You two do such chilled and well polished content and it has such a different feel to other bike related youtubers that I watch.keep up the great work guys ,really enjoyable.
Dude, I've had a brand new Royal Enfield with 150 miles on the clock sitting in the shed for a year and a half. Some weird TH-cam algorithm threw your Vlogs into my life and I'm getting my biker mojo back. Thanks for reconnecting me to an old passion.
As long as I´m around, I hope so. Really miss riding the English country roads, especially on Summer nights when its light till around 10 pm and not much traffic. Hopefully I´ll be doing just that again next year. The Summer this year has been a write off so at least that´s some compensation for being away :-)
I believe Henry Cole once commented that the best bike to ride is the one you are on, very true as it doesn’t matter as long as you have a smile on. Ipswich council have absolutely ruined the town, the centre is like an old ghetto don’t bother to visit as there are many more towns that show the best of Suffolk. The road from Ipswich to The Hospital school super ride, but then any B roads in Suffolk are a joy to ride. Great video by Monika, you two are the dream team, nice to see her back on the pillion.
Hi , yet again so laid back and out for the day enjoying the trip , taking us along . Freddie in his gear and one smile or wave from Monika , were like lemmings , do not get to close to any cliffs , as were all going over ,as in Quadrophenia , expecting her smile when the ground looms up . Magic presentation and video work , thank you . Should any one like laid back rides , have a look at Saddle bags 73 on the tube and between both as Richard said , there will always be an England , just make time for it , even when the sun does not shine as long as you enjoy your bike .
Wonderful clip. Thanks again for showing us the UK; looking forward to more. Great point on the happiness any bike can give you. Doesn't have to be the $30,000, 200 hp Italian, or equally expensive 1,000 pound American. You are amazingly young to realize that; took me more years t figure that out.
Well done young mr Dobbs you said a great truth about motor bikes its not wot you spend that matters i have an old 1500 goldwing and a new k1600 bmw 6 i love them both but the old goldwing has my hart its were of on holiday happy vibe ! Great vide as allways great camra work monica nailed it
I'm south east London too. Oxford Monster Lock x 2 attaching the bike to a ground anchor and bike covered by a black cover. I'm sure it is possible to steal the bike but it'd mean openly angle grinding the lock and anchor for probably half an hour on full display and under cctv. So far, so good!
I attended the "Royal Hospital School", joining in 1966 - Omg, it was so spooky to hear the chimes from the clock tower once again. Love all of your posts Freddie and your test of the RE 350 Meteor helped convince me to buy one. Great commentary and excellent camera work from Monica as usual. Be well and keep up the good work.
Hello Freddy, In the early 1980's I owned and rode Meriden built Triumph's, a TR7RV 'Tiger' 750, a T140E 'Bonneville' 750, a T160V 'Trident' with Norman Hyde 850 big bore kit and a TSX 750. But the machine that I owned which gave me the most thrilling rides was a 1980 Laverda 1200 'Mirage', it was a beast to ride, very tall and top heavy, it had heavy clutch and throttle action which regularly snapped cables. It only gave 27 to 30 mpg, but I forgave it for it's negative points because of it's acceleration, wild handling and the 180 degree cranks bellow from the straight through 'Jota' pipes gave me such a thrill, it was orgasmic.
@@FreddieDobbs Hello again Freddie, thank you for your reply. Laverda were a small family owned concern in the Italian Dolomite mountains, their main line of business was manufacturing combine harvesters, their motorcycle production was essentially a side line. The farming equipment division was run by Piero Laverda and the motorcycle division was run by his brother Massimo. In the mid 1970's Laverda's UK importers Slater Brothers Ltd took a stock 981cc Laverda 3C model, they added high lift cams, high compression pistons and an unrestricted exhaust system, the end result was the legendary Laverda 1000 'Jota', a rip snorting beast of a bike capable producing 90 hp @ 7500 rpm with a top speed of 146 mph in standard trim. The 'Jota' was the fastest production motorcycle that you could buy in 1976. The 1200 version had softer profile cams and was sold as Laverda's touring model, it was marketed in the USA as the 'Jota America'. Laverda's were never built in huge numbers and their new price was always high to reflect their exclusivity. Today Laverda Jota's are fetching between £15k and £20k.
Travelled those roads many a time by car, motorcycle and pushbike. Husband and two sons went to the Royal Hospital School so great to see it again. Video content is great, love its relaxed feel. So jealous of your bike too!
Always enjoy your uploads! Only discovered your channel a few weeks ago and its already my fave Motorcycle channel. I like the way you include some much of the motorcycling lifestyle, (not just endless onboard footage of the road ahead). So much fantastic scenery/destinations in the UK! Enjoying watching from Australia. (P.S Also a huge fan of the old British phone box!)
Your Bonneville is looking great in the English countryside. I'll be off to the canals at Aylesford on my scooter when the sun comes out. Like you said, enjoyable on any bike.
Nice one Fredster. I’m going up to the Krazy Horse bike meet this Thursday in Bury St Edmonds, Suffolk. First one since lockdown was lifted . You should travel up, it would make a great vlog.
Thank you, I did enjoy the video. Best deterrent for bike theft is to hang draw and quarter a thief in your locality. Or after the locks a small black padlock on the drive chain locks the bike when they are trying to push it away and they cant work out why., word of caution remember to lake it off before using the bike!

