This game looks so fun! Combine that with the beautiful paint jobs and table and you've got a recipe for success! Glad I followed last week! Keep up the great content
Thanks so much man! And this game is crazy fun, and you don't have to have the elaborate set ups and models. It can 100% be played with paper stand up models and paper craft terrain.
If I recall properly, animals cannot interact with clue tokens. Nice table setup. In the monster phase, did you have your monster have 2 actions when they were not in combat. In turn 4, you had your last zombie move six inches when it should have moved 9. Funny because the zombie to the North did use its two actions to move.
@@VingloLeClerc no worries bud. same, I am fairly new to this one and solo wargaming in general. I absolutely LOVE IT, but it is tough sometimes without an opponent that also know the rules to help call things out. But I'm learning quick, and eventually might get it all right lol.
I'm brushing up on my RoSD in prep for some play. I could be wrong, but thought animals can *reveal clues, but are unable to manipulate things, so couldn't take the sword or herbs. I could be wrong...
@@mattj1871 According to the Companions section on page 37 of the RoSD Deluxe Edition rulebook: Animal companions (those that have ‘animal’ listed in their notes) cannot carry items. Nor can they normally carry treasure tokens, interact with other types of token, or carry out special scenario actions (such as lighting a tree on fire), unless specifically allowed by the scenario. It's the "interact with other types of token" here that is important. Unless the rule has changed in the latest version.
At the end of the missing one your companions rolled on the injury table And got Badly wounded. you ask If he healed up And the answer is no he still has -5 to his health in the next scenario still. And also I realise In the range phase you was Activating your Companions cross the board you only can activate your companion if your companions are in 3" of your ranger. Or did you took to Skill that you are able to do that 🤔
Thanks for the tip on the Badly wounded, I ended up turning up the same conclusion. As to the 3" that only applies if you are doing the "Group Activation" which is a special action during the ranger phase. It's a way of getting extra models to activate beyond the two that you can always activate in the ranger phase. Or at least that is my understanding, because at the end of the paragraph on group activation is says "you can then activate any other companions you would be allowed to activate in the phase."
@@worldofwargaming From Page 32 "The Ranger Phase": "...activate his ranger and his choice of up to two companions who begin the phase within 3" of the ranger." Here, each figure is activated and all actions taken, then the next figure does the same. A group activation replaces the normal activation: "...may activate the ranger and up to two companions within 3". "If using a group activation, the activation must include the ranger and all figures that are going to activate in that phase." So again, it's the ranger and up to 2 others within 3" at the start of the phase, but the order of actions is different. Here, all figures involved take a move action then all figures take a second action. The primary reason to do this is to swarm an enemy and get multiple attacker bonuses for all the activated figures. Note that this is a standard rule from Joe McCullough's other games (though the number of non-lead figures activated does vary by game). It's never been especially clearly written, but he has clarified that in several posts on the Lead Adventure forum.
@@dougsundseth6904 the 3" to activate is a rule from the original version that was removed with the deluxe edition and later updates. Group activation is spot on.
@@worldofwargaming Aha! I have a printed version of the original rules, so I didn't know about the change in later editions. Thanks for letting me know. Not completely sure I like the change, but not sure I dislike it either. I'll have to give it a try with the new rule.
@@dougsundseth6904 absolutely man, Its one that threw me really hard until I dug in and figured out what was going on. My thinking is that it was removed because unlike the Grave games, Rangers doesn't have any PvP mode, but I can't say that's actually the case. Either way thanks for helping me keep rules straight, I appreciate that!

Loved how you played that game
Thanks! I love that you stopped by to check it out

They cannot, if I did it was a booboo. I did zombies only move 4", so their double move is 6"
@@worldofwargaming Oh. my bad for not noticing their move stat. I still have to go through the games even if I have had the game for more than a year.
