@@glenshaver9013 I'm still not very clear what you mean, but I'll give it a shot, anyway. "Rule of law" is a concept of either laws governing a group (freedoms are surrendered for violation of agreed upon law) OR laws defining an outcome (i.e., the law of gravity). I would submit that the Law of Consecration is a little bit of both. One cannot enjoy the fruits or results of the law without obedience to it, just as we learned as children that we can't clump mud together into an oval, call it a "pie", and claim it to be something anyone could eat. ;-) Does that help?
That would be the Doctrine & Covenants Student Institute Manual. It's the new one that came out in 2017. Every now and then we'll quote from the older Institute Manual that came out in 2001, but we're always clear to specify that when we do. Most of the time it's from the new manual.
