Hi, I am Joconde.
This video is a puzzle sugar cookie with a flower pattern.
Cookies that do not spread while baking.
You can feel tender crumble in your mouth
This is the recipe I completed after testing it several times.
I used icing sugar when creaming butter.
I used all-purpose flour and some cornstarch.
This dough is easy to handle when made with all-purpose flour.
If you make it with cake flour, it will be little weak.
However, if you want to use cake flour, do not add corn starch and replace it with 200g cake flour only.
You can do this by putting it in the refrigerator or freezer in the middle of working.
Instead, the texture of cookies is lighter and better than when made with all-purpose flour.
But ,no doubt , it's delicious enough even if you make it with all-purpose flour.
It's chewy at first bite, but you'll like the crunchy, soft texture in your mouth.
And for the shape, I put a floral pattern on it and cut it into squares, and baked it.
It was fun to connect the patterns like a puzzle.
Make cookies with different shapes such as animals or shapes for children,

I'd make these if I wasn't on a diet. I'd use granulated sugar for sugar cookies. I'd use powdered sugar for shortbread. The sound quality of this video is funny to me, it's kinda cute. 😄

Baking question specifically for this video. Is it easier to cream butter with powdered sugar? Cuz I’ve always seen recipes that say to use granulated sugar and I’m wondering if the differences in sugar texture makes the dessert come out different.
it does! check out Sugarologie's channel for explanations on that kind of thing. usually, powdered sugar is used for frosting, but since this cookie is so delicate it makes sense.
