The Plainsman we owned was originally painted green, and it had Oliver 2655 tags on it. It had the 800 LP motor, and we farmed with it for many years. Sold it to a guy in Wisconsin.
Did these engines last a lot longer on propane? And for a while when I was younger propane was less than half that of diesel. As everyone went to propane it's cost then went up. What I know about propane is it produced about 3/4's that of oil and diesel so plus keeping the engine oil clean and having low power relatively the engines seem to last unless you turbo it. When you add 20lbs boost engines just go away.
I didn’t know we had that many A4T-14, 1600’s in the thumb. I do know a guy with a couple of MM’s in his barn up in Carsonville. Me, I had a 1962 Chockshutt 550 I bought used from the old Willis Oliver/White in Marine City. I wish I still had it, but life happens. The octagon Barn is a real good time, but my stepson is running the Demo Derby at Richmond Good Old Days this year.
😊😊 HI DAN those tractors 🚜 😊 made back in the early 197OS are already 55 years old they were used 4 pull and field tractors they always look better when they are repainted and look the way they was brand new 😊😊 and there was a time ⏲️ 😊 when people used steam cleaners 2 wash equipment U have 2 get all of the dirt mud grit oil and grease off of them if U 😮😮 don't the dirt will show through the paint and U have 2 take your time painting U want it 2 look great 😊😊 and the decals and a tractor 🚜 😊 dealers sticker even if U have 2 have them remade because U can't go back in time 😉 😮 and go back 2 the tractor dealer no more its sad 😮 2 say I haven't seen it done yet 😮😮 OMG 11 9 2O24
People in Texas put steel wheels on their tractors to work in fields with mesquite trees in them. I wouldn't think that would be much of a problem in your area.
It's hard to say which is more value. They are the same tractor with different paint and badging. In my opinion, Olivers seem to command more money at auctions..generally speaking.
Good job
Dan, fantastic video. It’s priceless to see all those tractors together and in a parade. Thanks
Dan,great, thank your producers also, they did great Dad, ok,the lift was super, thank you,see ya on the next one!
All together

The historybof the A4T is very interesting to read.
Great video, love seeing all the AT4's
Great video as always 😊
Very cool. I like the 2655 oliver..
Beautiful stand of corn there😊
It looks pretty good even with the hail damage.
Unfortunately I missed you when you were live but still, you have some pretty cool tractors plus pretty cool stories to go with them. Great show.
Never really liked the looks of these types of tractors but since your video i have a new respect for them
They should get a video of ken driving all the tractors he owns and drive them at his farm
@@CraigMarchand we discussed that very thing
I miss operating a White, great old days. :)

Are the the A4T-1600 Plainsman more valuable than the 2655 Olivers?

You can tell the tractors you don't want to look at because you just blow the people off
