You are one of the most moving and intelligent speakers I've ever seen and thank the great universe for you 🫂🌈🌌 when people speak about being real teachers this is what they mean, these are the videos our children should be watching 💜
Even though they won't admit it, true native american religion is that of Peganism, Animism, and symbolism. It is the most natural form of religion that comes from within us. It's a beautiful thing that the world needs now more than ever
While this is true, I still avoid saying this. They have lost a lot of their original religion and the wounds are still fresh. We'd be better to allow them to come to this conclusion on their own, and when they do We'll accept them with open arms like we have with many others. Personally me I am German Lakota, from what I've seen of my families reservation they have much more pressing issues to deal with. Rampant alcoholism, domestic abuse, and racism are rife on the rez. All of these problems mind you can be easily traced to the forced introduction of catholicism.
You have to understand that First Nations do not like to be called pagans because people use it to downgrade their religions and beliefs too often. Indigenous people's are true heirs of the land, are oppressed by the settlers that fear one day their legally take the ownership of the Americas, so the opression and verbal abuse, nowadays even online, around the community is unbelievable insistent.
I find we often call it "The way of life", with respect our religious views and languages are not necessarily lost, but more sheltered and amidst reformation and reconciliation like every other pagan

I have raven friends too, I was in a really dark place last year. I was sat in my garden, I made a clicking noise with my toungue and i heard something copy it, when I turned around to see what it was, there was a raven on my neighbours roof. Since then I have seen a group of them where ever I am.

18:20 (...sees death approaching, but finishes conversation first.) 18:45 "Nature -- honor it, blah blah blah -- hold on a sec, folks -- nature is trying to kill me right now." 😆 I ALSO played that part again, to hear you speak to it. The serpent is very important to me somehow and was always a part of my dreams and daily life as a child. I did not watch your video until today, and it has just reminded me that I dreamed of snakes last night. Weird. lolol I haven't had a snake dream in a long while, actually. Oh yeah - very glad you didn't die! ❤
Honestly, this is one of the best definitions for paganism that I've ever heard. The closest thing to it is John Beckett's list of pagan centers, but even then they fall short somehow. Despite all that, yours truly resonated with me. I felt your authenticity, and I'm super happy to have found your channel.

Very good video saying what needs to be said. I hope more people will come to see what paganism is really about. The world would be a better place for sure. Arith, that was a very "down to earth" video, thank you! My sense is that the Western world especially, is in rapid (moral) decline, but that at the same time, there are many people who are awakening. Not only have we, in general, lost a great deal of respect for nature, but we have lost our self respect also. Humans have a large intellect that could put to good use in husbandry, that is, we have the ability to live in harmony with nature, to manage and conserve, to be good caretakers - and good partakers of life. We have a duty to use our faculties for benefit of this planet.