Videos like this make me genuinely miss the England I grew up in. You are making me want a Triumph as well, that is for sure. I love my Royal Enfield Himalayan but there is something undeniably cooler about those Triumphs...!
Anther great video Freddie, and in my town of ipswich,!!.try the butt and oyster at pin mill they do some great food, and btw I have a 2018 1200 speedmaster It’s just had its first mot, I mention it as I watched your review of it the other day it’s a great bike which I shall keep for good, keep making videos I always enjoy them and ride safe both of you.🏍🏍🏍
Thanks very much Paul, I've just saved this pub! From Ipswich and with a Speedmaster- fantastic! What a great bike for the beautiful roads around Ipswich and the Orwell!
Stumbled upon your channel and I have to say I really enjoy your vids. you are doing a great job and deserve more success. Please keep it up and thank you.
Brilliant! So glad I came across this video..I'm currently on holiday in wales doing exactly the same with the wife and my Honda cb1100rs....I've been looking at a 2nd bike. triumph Bonneville SE, or Newchurch ..and this came up 👍 Excellent video
@@FreddieDobbs You and Monica have such a great talent in creating these beautiful videos, put me on the list if you are thinking of creating calendar's DVD's etc
Cycling in south east London is fine. I live in east Dulwich and it’s lovely around here. I’m a biker myself, though the Ducati 797 got written off in June (van pulled out in front of me-didn’t see me) and still waiting for the insurance and personal injury claim to come through. Hopefully not too long now and I can get a new bike. Been watching your videos the last couple of days and really enjoying them! Good luck in Tenerife 😊.
you have done it again .. great place that i am sure many of us did not no existed.. your bike seems to be over ten years old ;;; when watching these vids we are looking at the newest and best [inc speedmaster ] and i am too scared to go outside my gate unless i have the ultimate new product with the latest upgrades which far outdo the previous model,;, but a wake up call from you and other vlogers [?] = just ride the thing , each bike does have its own character ;;
Great video...as always! Re the lock...try to always keep the padlock off the ground, makes it harder to attack. If the chain is long enough, wrap it round the rear wheel and just behind the shocks or over the seat.
Excellent video again guys thanks! Good choice of camera too. Fuji X-pro (1 or 2, couldn't make it out). Is that the 18mm f/2 pancake lens? I've an X-T2 which cost me quite a lot of money and a second hand X-E1 which was a bargain. Best straight out of camera jpegs with Fuji. No post processing faffing (unless you want to). 👍👍
Wow.....where does one begin, from the beautiful intro to all the rides and stops, absolutely stunning video and thanks for the info on the clothing & accessories, great choice. I'll be watching this again and keeping it for those cold winter nights longing for spring.
You guys should check out Aldeburgh and Southwold whilst in Suffolk. Also Pin Mill just over the water from Ipswich is nice. Great clip. Defo going to check out Loch&Quay.
My bike security consists of me forgetting the key in the ignition for a week, parked outside by a public road, and it still being there when I return. :P I use no locks when out and about, might use the steering lock in some areas, but that's it. Got a ground anchor and a chain at home, but most people think I am paranoid and use nothing like that themselves. Not a lot of bike theft around here in other words.
That sounds like a dream location where you live! Ipswich is waaaaaaay better than SE London, but maybe I've just become untrusting since living in SE London!😆
I'm surprised you've been able to move the bike to all these wonderful places considering how absolutely stunned you say you are all the time! 😉 Joking aside I really enjoy your videos and presentation style, very inspiring, and i'm always looking forward to the next one!
Another great laid back video. You do pick appropriate music background to enhance the laid back feel…. nice. Not a area of England I’ve been to yet, so enjoyed the trip. BUT - Ipswich, either the designers or planners or both, need sacking for such a basic blunder🤨
Fantastic video you pair!! Dont forget to check out Shotley gate/marina, you can also do a foot ferry over to Harwich. Great bit of history around there also used to be a navel training school, HMS Ganges. Great views of Felixstowe docks! On your way back stop in Chelmodiston and go down to pin mill, nice pub down there and stunning views. Keep up your great entertaining video's 👍👍
Thanks again for making me remind myself to take a step back sometimes and enjoy the day to day living.
Another masterpiece of laidback chill!

Freddie try Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Orford, Walberswick and Southwold all on the coast and worth a visit. Have fun.
Thanks very much Ed- I've just saved these!
My bike security consists of me forgetting the key in the ignition for a week, parked outside by a public road, and it still being there when I return. :P
I use no locks when out and about, might use the steering lock in some areas, but that's it.
I remember those phone boxes being full of call girl cards. Maybe I was in the wrong area? :D
I remember too!🤣
Cool, very cool.
I'm surprised you've been able to move the bike to all these wonderful places considering how absolutely stunned you say you are all the time! 😉 Joking aside I really enjoy your videos and presentation style, very inspiring, and i'm always looking forward to the next one!
Thanks very much!🤣🤣
Another great laid back video. You do pick appropriate music background to enhance the laid back feel…. nice.
Not a area of England I’ve been to yet, so enjoyed the trip.
BUT - Ipswich, either the designers or planners or both, need sacking for such a basic blunder🤨
Someday I will travel from Korea to UK with my bonnie
This is unique.
Awesome
I live on the Shotley Peninsula. Loch and Quay has been shut down about a year now
Fantastic video you pair!!
Brilliant, thanks so much Darren!
