Wondeful and enlightening as always. Big thanks of gratitude to you brethren. We all know you do this because you love the savior and his gospel. It shows in each weekly video you put together. We get to be the blessed recipients of your passion for the gospel!
I hope these continue through Old and New Testament! I dont like and comment each time but I'm still listening and learning! I suspect so many others are as well. I usually listen at least twice each week and sometimes more. Love these.
Thanks, Leslie! Worry not. Jay and I are already preparing material for the Old Testament. There's at least another two years of Scripture Gems planned.
Brother Fullmer you are amazing. I loved the institute class I had with you in WI, for my Pathway course. Hope you're doing well. You and your brother do a great job on these videos.
we listen to you every week as part of our Come Follow Me study & really appreciate your comments & insights. Thanks for pointing new things out on the Gospel library that we might not have noticed & for the pertinent quotes from Prophets & Apostles. From Billingham England
I just thought of a metaphor for "signs". It is like someone sharing all the answers for a test, and therefore you pass. However, if you haven't learned the material, you don't know what is needed to move forward in your schooling.
There is an interesting article on D&C Central stating that Rider’s reasons for apostatizing were more complicated than a misspelling of his name. Documents in his own handwriting show he himself was not consistent in how his name was to be spelled. Food for thought.
Thanks for your words about how we use the name of the Savior. I have a good friend, but she wasn't raised LDS, and her language is horribly offensive. Usually when people are around me for any length of time, they realize I don't speak that way and temper their speech. However, this friend uses vulgar and demeaning language about the Lord and other things, all the time in front of me. I don't know how to ask her to stop. I don't want to offend her or cause her to curse worse. What suggestions do you have for me to ask her to not used the name of my Savior, Jesus Christ in vain in my presence? Or does it matter?
James e Talmage gave an interesting take on taking the name of the Lord in Vain he gave 4 different ways we do this 1. in vain profane speech 2. when we swear falsely not being true to our oaths and promises 3. in a blasphemous sense when we presume to speak in that name without authority 4. whenever we willfully do aught that is in defiance of hsi commandments since we have taken his name upon ourselves
I have a question. Whenever we discuss the parable of the ten virgins, we always say that all ten virgins are members of the Church because they are all waiting for the coming of the bridegroom. All of my Christian friends, most of whom are not members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, are looking for the coming of the bridegroom, the Second Coming of Christ. What church are we talking about when we say that virgins are members of the Church?
I think that's the best answer - all those who are waiting for the Bridegroom (the second coming of Christ). Christ describes who are "His Church" in Doctrine and Covenants 10:53-56-69. Hope that helps.

If she’s a good friend, she’ll understand Fam.

Thank you Jon for telling us of your name. Without it I would have continued to think your name was John. Now, is Jay short for James (FullMer) ? ❤🐨
Yes, indeed. Jay is short for James. And way to honor the M!
That's a rather splendid explanation re lust from Elder Jeffrey R. Holland. Also the pornography quote.
