I saw that, you were heading to another fell if I remember rightly. I used my Garmin 6X Pro to navigate as plotted the whole route from the Coast to a coast guide manually and worked really well.
We did this section over 2 days (we did do the high route past the Lion and the Lamb) - don't think I could have gotten through to Patterdale even if I wanted to (St Sunday Crag was too misty to walk) so had to do the low route here - it was pishing it down - but today we finished the whole walk - YAHOO!!!! Well worth the walk!!
I think 2 days is probably the way to do this section but I had the double planned and was tough. It was a 13hr day with a Nicola’s injury to her calf too. If I was doing this solo I think it would’ve been alright that day but I’d never stay in Patterdale again I think it’s worth pushing on to Angle Tarn and camping there. That would’ve been tough going over the high route I’m bet you’re glad you didn’t do that haha. Well done on completing the whole route it’s an amazing achievement! Now rest those legs haha!
@@iainmc9226 Aww don’t be tight. I can’t believe she carried on she did so well. I thought we’d have to turn back. Worse part of this route was the stupid long track to that campsite. What did you say….it’s just up the track. Yeah right 😂
Feel your pain guys it's a good day that one big slog up green up edge down to Grasmere I missed grassmere and called in the travellers rest for a beer and food another slog up to Grizedale house and as you say it goes on forever 😀 I ended up going up,to angle tarn so 3 big climbs I was ready to stop by then 🤣 Great vid Kris real story of how it really is on trail and you had rain 😉 let's see what Tomorrow brings atb daz
@@dazbass007 cheers Daz. Yeah the high route ended up adding a couple of hours onto the route. The path down from it to Grasmere though was the worst it’s pretty steep. Yeah I saw you headed towards angle tarn. If Nicola hadn’t hurt her leg would’ve been nice to get there. I didn’t want to film her struggling but we ended up walking for nearly 13 hours that day she did well I thought we were going to have to turn back.
