    I truly appreciate these videos. It's difficult being new knowing what products I need or am interested in. These videos are so helpful and more informative than just seeing someone do a project with them as their focus isn't necessarily to showcase that products functionality.

    One small thing I noticed at the start of the of the video.
    You reference glaze to giving a faux finish and then say whereas the glaze gives it more color.
    Based on where you were pointing it seemed like the more color was connected to the wax, not the glaze.
    Good info and example of the finishes

    I have a kitchen table that I want to refinish. I like the look of the glaze I think…. Can I use that on the table top? I saw someone used cashmere paint and then cappuccino SFO… I think it looked good from what I could tell… I don’t want wood grain to show through because it is oak and I messed it up by sanding it too fine - so it won’t take stain well. So I need to paint but would like some sort of finish on it as well.

      You can use Glaze on a table top, but for larger surfaces we would recommend using a top coat to protect it. Our new top coat would work well for this. fusionmineralpaint.com/introducing-ultra-guard-waterbased-polyurethane/

    Thank you for offering tutorials. Always very informative ❤️I have a French Baroque 50 year old bedroom set that I am still using. It was originally white and gold. However over the years the white has yellowed . I really don’t want to paint the set ,( lots of pcs. ) Is there a glaze or a wax that I could use to tone down the yellow? I do want to preserve the gold on the pcs. Thanking you in advance for your attention to my request !

      @@FusionMineralPaints thank you; if we have our furniture painted with any other paint (from Sherwin-Williams, for example), will your glaze work on it? And, to achieve the color of the glaze that we want, does it have to be mixed with Fusion mineral paint, or can any other water-bases paint be used to tint the glaze the color that we need? Thank you!

    Did you have to use a poly between chalk paint and wax or glaze?

    • @FusionMineralPaints
      @FusionMineralPaints  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should use something yes because chalk paint is so porous it soaks up all the pigment.

    My cabinets are 25 years old and in great shape. But, the original white glaze that was on them is gone except in the grooves. If I want to reglaze the flat areas, do I have to prep the surfaces and how? Thanks.

    • @FusionMineralPaints
      @FusionMineralPaints  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most likely you won't need to do anything, other than a quick clean with our TSP alternative, you just want to make sure there's no grease or grime or wax on there, then go ahead and glaze :)

    • @MrCabimero
      @MrCabimero 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FusionMineralPaints Thanks for the prompt reply. I am guessing that the cabinets have a clear varnish or poly over them, so still no problem?

    • @FusionMineralPaints
      @FusionMineralPaints  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrCabimero it shouldn't be a problem for the glaze, as long as the surface is clear. You could however try out HTTPS://FUSIONMINERALPAINT.COM/PRODUCTS/FINISH/STAIN-FINISHING-OIL/ as a glaze hack- this will adhere to old oil and more, and is really easy to use and super durable afterwards. Suggestion to make your life easier when trying to get a subtle wax just mix the dark wax with the clear wax ahead of time and it’ll give you a pale grey wax finish.
