like the concept of power armor durability for balance and immersion, so you can maintenance your armor. But damn I wish it only costed steel to repair.

And I'm assuming why stronger power armors are more expensive to repair is for balance reasons or to give other power armors a chance to shine.

There are some that make you earn it; like the X-01 power armor, since it's the strongest power armor in Fallout 4. I guess the others are easier to obtain because they're not as strong as the X-01.
In new vegas you had to complete several quests to get power armor, it felt so good. If they did the same thing in fo4 it would be the most orgasmic thing in the world

I'm an oldfart who remembers when FO3 was BRAND NEW, no DLC's at all...and this was one of the biggest flaws. "I hope they fix this in an addon." Nope, they didn't. "I hope they fix this in the next game." FO:NV - nope, they didn't. "I hope they fixed this in the NEXT game....right...guys?" FO4 - "nope, 50-IQ logic still applies here!"
Unless the next bloke we run into is armed with a can opener I'd say we're good to go - cate 5 second's later power armor is heavily damaged 3 limbs are missing the helmet and chest are flashing red and you barely managed to beat the 1 raider with a 10mm that did this
I gave a power armour set to curie once. 20 seconds after she got it, she engaged a nuka mirelurk. 2 seconds after that, the leg pieces were gone. What in the actual fuck ?

Funny note: if you're strong enough, that doesn't matter. In another game some NCR troopers used suits with the servos stripped out because the Republic couldn't maintain them. "It feels like you're wearing a Brahmin, but it provides great protection".
easiest to get a good friendship going aswell, do bos quests and he'll like it, climb into power armor and he'll like it aswell. you can literally make danse like you by just climbing in and out of armor
If you get in a BOS suit infront of a group of syths(after destroying prydewn) the sythn courser will tell you to be carefull wearing that you might be mistaken for a brotherhood
Lore wise the T-51b has life support and a recycler inside, ye, yes we know already, It's pretty disgusting but it saves your life ok, moving on, the T-45b & T-60 dot have that instead they have either a small septic tank that can be swapped out like ammo mags, while the Enclave & Institute series has the same as the T-51b's
Wolfgang has a reaction too, he reacts if you wear a vaultsuit or powerarmor side note my personal preference is T-45 helmet with T-60 Chassis X-01 legs and T-51 arms, with either Military Paint or the CC Minutemen Paint(Cavalry chest with Patriot for everything else), about half of it can be looted from Clint in Quincy
Dialogues change when u use the X-01 and ur prone to fight anything. Not kidding, but it doesnt happen having a companion, it happens with the npc's. Some Lancers of the Bortherhood rarely say u look "familar" (wearing the X-01), this never happens using any other power armor suit. The vault 81 residents would just say u look scary with the helmet. And the armored corporal gunners would admit they cant do nothing aganist u in that power armor.
All of Nick's lines, Piper's 3rd line and Danse's 1st line are my favorites. The raider mentioning batteries and the DC guard ar the very end are very cool too.
Playing arma reforger really changed my outlook on the brotherhood and ncr, it’s really cool being a private and seeing the president of the ncr roll up 4 deep with bos members by his side and him in a nice suit and you’re standing by knowing your ether going to war or we are starting the war. Edit: might not be canon lore wise yet but it is fun seeing those two groups together. The enclave are also in a alliance with us so our bases have like 3 army’s in them sometimes but rare
The overseer of vault 81 says something along the lines of “what’s that power armor for? We’re not raiders you know.” And a random institute scientist told me something about how he would love to take apart my power armor and see how it works.

I think there’s dialogue if you holding a minigun too but I’ve not tried in a while so I’m not 100% sure

I gave a power armour set to curie once. 20 seconds after she got it, she engaged a nuka mirelurk. 2 seconds after that, the leg pieces were gone. What in the actual fuck ?

I just gave Nora a Set to take on the Gunners and the Courser at "Hunter/Hunted", but her's got mostly destroyed while mine recieved minor damage.

Funny note: if you're strong enough, that doesn't matter. In another game some NCR troopers used suits with the servos stripped out because the Republic couldn't maintain them. "It feels like you're wearing a Brahmin, but it provides great protection".

Paladin danse is one of the best companions, change my mind
easiest to get a good friendship going aswell, do bos quests and he'll like it, climb into power armor and he'll like it aswell. you can literally make danse like you by just climbing in and out of armor

Lore wise the T-51b has life support and a recycler inside, ye, yes we know already, It's pretty disgusting but it saves your life ok, moving on, the T-45b & T-60 dot have that instead they have either a small septic tank that can be swapped out like ammo mags, while the Enclave & Institute series has the same as the T-51b's
love the t-51 and raider power armor just wish it could be upgraded to keep up a little bit with mid game stuff, it just looks so good

I absolutely ADORE the concept of Power armor.
Fallout's is cool, but i will always adore the Iron Man armor and 40k's Space Marine Power Armor

side note my personal preference is T-45 helmet with T-60 Chassis X-01 legs and T-51 arms, with either Military Paint or the CC Minutemen Paint(Cavalry chest with Patriot for everything else), about half of it can be looted from Clint in Quincy
I honestly wonder how fallout 5 (whenever that'll be) will handle the power armor. Cuz this feels like the peak for the armor.
Considering how badly they screwed up the series I'd be ok with FO4 being the last.

Dialogues change when u use the X-01 and ur prone to fight anything.
Not kidding, but it doesnt happen having a companion, it happens with the npc's.
Some Lancers of the Bortherhood rarely say u look "familar" (wearing the X-01), this never happens using any other power armor suit.
The vault 81 residents would just say u look scary with the helmet.
And the armored corporal gunners would admit they cant do nothing aganist u in that power armor.
Had a Raider said "Power armor huh? Bring it" and i honored her with a melee fight. Yes she was charging me with a tire iron.

This is why starfield will never be as good as fallout 4. There's no power armor(yet).
The scientists at the institute say "Power armor, effective, but not exactly efficient." Or something to that effect if I remember right.
All of Nick's lines, Piper's 3rd line and Danse's 1st line are my favorites. The raider mentioning batteries and the DC guard ar the very end are very cool too.
Playing arma reforger really changed my outlook on the brotherhood and ncr, it’s really cool being a private and seeing the president of the ncr roll up 4 deep with bos members by his side and him in a nice suit and you’re standing by knowing your ether going to war or we are starting the war.
Edit: might not be canon lore wise yet but it is fun seeing those two groups together. The enclave are also in a alliance with us so our bases have like 3 army’s in them sometimes but rare

X-02/X-03 was made by the enclave post war
