No matter what we think, what path we treat, what other living being we eat (animal, plant, fungi, even air and water containing so many tiny beiings, not to speak of minerals and finally atomic structures) ... all of it is nature - as long as we do it with loving respect and care in the way we "hunt" it, "kill" it and the way we feed us with it.
I deeply agree we must change our perception towards the way we treat our "food" - all our food... and with it the entitiy we live in.
Thanks for the video, Arith 🌻

Even though they won't admit it, true native american religion is that of Peganism, Animism, and symbolism. It is the most natural form of religion that comes from within us. It's a beautiful thing that the world needs now more than ever

While this is true, I still avoid saying this. They have lost a lot of their original religion and the wounds are still fresh. We'd be better to allow them to come to this conclusion on their own, and when they do We'll accept them with open arms like we have with many others. Personally me I am German Lakota, from what I've seen of my families reservation they have much more pressing issues to deal with. Rampant alcoholism, domestic abuse, and racism are rife on the rez. All of these problems mind you can be easily traced to the forced introduction of catholicism.

You have to understand that First Nations do not like to be called pagans because people use it to downgrade their religions and beliefs too often. Indigenous people's are true heirs of the land, are oppressed by the settlers that fear one day their legally take the ownership of the Americas, so the opression and verbal abuse, nowadays even online, around the community is unbelievable insistent.

I will write in Portoghese because my English is bad.

Life in all it's forms is sacred. Sadly we cann't live on sunshine, or eat electricity like Doctor Lizardo: so we must interact with all of life and there are times when we might have to accept the role of food, to help another creature. Can hide and try to deny everything you don't like or relax and join the dance that the world and everything in it engages in. Have only listened to your video for 5 minutes and this comment popped out almost by itself.

Arith, that was a very "down to earth" video, thank you! My sense is that the Western world especially, is in rapid (moral) decline, but that at the same time, there are many people who are awakening. Not only have we, in general, lost a great deal of respect for nature, but we have lost our self respect also. Humans have a large intellect that could put to good use in husbandry, that is, we have the ability to live in harmony with nature, to manage and conserve, to be good caretakers - and good partakers of life. We have a duty to use our faculties for benefit of this planet.

I'm ten minutes in, and I'm very glad I decided to play your video. As a Sincretist I find myself, so far, in complete agreement with what you're saying, which from a purely objective standpoint is pure logic, the very thing that is lacking in the world today.
Ok, there are a few points I don't agree with, first is environmental activism, the first thing that comes to mind when I hear those two words is Greta thumberg, and a sense of great discomfort arises when I think about her, her lost causes, her ill informed statements and the horrible, evil people who manipulate her for political gain. I'm very conscious of the environment, and every action I take I consider what the consequences will be, so I take full responsibility, but that is as far as I'm willing to go, because what environmental activism is, is just politics making bogus claims and creating fake solutions, wind energy is the perfect example, with the wind turbines deturpating the landscapes and killing bird by the thousands, while offering only 3% (or around that number) of our energy needs. Green power plants are another magnificent disaster, they removed coal only to burn trees, deforestating entire islands in the south pacific to fuel them. And what about electric cars? The carbon footprint for their production is enormous, nevermind the pollution generated by the industrial processes needed for their chips, which will never be squared, and the electricity that powers them comes from coal, wood, and gas powered plants, so it's just a beutiful illusion. The same companies accountable for the pollution of the planet, are the same trying to sell us the global warming religion and its schemes, which just like recycled plastics, is only a panacea to keep us happy with the illusion of change, while they keep exploiting resources in different ways. I'm not saying you believe in this stuff, dont get me wrong, I'm saying that environmental activism is a hoax, all we can do is play our part in the day by day, being concious about our choices to the best of our ability and possibility. I also don't agree with veganism, i respect it but I dont agree with it, although knowing very well that karma turns the wheels of existence, I think what we need is ethical animal farming, and on that I'm pretty immovable, as all creatures deserve to live with dignity, but then again, karma is never wrong, so if a creature goes through suffering it is very possible that there is reason for it, and right there is where compassion kicks in, and as humans we have the power to help it regardless of its previous life errors, forgiving its soul and trying to give it a better life.. before it feeds us, closing its personal wheel of Samsara..

love the video. I think, however, modern veganism has a lot of the same issues. it puts humans on a moral pedestal, and separates us from the natural feeding of life on life. it also creates stratification in different forms of life, valuing plant life less than animal life.

    • @davidannen7448
      @davidannen7448 2 ปีที่แล้ว

It also fails to recognize the ultimate fate of agricultural animals, upon global adoption of veganism. All of those animals would end up going extinct.

Hey there's something I'm really curious about, I hope you can answer. We all know the importance of Freyr, Freya and other gods to the Vikings. so would the Vikings name their babies after their gods - for example, would they name their babies Sigyn or would they name their babies Freya? Or was it inappropriate for them?

is Portuguese your first language? is it the language with which you spoke to the snake?

It is Indeed, Portuguese from Portugal was the language I used. It's my native language. I don't use Danish anymore, and all but forgot about it, mostly (and sadly).

Novamente ótimo vídeo e me desculpe caso seja um assunto ja abordado o/

Arith, I understand and I can relate to your desire to create a better world - which we should. I'd also like to comment on your use of the word "patriarchal". As with so many things, patriarchy can be good or bad. Patriarchy can be either oppressive or it can be of great benefit. I feel we need to embrace it all, and not repeat the same old notion of "right and wrong", "them" and "us". I noticed you were becoming increasingly excited during this video, that's fine man, keep up the passion, keep those video's coming!

Hello, I need to share with you...I somehow knew it was a snake that was distracting you before it was verbally conveyed. It gave me the chills to connect to you this way, I just feel the need to let you know about it🧙

You have earlier said that you are in favor of the cult of the dark side, the branch of the New Age-movement that they have chosen to call Rökkatru. I can´t see how that has anything to do with respect or celebrating Life. One thing is accepting the dark side of life and of our own personalities, the realisation that we must work hand in hand with our demons, not denying their existence. But from their to honour them....... I can´t see how you manage to bring this together.
