I am absolutely in your debt for this tutorial because it has been worrying me for a long time now that if I have to reinstall Windows on my unsupported hardware Ivy Bridge build then this is going to save me so many headaches. Frankly, this whole system change nonsense from Microsoft that seems to be getting worse by the day is really tedious and so unnecessary for those of us who have used Microsoft's systems for a very long time now. I have to say this has worked flawlessly. I've never been able to install W11 on my 8 year old PC, but this method has worked. I'm just running it on a separate hard drive alongside Windows 10, to see if it all works as I install all my apps. Thanks for this video, it is very clearly explained.

rufus is the best option in my opinion, it already has had the ability to do this for a while, one issue is if you have a pc that has bitlocker disabled with this methord on one pc then another one that dosn't, i ran into an issue where my external hdd's would all say they were read only. good video as always m8.

Tempted to do this with Windows 11 Enterprise. Just need to get a key for it and find the ISO. Getting fed up of the junk.

Most Excellent video - makes creating an USB Boot Drive - Windows 8,10,11 easy and to Bypass Microsoft Restrictions - Refus may need to be updated - When Copilot / Recall is added / try to enforce this on to users - Rebuild / New PC's and read it is only for PCs with NPU and SNAPDragON CHIP NPU X ELITE Chips. Highly likely that Bitlocker & Recall / Copilot will be installed as default and mandatory for future MS Surface tablets
Ya That Rufus is a great way to get windows 10 & 11 ISO onto a Boot able flash drive. Easy to install and stop Bit Locker and Microsoft Account sign in. Nice video Brian !

Brian while doing the same thing a couple of days ago after installing it said the version wasn't activated. Just thought6 i'd mention it as microsoft seem to have done something that doesn't allow rufus to automatically activate.... I must point out though it is very intermittent inasmuch if you rewrite the iso again to the usb then the first time you use it it may work. Keep up the good work

Thank You very much for showing us this, I really hope this helps any Windows 11 user who doesn't want to go the Linux route or would not be able to make the big jump to Linux. I also hope that Microsoft are forced to stop installing the Copilot AI program onto users but most definitely hope that common sense prevails against Microsoft needing to force it's Recall spying software onto us all. I am still going to go the Linux route as a choice because Microsoft has dug it's heels in as far as spyware goes and I hope it costs them millions in court appeals against the new Microsoft Windows Chinese version that nobody wants or needs.

I found a solution; I "upgraded" my Windows 11 Pro 23H2 to Windows 10 Pro 22H2. Peace and quiet until October 2025 until my Linux ship comes in. A bonus with Windows 10 is that I have the normal folder icons again. With 5,000+ photos, it's easier to find photos than with the folders in Windows 11. I've seen my fair share of blue screens since February 21st with this "so-called upgrade" called Windows 11 23H2. Microsoft must have hired some engineers from Boeing it appears.
Is this for a new install only or can you upgrade a win 10 installation as well

Great, I made both a Windows 10 and 11 USB. Although I don't get why Microsoft has to make it such a problem to begin with. Just have a button for a local account if i want and another one for Bit Locker I already paid for Windows let me do what I want.
One question, i have W11 on my pc and going to new motherboard and cpu , is Windows reconnect this chance with problem? I know that my key maybe lost but i just buy another.My actual is AM4 and go to AM5,can you help?

Happy to finally have ISO right in my pocket, but I am pretty sure this happiness won't last for long because some whistleblower will inform Microsoft about this and this loophole will also be blocked by Microsoft. Anyway, I will still make a bootable usb just in case.
Would be cool if I could make a bootable ISO out of the boot files rufus has for the bypassed windows 11 installer. I've tried with AnyBurn and other apps and I just can't get it to work. I'd love to have that modified ISO on my Ventoy drive a long with my other tools.

Ventoy also has a Windows 11 requirements bypass by editing ventoy.json file
I Always use RUFUS to install windows on my systems. but the moment MS removes that method, I'll be migrating to Linux in the future.
If one has been using windows 11 for a while, and you disable bitlocker, will the existing files be encrypted? Is there a way to reverse those files with NO encryption?

