- Hello and greetings from Hakuba, a small town and world-famous ski resort set in the northern Japanese Alps! This was the final stop of our trip across Japan and we decided to end things off in a quiet destination. In this video, we’ll ride various gondolas and chair lifts as we go in search of mountain views, we’ll encounter some of the local residents - the snow monkeys - who roam around town, and we’ll show you how athletes train for the Olympics at the local ski jump! If you’ve been following our Japan series, thank you for watching, and now let’s go on one final adventure in Hakuba.

fantastic series ... really shows the beauty of Japan
Loved this Japan series
Now you need to start South in Okinawa and move north! This was a great series, one of your best.
Que grande Samuel con la camiseta de Argentina ❤
Can I just say that I love the fact you're going off the beaten path and going to places tourists normally wouldn't go?
Thank you for introducing Japan in a deep and realistic way once again. As I always say, Japan has endless things to enjoy in every season.
Furthermore, Japan is a country whose land area is equivalent to the length from Canada to Mexico in North America, and from the Baltic Sea to Gibraltar in Europe.
From the desolate northern and eastern ends of Hokkaido to subtropical Okinawa and Ogasawara, from tropical monsoons to over 2 meters of snow, we have everything waiting for your visit to Japan.
We Japan look forward to seeing you again.
What a fantastic series thank you! Hope you both go back to Japan again 😊
Thanks guys. I can't wait to see your next Japan visit.
Hermosas tomas. Hermoso
Absolutely amazing videos, I greatly enjoyed watching your trip to Japan, thank you so much for sharing!
Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Wonderful scenery and places. Continued success on the onward journey ❤
Hello to you both-
I so enjoyed this with the beautiful mountainside.
Thanks for sharing your adventures
Thank you for nice videos. I enjoyed so much!
Great Japan series. Looking forward to your next trip.
Thank you, Kimberley! We've gotta start planning the next adventure.
Sounds to me like an e-bike or, even better, an ultralight foldable would be useful for moving around an area like that, yes.
As an (incurable) Japanophile I quite enjoyed this series, thank you Audrey and Sam 🙏
Enjoyed the slightly different approach and philosophy to travelling from the standard fare. It also helps of course that I can see you loving the kind of things I would also love.
Hoping you can visit 日本 again in the not-too-distant future, gracias chicos 🏯🚄🍣
It’s been so good 😊 thank you 🙏🏼 again I will miss this adventure you have done such a great job entertaining us all these months
I cannot wait for my time to go visit Japan 🇯🇵 Hopefully soon 🤞🏼
Take care Happy Easter

G’day guys, can’t thank you enough for this informative, fascinating journey through Japan. Yes, would imagine you’ll really miss the onsens, wonderful food, not mention spectacular scenery …and so many gracious people along the way, well done👌🏻
It was awesome to see Japan from your lens!
Thank you, Divya! Glad you enjoyed the Japan series.
Havent watched all your vids, but have followed you for years! Your content is amazing! Love the food wherever you are xx
Felicidades, disfrutan y nos comparten, buen plan, muchas gracias. Saludos desde Bucaramanga, Colombia.
I have loved your series in Japan! I have only visited the country once, and didn't have the opportunity to travel like you guys did. I think one of my favorite videos was the one on the toilets! Your choice of music was spot on and everything you showcased was fun and informative. Next time, take me with you! 😂
Thank you so much! We're glad you enjoyed the Japan series. The toilet video was a lot of fun to make. 😊
I have really enjoyed your Japan series. I always thought that Japan was a place I wouldn't want to go because I am not a big seafood fan but all of the food you guys ate looked delicious! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!
Mariachi music with ski-jumping. Mess with my mind.
I just had to add some pizzazz! 😅
Oh wow, I've never been to Hakuba before but it's beautiful! Now that I'm living in Shizuoka with my husband, I will suggest that we go someday :D Thanks for the inspo!
Great way to end the series on Japan. Amazing mountain views and another winner of a video. Can't wait to see what you guys will be up to next.
The landscape is not what I think of in Japan. Looks amazing.
Last clip from Japan?😢Good things have to end some day too I guess. Really enjoyed your tour through Japan. Come back again soon!
I enjoyed this Japan travel. Thanks for the videos !!!
This was the first season I followed along with you guys. The content is great! I think I visited everyplace you visited except Niigata but I have accomplished this over several decades of visiting Japan. That's a lot of content to travel around with. What sort of storage do you use and do you have a backup solution?
Another great series. Thank you so much!
Thank you, Karen! We're glad you enjoyed the Japan series.
It's a stunning trip across Japan! I am so happy and impressed! I feel like I am there. 😊
また、日本に来てくれてありがとう
what a great Japan series!! I doubt I will ever visit Japan for various reasons but with this series, I felt like I was right there with you! Thank you both for sharing!!
You were lucky to have beautiful sights at Happo, its notorious for bad weather ;) I did the pond tour, in complete clouds. It was a nice hike though :-D. By the way, going up to the ski jump platform is not a problem, the way back down the stairs (see-through, 50m down) is genuinely scary.
I really hope you guys to come back to Japan again! I love your Japan Series!
I strongly recommend to visit the Okinawa prefecture.
You will love the Yaeyama Islands, especially the most nature preserved island ,
"Iriomote Island" .
Thanks for the recommendation! We've had our eye on Okinawa for a while - that's where we want to travel next time we visit Japan. 😊
Hakuba , What a gem ! Harriet have it on our list to visit. This Japan series was outstanding. Six weeks of pure pleasure watching it. A question : If you had more time in Japan , where do you think you would go next ? Sam , I am with you , once you've had a taste of a onsen, you could never go back to a bathtub and rubber duckies. Sending you much love❤ from
Harriet, Jim and Yuki
Awesome video? Can I ask what month/dates was the trip? Trying to plan for autumn foliage as well!
We got peak autumn foliage in mid-October on the Alpine Route and late October in Hakuba.
@@samuelandaudrey awesome! I really appreciate it!!
Hola Audrey y Samuel.
Ya vi el video del ferry, ahora a ver Hakuba.
Saludos desde Córdoba Edgardo 🍷.
👍
雪の無い白馬は初めて見ました!紅葉が美しかったですね。わんだふる!
Which time of the year were you here? Looks amazing!
We visited Hakuba in October - peak autumn colours!
No otra vez sopa recalentada
You should visit Philadelphia and rate all the cheessteaks. We all prefer Gino's, but maybe you international tastes may differ.
what date did you guys go?
We visited in mid to late October.
Hello from eastern Europe, Türkiye, 🇹🇷⭐🇹🇷
Buy a house in Japan in the country. Inexpensive and then as you travel make it into an ABNB.
Those monkeys who think they own the place will have competition if the cats move in
no esta subtitulado al español👎👎👎👎👎
Samuel, aren't you ashamed to have more beautiful hair than Audrey's? A girl should be prettier. 😂😘
