Randolph Childress had the greatest conference tournament performance in NCAA history (and that includes every Div I league), especially considering the level of competition he accomplished it against! He was on a playing field of his own and the fact he put it in Carolina's face made it that much better! And of course his legendary "Bring It On" crossover on the helpless Jeff McInnis and following it up with salt in the wound three downright filthy! I vividly remember exactly where I was watching every minute of that game! 23 years old at the time! My next to last semester at Western Carolina University

A lot of respect for the way players used to respect their teammates and opponents back in the day. 💯💯💯

This was a battle for seeding that year - the winner would be the #1 in the East and the loser would be the #2 in another region. However it worked out better for UNC as they would make the Final Four out of the South while Wake got clipped by Big Country and OK State in the Sweet 16.

Great game a lot of nba level talent on both teams the 90s acc was great many talented players and legendary coaches and games back still when guys played for the name on the front of the jersey no social media guys didn't jump to the nba so fast in this era so teams were able to become better and compete against unc and dukes all American players perfect example this wake team.

Watching Tim him hold Rasheed Wallace to 4 pts one game...and then Tim and Childress upset Rasheed and Stackhouse in the ACC tournament! I was all like "wouldn't it be great if by some miracle we drafted him" 💭
    THEN IT HAPPENED 🎯

Boy I knew it was over when Wallace turned his ankle stack was savage but wake and Childress were the better team that day Childress was on 🔥🔥🔥 this whole tournament one of the best individual performances ever.