Can I use this methode for updating an existing win 10 installation?
sorry but this doesn't work for me, I get to the point when I'm ready to create the bootable usb drive but after I click on "start" a few seconds later it comes up failed with a message saying "unable to access drive", then when I go to file explorer the usb drive is now no longer showing as accessable, I can't even re-format it, only thing I can do is go to disk management and create a new volume, tried with several different usb drives but the same thing happens. UPDATE: so after a visit to the help page on the Rufus site, it turns out they recommend that you turn off Windows "controlled folder access" setting, once I had done this I was then able to make a bootable Windows 11 drive using Rufus.
I tried to download the iso and it would not let me do it. Why? I had my location turned off. I turned location back on and it downloaded.
The Bypass thing doesn't show up on windows 7. Rufus Version 3.22 (That was the last win 7 working version according to their website)
What would you suggest?

How can I move my Installed Programs to Freshly installed Windows 11
I am running an activated copy of win 10, if I use rufus to install win 11, will it automatically activate?
I use Acronis True Image, so I have an Acronis bootable USB and DVD-ROM so that I can simply restore my entire system from my latest True image.

All I want to do is play games. It seems like I need to go to university and learn computer science to be able to enjoy using one.
I don't trust hash verification of an .iso file with any third-party installer. So I'd rather download the iso first, check the hash, then put it on maybe Rufus, but I wanna do it manually somewhat like I do on linux.

This method (followed step by step) has locked me completely out of my PC. After my first reboot, it asked me for a password to get back in. I don't have a password. There was no implementation of a password throughout this process. Now I'm in a world of trouble, with no clean installer. Apart from this, Rufus made one.
Still waiting for 23H2. Despite meeting every device requirement, no sign of it.

After MS announced their Windows 11 + copilot that takes pics of your activities every 3 seconds, does anyone really need Windows?
This process has failed 3 times for me. The error message says "Unable to patch setup files to boot." Help!
Never mind ... I figured it out!
Well, what i don't understand Why would anybody want to choose NTFS (5:20) for One's USB drive?
And another thing: It's very much OK to show people this method it's just that this is not something new, Rufus has been giving Us this option(s) for quite some time.
NTFS allows larger files. Try adding a 4gb video to a FAT 32 partition. You can't.
@@Sonya_Makepeace Oh my god, we're talking here Windows installation USB drive, are You sure some older (or more exotic) BIOSes support NTFS?
And by the way, I would still choose (and I do) exFAT over NTFS on my USB drive so I can tranfer files between Windows and Android (or any other Os for that matter)

U don't need USB unless there is no os in the new hard drive.
Just use virtual disk as USB then copy files.

I am probly going to use this.when windows 10 goes end of life.thats when i got to w11 since linux is still amparatively bad at gaming.
You need only an Ubuntu USB Installer.

You can't modify or tweak Apple/Macs in any way, shape or form. I think MS dreams of the day when their OS becomes like Apple/Mac!
RUFUS tool is very good when by passing MS requirements . MS is opening its own grave

@ardaghion -Apple is worse, but Microsoft is pushing us into a corner and not allowing us to remove all artificial intelligence in the new versions that are implementing it. Apple is way worse with proprietary products, and being overpriced as part of their issues. What choice are we going to have in October, 2025??? Windows does everything and Bill Gates knew it was the software, not the hardware. He was right, but it's wrong a lot of what's going on with ALL of these companies, not just Microsoft or Apple. It's Google, and on and on.
They already turned into apple by making these rediculous hardware requirements that was never there in the previous versions of windows. For example the TPM and CPU.
@TheMegatron673 I do agree with TPM 2 0 and Secure Boot and the hardware requirements. Hardware is just as much part of security and being current. I upgrade my motherboard and CPU every 5 years or so. The issues I have with Microsoft and Apple are implementing artificial intelligence into their new versions.
Microsoft are getting worse if that is possible.

If your PC support windows 10, i recommend to stay in windows 10. W11 is full spyware by now.
