Van Morrison grew up dead-broke poor in Belfast, N Ireland when it was full of poverty & violence. Natural musician. When he was 16 or so he went to the biggest band in Belfast and said “I’m your new guitar player.” The bandleader said “We don’t need a guitar player. We need a saxophone player.” Three weeks later he came back, said “I’m your new saxophone player.”, and got the job.
My son was shot 3 times in the chest ,was told he probably wouldn't live.he did. 7 weeks in hospital, 4 weeks in a coma.when we left the hospital we just sat in the car and looked at each other and I asked what would you like to do first and he said I'd like for you to play van Morrison. I knew at that moment that he gets life.
You have no idea the pure joy and hope I feel watching Van Morrison embed himself into the next generation's soul. He won't live forever, and has deserved so much more recognition than he has gotten during his fantastically brilliant career. Enjoy him, Forever.

Love Van Morrison, and this song!! Haven't heard it in years. I was always curious about tupelo honey, it's not something we see in the northeast US. I finally found some in Philadelphia several years ago. It was a darker, more robust honey, and it was delicious!
Van Morrison has so much incredible work.... The love songs are nice, but some of his music is so deep its mind bending.....Music that can put you in different world.
