The lyric was “ Once upon a time, when you were mine”. The sequel to this song is I Know Your Out There Somewhere. Both songs were inspired by a real person, who he has left nameless. Love the Moody Blues❤️❤️❤️

"Question", "I'm Just a Singer in a Rock And Roll Band", "The Voice", "Sitting at the Wheel".....if you go deeper into the Moody's - a group a lot of people who came of age around 1967-1970 love.

The Moody Blues were like a more mature Beatles, and have always been underrated.
I know their first seven albums very well, all the words, music, etc., and can recommend all of that.
They were like Yes in that you knew you could count on them to bring you back to a healthy state of mind.
And like Yes, and Genesis, and many of the progressive bands...some of their music is deeply spiritual.

I grew up listening to this group & they are one of my favorites from the 60's - 80's. They have had so many hit songs. Love their mix of rock with classical music. They have a sound like no other band. The Moody Blues' most successful singles include "Go Now", "Nights in White Satin", "Tuesday Afternoon", "Question", "Gemini Dream", "The Voice" & "Your Wildest Dreams". But all of their music is great.

This is really about the singer reminiscing on his first love and just wondering if she ever thinks about him. They eventually grew apart, but he has never forgotten her. The lyrics are "Once upon a time, once when you were mine." Now, you should listen to "I know your out there somewhere " The video is a continuation of the video of "Wildest Dreams". So happy to see you doing more Moody Blues.

He becomes a big star and the band comes to put on a concert in the town where they got their start. He sings to their memory.

As, what is called a Starseed, I feel a deep longing and homesick feeling for those I miss, while living here on Earth.
For me, I deeply feel this , and it makes me miss my star family deep in my soul.
This group is other worldly, because they incarnated here, from elsewhere.

I'd second the motion for "Question"
    "Ride My Seesaw"

"I'm Just A Singer (In the A Rock and Roll Band)"
    "Dr. Livingstone, I presume"**
    "Never Comes the Day"
    "Beginning"
    "Lovely To See You Again"
"The Dream"/"Have You Heard? (Part 1)"/"The Voyage"/"Have You Heard (Part 2)"
""Lord Stanley's expedition to find the long missing Dr. David Livingstone was successful. However, the in line "Doctor Livingstone, I presume" almost certainly never happened.

They wrote their own music and lyrics. Justin Haywood, lead guitar and lead singer, wrote most of their songs. a very underrated singer/songwriter. All of their music incorporated an orchestral background. They are sometimes referred to as "the thinking mans band" because the lyrics provoke deep thoughts, and have multiple meanings depending on individual interpretations. They have an mid 60's beginnings, so they have been around a long time, contrary to an editor of Rolling Stone Magazine whom said that a rock band with an orchestra won't last long. They were so wrong. This group will be a deep rabbit hole for anyone whom wants to pursue their music. The Voice and Nights in White Satin are probably their most prolific songs, along with I know you're out there somewhere (mid 80's release).
