Morning Elaine,when you was showing us the lovely things you got on holiday it just tuck me back to when my husband and I stayed in Italy I fell in love with the the place every thing about it is fabulous when you was talking about your holiday I kept thinking about our holiday there I would love to see a vlog about Pompeii and hurcalansus not sure IV spelt that write but I'm sure you no what I mean, when you say the places you went to in Italy it takes me back ❤😊

I am Italian, and South African, although I live in Germany now. 😅
I do speak Italian, my mother, and grandparents are Italian.
I think you chose such beautiful clothes. Evdrything is lovely. It made me happy to see you happy. 😁
I know that feeling of excitement going shopping in Italy.
Their shops or boutiques are beautiful, & the packaging, and the Italians are about beauty, art, style and quality.
I wanted to compliment you on how feminine and pretty you look in your gorgeous dresses, and jewellery.
They were worth it because they will last for years.
The shoes for your husband were an excellent buy and look stylish.
You can dress them up or down.
My grandfather bought the best Italian mens shoes and always dressed impeccably.
I went to Italy last year in July/Aug.
I wanted to get to a market but we were stuck in traffic. Finding parking was another storey.
The market decided to close early because a storm was coming. It was one of those days. The market was on open on a Sat morning and we were leaving the area so I had to get there.
I ran into the market like a mad person and shopped running. 😅
I bought a black leather cross body handbag similar to yours with different straps.
I bought two pairs of shoes and two summer dresses that are in fashion in Italy.
And a silver cross body bag to put your phone in, and some money, great if you don't want to carry much while walking.
Don't ask me how I did it in 20 minutes as they were packing up. I was determined!! 😂
I was very upset because they had such amazing things at the market which I couldn't even enjoy looking at and take my time.
There are things I needed for home.
I love boutiques but do find the prices much higher.
I usually try to go to the markets, but of course, you can't get everything at a market like the hand made music box which is a treaure.
In 20 years, it will be considered vintage. And vintage Italian music jewellery boxes are valuable. That is how I think of it. 😁
I also love buying Italian groceries and buy Salame, Parmegiano cheese, etc, to bring home. 😅
I much prefer Italian cuisine.
There are things I can't find in Germany believe it or not.
They also have lovely quality but are different to Italy.
One thing I bought in Italy was standard pillows and white cotton pillow cases.
Germans sleep with a single duvet each and a continental pillow?
I also need a queen size, and king size duvet and the covers which I can't find in Germany.
A peculiarity to me.
So, if I go to Italy, I like to get things for home.
I also bought a bottle of Limoncello😅, and a creamy pistaccio liquor on this last trip. I haven't opened it yet. 😅
And lots of olive oil. Thank goodness because the price for olive oil has gone through the roof. One can read up on climate change and pests infecting the olive trees. 😢
I hope you get years of pleasure from all the beautiful treasures you bought in Italy.
I hope to visit France and England in summer.
It is not because I am Italian that I am saying this. Italians are known for style and beauty.
Every country has something about it.
I also love products made in England.
I go thrift shopping regularly and love things that are made in England, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Germany and Sweden, to name a few.
Each have their own something special.

I went to Pompei (amongst other places in Italy) 50yrs ago and I still marvel and Talmud about it, amazing history. My husband bought several pairs of shoes in Italy and he still wears them 50yrs later and he has them soled and heeled especially the ones he wears a lot, you just can’t get leather soles in Uk in many places
Evening Elayne, what a lovely video of all your gifts from the Amalfi coast and as you said so nice to purchase from family business that hand make good quality items. Sadly we have lost those traditions in the UK. You were like a giddy kipper opening everything up and good for you, spoiling yourself and David! ! That area of Italy recalls so many memories for me of a lovely holiday I spent with my Mum. Who has since passed now .