Dear Friends You, The Snake and the near death experience made my day one for the ages. I am off to be of use to the right person in need. He is Burmese and he is not poisonous. Though a world took a bite out his Life. Thank you forever and for everything.
I'm ten minutes in, and I'm very glad I decided to play your video. As a Sincretist I find myself, so far, in complete agreement with what you're saying, which from a purely objective standpoint is pure logic, the very thing that is lacking in the world today. Ok, there are a few points I don't agree with, first is environmental activism, the first thing that comes to mind when I hear those two words is Greta thumberg, and a sense of great discomfort arises when I think about her, her lost causes, her ill informed statements and the horrible, evil people who manipulate her for political gain. I'm very conscious of the environment, and every action I take I consider what the consequences will be, so I take full responsibility, but that is as far as I'm willing to go, because what environmental activism is, is just politics making bogus claims and creating fake solutions, wind energy is the perfect example, with the wind turbines deturpating the landscapes and killing bird by the thousands, while offering only 3% (or around that number) of our energy needs. Green power plants are another magnificent disaster, they removed coal only to burn trees, deforestating entire islands in the south pacific to fuel them. And what about electric cars? The carbon footprint for their production is enormous, nevermind the pollution generated by the industrial processes needed for their chips, which will never be squared, and the electricity that powers them comes from coal, wood, and gas powered plants, so it's just a beutiful illusion. The same companies accountable for the pollution of the planet, are the same trying to sell us the global warming religion and its schemes, which just like recycled plastics, is only a panacea to keep us happy with the illusion of change, while they keep exploiting resources in different ways. I'm not saying you believe in this stuff, dont get me wrong, I'm saying that environmental activism is a hoax, all we can do is play our part in the day by day, being concious about our choices to the best of our ability and possibility. I also don't agree with veganism, i respect it but I dont agree with it, although knowing very well that karma turns the wheels of existence, I think what we need is ethical animal farming, and on that I'm pretty immovable, as all creatures deserve to live with dignity, but then again, karma is never wrong, so if a creature goes through suffering it is very possible that there is reason for it, and right there is where compassion kicks in, and as humans we have the power to help it regardless of its previous life errors, forgiving its soul and trying to give it a better life.. before it feeds us, closing its personal wheel of Samsara..
Great master to speak on behalf of nature.my practice always stand to defend nature.that is a life time work. Indigenous shall be listen and protect to heal humanity to a different world with mother Gaia at our great concern. Obligato
Ah talking to a gone relative eh? I love your videos my dude. You have taught me alot never having met. I am indegenous as well as pagan and I love your views and reasonings. Keep up the amazing work
That was fabulous. I do have to ask, though...what kind of snake was it? I always talk to all sorts of beasties and other forms of life and I thought it was so beautifully appropriate that you had a conversation with it. Thank you, as always, for such an interesting talk. :)
Here we call it "horned viper/adder", I believe it's "Vipera latastei", a poisonous one. Turn on the subtitles my friend, and you will know what I said hehehe :D
love the video. I think, however, modern veganism has a lot of the same issues. it puts humans on a moral pedestal, and separates us from the natural feeding of life on life. it also creates stratification in different forms of life, valuing plant life less than animal life.
It also fails to recognize the ultimate fate of agricultural animals, upon global adoption of veganism. All of those animals would end up going extinct. Corporate agriculture, both plant-based and animal-based, is horrible for everyone. We should focus on fighting that.
Hey there's something I'm really curious about, I hope you can answer. We all know the importance of Freyr, Freya and other gods to the Vikings. so would the Vikings name their babies after their gods - for example, would they name their babies Sigyn or would they name their babies Freya? Or was it inappropriate for them?
It is Indeed, Portuguese from Portugal was the language I used. It's my native language. I don't use Danish anymore, and all but forgot about it, mostly (and sadly).
@@ArithHärger oh thank you for responding! I am just about to sit down for some toast and gjetost and watch another one of your videos, which I'm now watching daily during this time when the pull of my Norwegian-Swedish ancestors is strong!

Arith, I understand and I can relate to your desire to create a better world - which we should. I'd also like to comment on your use of the word "patriarchal". As with so many things, patriarchy can be good or bad. Patriarchy can be either oppressive or it can be of great benefit. I feel we need to embrace it all, and not repeat the same old notion of "right and wrong", "them" and "us". I noticed you were becoming increasingly excited during this video, that's fine man, keep up the passion, keep those video's coming!
Hello, I need to share with you...I somehow knew it was a snake that was distracting you before it was verbally conveyed. It gave me the chills to connect to you this way, I just feel the need to let you know about it🧙
Very nice! This will definitely be one I listen to again. As others have commented, I like how you handled the snake. I know how you feel about them. You have talked about it before and I think you have a tattoo of a snake. :-)
You have earlier said that you are in favor of the cult of the dark side, the branch of the New Age-movement that they have chosen to call Rökkatru. I can´t see how that has anything to do with respect or celebrating Life. One thing is accepting the dark side of life and of our own personalities, the realisation that we must work hand in hand with our demons, not denying their existence. But from their to honour them....... I can´t see how you manage to bring this together.
You handled that snake situation in a most excellent way...I must admit that I had to rewind the video in order to hear you speak again to it...your language is very nice sounding...I didn't know you were vegan but it def makes perfect sense...you have a very kind and gentle spirit...thank you for taking time out from all you do to provide these educational videos that are compassionate and passionate and filled knowledge and understanding...one can tell you love what you do...it shows...

