I think you're not able to sell the t-51b because of the fact it's the only set in the game
it would be cool if you could to the outcasts though and you could steal it back even if you did sell it
There’s also the Winterized set but I think that one also doesn’t work because it’s the sim version of the set. So even if it was possible to turn in the armor, the sim version probably wouldn’t have the necessary tag that would allow you to do that.
@@dustyfedora Winterized was added in DLC, and they either didnt want to or didnt think to change it to allow you to turn the normal set over to the outcasts.

@@stephenromero7298 when Bethesda made the DLC they pulled a Bethesda and the armor that you obtain at the end is the Sim Version that has around 10,000,000 HP as opposed to the Wasteland version which has around 1,000 HP
I think with mods you can patch the game so that it gives the intended version of the armor though.

@@caonguyenngo8431 before Skyrim, they had a cast they usually asked to voice characters. skyrim funny enough has around 70 different voice actors.

@@_The_Black_Cerberus_ damage resistance in FO3 = 1 DR is 1% damage reduction, so 10 DR is 10% damage reduction flat vs any weapon (So 200 becomes 180)
FONV = DT which is a flat reduction down to a min of 20% damage, using the example from above 200 damage vs 10 DT becomes 190 (so 200 - 10)
So similar in concept (Reducing damage) but different in execution (Be it I may got DT wrong, it is more complex to speak of)

I honestly dont understand how someone could dislike the changed they made for power armor in FO4
Dont get me wrong, FO3 and New Vegas style PA is iconic, but the feeling of weight and serious mechanical power in FO4's version is so superior IMO
I honestly agree, the artist change really suited PA. The thing I don’t like is fusion core nonsense and how weak it feels, I don’t get the impression that I’m a walking tank bringing dome to any fool and his friends who picked the wrong day to be alive it instead feels like just anther suit of armor slightly better than combat armor. I mean come on, this was the technology that broke the back of the Chinese army in Alaska! The suits of armor that brought the Americans close to victory and would’ve won had it not been for bombs. They should be overpowered in my opinion for lore reasons and to make up for that should really hard to find and impossible to wear without training.
@@Berserker3624add in the fact that a single fusion core can be found powering buildings for how long and still be either full or really close. I honestly think the time limit is vastly diminished for gameplay compared to the lore
Hate is not for how it looks in FO4, but how it works. Fusion cores were extremely stupid retcon for the sake of showing power armor in your face when you visit concord. When laws and rules of the world are bent and broken for the sake of the plot, that doesn't make for a great experience, you know. Same with the fact that every single armor has one universal frame and can interchange parts, it's just rewriting lore for the sake of a single gameplay feature. That's what people don't like about F04 power armor, not how it looks.

It's interesting Sara reacts to the armor, because you don't get armor training until way later in the game.
The anchorage DLC trains you with PA for free, and I think technically you can do "that" at any time.

@@JArbiter3784 I don't remember that, I remember playing Fallout 3 on Xbox 360, I did Anchorage and I couldn't put the T-51 on, so I assumed you just hold onto it until you get armor training.
@@ninjaknight6715 You must be either misremebering or you game was bugged because the DLC does give you PA Training.
From the wiki:
"The add-on can be played at any time after the player character exits Vault 101 at the beginning of the game. After completing the simulation, they are free to unlock the armory via the terminal, and also receives Power Armor Training."
I like the little bits for the Operation Anchorage DLC when you're wearing Outcast armor like a disguise and for when you first meet Sarah Lyons in power armor. Neat details on both parts.

I think the reason why they don't respond to your Enclave Power Armour is because after the escape from the Enclave in the Monument with the Dr. You get the the Tesla and Normal versions so Quickly, so they didn't want them to go instantly aggro on you during the BoS Citadel Introduction.
But it would have been cool, if they implemented like an Altered version for you with their logo and painting on it if you come in with Enclave P.A.
Maybe at first comment that you should be careful or you might get shot or something next time you come rushing with their literal enemies armour

There is. You have to complete the virtual simulation of the Operation Anchorage DLC and then you’ll be able to wear any power armor.

I was in Enclave power armored thanks to the power armor training glitch and an interesting random encounter.
When I walked up to the Outcast BOS for the Anchorage DLC and got the same response as if I was in Outcast power armor
Interesting how the games took different directions with power armor. In Fallout 3 it is more like armor you put on but in fallout 4 they are actually suits of armor powered by fusion cores that you can enter and exit not just put on and take off.
When I made it to Bailey's Crossroads Metro, Morrill and some other Outcasts were already dead

I like the Outcasts, they are what the Brotherhood is, jerks in power armor. Well outside of Fallout 3 and Tactics
Unfortunatley, on my playthrough (in TTW), Defender Morril dies so fast I couldn't save him... Oh well....
this is kinda one of many reason I can't replay FO3, tho I stil respect the game for introducing me to the Fallout franchise, I just hope they add more depth to the character, dialogue and the overall story

The first time I played and completed fallout 3 I never used power armor, can't remember why I think it wast because I didn't have the ability or something

i mean, realistically he would try and take it from you; but, there is only 2 suits of T-51 in the game, and one of those is locked behind DLC, so if he did it would be really rude, piss off the player, and force you back to your last save if you wanted to keep it.

man, initially i hated the 3/nv power armor jump to 4, but 10 years later i have to prefer 4/76. i used to think power armor was like boba fett's or the mandalorian's suit. i used to think NCR ranger armor was power armor, and gaslit myself into thinking so for years because i thought it was cool. now i think big bulky unga dunga is cool. wrist jets is too far tho.

didn't played it for a while but if I remember correctly, they argue between themself if they should let you pick the loot or not and they start blasting each other, you included, you can save the ones wanting you to keep the loot and one of them will become a barter or repairman, something like that.

Bethesda didn't have the foresight of scripting unique reactions because the way that Fallout 3 is designed makes it fundamentally impossible to have power armor until you're a Brotherhood member, at which point is somewhat late in the story, and everyone knows who you are.
They couldn't foresee a person wearing Enclave armor without even being in the Brotherhood.
Enclave figuring you out is really lame, but even worse is BoS not reacting when you wear the armor of their sworn enemies!

Why fallout 3 power armor are so small?
Fallout 4 changed the way Power Armor works. Prior to that it was just treated as another suit of armor rather than the walking tank we see in Fallout 4 and beyond. Because of that it is scaled down to better fit the user instead of making you tower over everyone.
Casdin just straight up robs you of your outcast power armor was so annoying Id give to a companion first before talking to him
They didnt do this in a meaningful way until New Vegas

Man, the power armore was so much cooler and easier to use in old games. No fuss with fusion cores, no fuss with unmatching pieces. Talk about overburdening the concept with useless stuff.

Fallout 3 is super shitty. New Vegas is what FO3 should have been. All the factions, story, weapons, color is much more likeable IMO. Fallout 3 really feels last gen
