Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, studies, time and effort to help those who watch to understand the things of God more clearly. I especially appreciate the extra insight you add - from church leaders, the Institute Manual, the Seminary manual, etc. It adds to our learning, and broadens out the subject. I always learn something new from your program, and feel motivated to study more for myself. And I am spiritually uplifted. With appreciation, ET
I enjoy your sense of humor, I can imagine your smiling faces as you share your understanding of the gospel and love the background of the people that gives us better understanding of them.
Thank you very much for all your time. Technology has brought the gift to all of us who listen to you. I remember you in my prayers and thank Heavenly Father for you two wonderful men.
Thank you so much for these lessons. They are so wonderful. I love that you let us follow along with the quotes. It makes it easy for me to take a screen shot and print it and paste it into my scriptures. I like to listen to different people do the Come Follow Me podcasts, but with yours, I sit with my scriptures opened and take lots of notes. And many times print out all the quotes after taking a screen shot of them. Thanks for all you do!!!!
My daughter recommended your program to me last summer. I appreciated your messages immediately. My husband of 43 years had just been baptized the summer before. Your lessons added so much to our study, especially after there were no more Sunday School classes. You have been such a blessing this year as we’re studying D&C. I had never been comfortable with the D&C, but this year’s study has changed all that. Your clarity, insights, information and testimonies have made a huge difference to our appreciation of what we’re studying. Thank you both.
I was hoping to hear something about the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost as outlined in D&C 33:10-15. This is clearly one of the basic doctrines of the church that was taught by the early brethren and in my experience it is something that most current latter day saints know very little about it. It would be good if this basic principle about the TWO baptisms was better understood. Joseph taught it plainly and the D&C also clearly teaches it (here in D&C 33, and in other place); I think many members would be more likely to keep covenants and stay active if they understood this doctrine better.
Jim , I agree. The church teachers the basic gospel. In order to go higher. We have to feast upon the words of Christ and study the mysteries of God. Book of Mormon 1st verse. Nephi, said he was highly favored of the Lord. You do not receive that status by being casual member of the church. Their isn’t going to be any accidental people in the celestial kingdom.
Thank you so much for your brother to brother conversations. ( Although I know it is not so - I picture you sitting together at a table, surrounded by your books ) .... and feel so privileged to be allowed to join you and learn so much from you both.
Your quote from Dallin Oaks got me thinking. So why are we following the "trends" of the world as a church? (the CDC, WHO, NiH the UN etc..) Do we fear man more than our God? Have we put our faith in the arm of flesh by trusting man and these institutions more than God. I think we have. And, have we been judgmental of those who have not been in compliance with these man made "guidelines" and practices? I wonder, have church leaders repeated the 116 pages ordeal in our day?
D&C 35: awesome lesson. I learned so much. One thing section 35:13 thrash is not thresh. They have different meanings. Love your lessons. Thank you!!!!!❤️
This was a powerful lesson this week. So many applicable messages. Thank you 😊 🙏