Keep up the amazing work
" I might have died... nature is beautiful"
Lol
Yay spring, and jasmine tea. And interesting stuff.
Hi! I can't remember where I heard you say we can help for subtitles in our language, but I can help for French (Qc) if needed. 🙂
That was fabulous. I do have to ask, though...what kind of snake was it? I always talk to all sorts of beasties and other forms of life and I thought it was so beautifully appropriate that you had a conversation with it. Thank you, as always, for such an interesting talk. :)
Cernunnos was with you there! What kind of snake was it and if you don’t mind what did you say it was amazing!
Here we call it "horned viper/adder", I believe it's "Vipera latastei", a poisonous one. Turn on the subtitles my friend, and you will know what I said hehehe :D
@@ArithHärger lol that was funny! 🤣 I looked the snake up and it’s very beautiful!!
Grazie, bellissimo video 👏👏👏👏
Che bello non essere l'unico italiano qui :D
@@non_so_che_cazzo_dire9768 so per certo che non siamo pochi
@@catiabonifazi52 Ah, non ci avevo mai fatto caso guardandolo
Ty for this explaination
love the video.
Hi do you have any videos on Anubis .🙏
God's were blessing you

Que bonitinho falando português com a serpente 🤩
Hey there's something I'm really curious about, I hope you can answer. We all know the importance of Freyr, Freya and other gods to the Vikings. so would the Vikings name their babies after their gods - for example, would they name their babies Sigyn or would they name their babies Freya? Or was it inappropriate for them?
is Portuguese your first language? is it the language with which you spoke to the snake?
It is Indeed, Portuguese from Portugal was the language I used. It's my native language. I don't use Danish anymore, and all but forgot about it, mostly (and sadly).
@@ArithHärger oh thank you for responding! I am just about to sit down for some toast and gjetost and watch another one of your videos, which I'm now watching daily during this time when the pull of my Norwegian-Swedish ancestors is strong!
Quite an endorsement when an ambassador of the other world drops in for the production.
Best always be wary hehe :D
Novamente ótimo vídeo e me desculpe caso seja um assunto ja abordado o/
Arith, I understand and I can relate to your desire to create a better world - which we should. I'd also like to comment on your use of the word "patriarchal". As with so many things, patriarchy can be good or bad. Patriarchy can be either oppressive or it can be of great benefit. I feel we need to embrace it all, and not repeat the same old notion of "right and wrong", "them" and "us". I noticed you were becoming increasingly excited during this video, that's fine man, keep up the passion, keep those video's coming!
Buddhism fits in with your views too Arith.
Here in Arkansas, US, it is illegal to kill any snake. I try never to kill any being unnecessarily.
Beautiful
Who else here is pagan? And which gods/goddesses?
Loki, Freya, Anu & Manannan mac Lir

How can u be a true pagan without sacrifices?
It's called growing up and evolving. Everything evolves, even the human mind, and if we can't keep up with evolution we are forgotten and perish.
@@ArithHärger its called liberalism.
Adorei você falando português com a cobra HAHAHAHA
You have earlier said that you are in favor of the cult of the dark side, the branch of the New Age-movement that they have chosen to call Rökkatru. I can´t see how that has anything to do with respect or celebrating Life. One thing is accepting the dark side of life and of our own personalities, the realisation that we must work hand in hand with our demons, not denying their existence. But from their to honour them....... I can´t see how you manage to bring this together.
