    Wainwrights Coast to Coast - 2022
    =============================
    At the end of May 2022 I challenged myself to take on the Wainwrights Coast to Coast walk. This is a 192 mile walk starting on the West Coast at St.Bees travelling through the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors to finally arrive in Robin Hoods Bay.
    I can't believe I made it to Day 11! I woke up at 5am eager to get to the finish so had a new, packed up and set off with Iain at 6am. I was in no rush to get to the finish only 10 miles away as I would be waiting for Nicola to come and pick me up.
    We made our way through Falling Foss through the forest and woodland and spotted the waterfall. Then a big surprise to me was climbing back out and being on top of the moors again. This felt longer than 10 miles.
    Around 5 miles form the finish we decided to split up as I wanted to finish alone. My whole plan was to tackle to Coast to Coast alone however deciding to do the first 4 days with Nicola and rubbing shoulders with various people on the walk and varying solo and waking together it honestly made it.
    The 3 miles on the finish was tough going with my sore heels but I made it! Unfortunately I lost my pebble but still had the 2 I took for my son and daughter which I threw into the sea at Robin hoods Bay. I then headed into a quirky cafe for a couple of breakfast bars and a drink and rested for a couple of hours before heading into Wainwrights bar for a much needed pint of three.
    In the bar a few other Coast to Coaster turned up and had a beer with them and our last chats. Then it was time to head outside and meet Nicola.
    I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has helped and supported me through this journey. The likes, comments, donations, words of encouragement and of course the people I met. If you are unsure of whether to do this challenge then hopefully my videos and stories will convince you to try, it's amazing.
    The biggest advice I can offer is don't rush! We all talk about how many days etc... Yes I did it quite quick in 11 and sure on my own I should hit 9 or 10. However I wouldn't want to. If I did it again I'd take 12 as meeting people and chatting and staying near other people make it.
    These videos have kick started my TH-cam again so I will be doing a lot more in the future and trying to maintain regular trips out and vlogs.
    If you would like to know more about the walk or have any questions with the route, the gear or anything else then please do drop a comment below and I will be sure to reply. If you can also like the video and subscribe this would really help my channel and you will be the first to see new videos.
    Thanks for taking the time to check out the video.
    Kris
