      @@buzzerbeater3350 yupp Childress was nice but even Iverson good pass his asss off if you look at some of his assists in college you can tell he was just talented enough to do whatever he wanted Chris jackson Kenny anderson were way better than Randolph childress he could just shoot those short 2 guards who can just shoot never really pan out only one I can think of is steph curry but steph ain't as short as people think and steph even though awkward can attack the basket get you in the air and score inside the paint

      Yeah he did. He murked that whole tournament, dropping 30 burgers like it was nothing and practically won the final against our Heels single handedly. Crossed up Jeff McInnis, even did a “come on get up” motion to him before dropping another three, one of nine he made en route to 37 points, including all Wake’s points in overtime.

    Dang, I remember that tournament where Childress caught fire. It was pretty awesome. I remember the lady at the end of that interview on this video asking Tim Duncan if he wanted to leave early and go pro and he laughed at her. It was kind of funny because the trend at the time was guys leaving sophmore or junior year especially after a great performance, Tim Duncan had zero plans for leaving early.

    I'm 41yrs old. I've been following basketball college & NBA for yrs. I even played in high school & AAU. How has Carlisimo stayed in & around the game so long. I only remember him having a good run at Seton Hall. And I believe that the players earned that for him. Everywhere else he has been a mediocre, avg at best, coach. Not to mention the same storylines have played out the same with several players and him. No playing time for a deserving player. Or can't get along with marquee players. Can anyone explain to me why he has hung around the basketball world as long as he has.

    • @stuntedgrowth
      @stuntedgrowth  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He's protected 1st off, if you know what I mean. Secondly, once these white coaches get in there, (some black) they just keep recycling them based on resume and familiarity/friendships built over the years. You're right. Same with Jeff Van Gundy bum ass. D'antoni, luke walton. but also Mike brown, ty lue ad more.

      I feel you on that protection, go from bad coach, to bad commentators, back to bad coach, and so on etc. All the while collecting fat checks.. for basically watching basketball. Interfering with the careers of players with coaching decisions and fueling a narrative of a players "personality, fit(place in the game)"Melo", with their commentary. Good players can be made great by commentators, as well as great players can be downplayed by commentators.
