Im getting use to the idea that opinions on art are subjective as well, both as a viewer and creator. My two cents is that I'm blown away by the fact you covered anything from Pokémon. Incredible cover of an icon of gaming!!
the first time i've heard this theme was in a roblox game called Pokémon Brick Bronze. that game's arrangement was much more peaceful, playing in a city park above the clouds, and the emptiness of the area (compared to the city's relatively dense shops) made it seem like the perfect place for some quiet reflection. that place is still what I remember the most about the game, sadly Nintendo DMCA'd it years ago anyways, I interpret your arrangement as much more adventurous and lively, a much different direction to what i'm used to, but i think it's really cool to be able to contrast both variations. They're both unique in their own special way. i loved listening to this one. thank you for brightening my day with every upload ❤
i actually did play brick bronze growing up weirdly enough, though i don't really remember hearing an arrangement of this in the game. maybe they borrowed the hg/ ss arrange or smth
I brought my Gameboy out to a Boy Scout Camp trip and let this song play over and over until the batteries ran out while enjoying nature. It's such a strong vivid memory of mine that I always love to reconnect to.
Art can be a great way to try and convey your deepest feelings to others and connect with them; yet in the same breath, I don't think it's productive to tell others they interpreted your creation *wrong*. Differently, perhaps, and that can lead to further conversation. In the game, National Park is much like how you described; it's a beautiful, well-maintained park with paved roads and benches, a large fountain, and plenty of tall grass where bug Pokemon are found. Being close to several towns, you can see plenty of NPCs there, and every few days even more people gather there for the Bug-Catching Contest. In this arrange, both Go Ichinose's original melody and your playful take on it leave a strong impression.
wow, I'm normally a pretty silent listener of yours but you absolutely knocked it out of the park (no pun intended) again with one of my favorite tracks of all time! This music has been such a huge inspiration for me, once I heard your rendition of starlight zone I started to try and create my own music in furnace, and even though i'm not the best I still continue to try so eventually, I can make something just as amazing as this. I cant wait to fall in love with this song all over again. I always click on your uploads as fast as I see them, I hope you take care, these songs really mean a lot to me and so many other amazing people! Oh and ps. listen to the GSC surf theme, its jaw droppingly beautiful
national park's one of my favorite pokemon songs and yu-no's one of my favorite pc-98 soundtracks so i immediately picked out the shared dna. really marvelous arrangement!!
oh my god I just checked your account and I see this banger. You always seem to do things a way my brain parses music ever since I was a kid. It's like the biggest form of 'YES! THIS!' kind of serotonin I receive with EVERY single track you arrange.
I kept imagining Pokémon arrangements in the style of something like YU-NO, and this sounds exactly like something I'd imagine it sounding. Probably even better, especially with the added parts of yours that sound amazing! I usually don't comment much, but amazing work as usual ❤
Isn't this really coincidential, I JUST was playing a rom of PKMN SoulSilver on my DSi, this is an amazing arrangement! The high pitches sound like the original game but habe the fidelity of the remake, it's like a best of both worlds situation. I really enjoy this, especially the guitar section being a little more laidback like a park. Keep it up Tay !
The picture is the perfect representation of this song ngl, I love sunsets/sunrise, they always symbolise some kind of peace for me. And also the description was quite a nice read, but there is a problem that arises from opinions… that being there CAN be a wrong one. Even in art, for example modern pop music is objectively not good for many reasons that I’d rather not go too deep into because it’s complex. And if anybody wants to argue at me in the replies, I won’t, I’m not going to join in, there’s no point in getting into something so heated that will ultimately just make us both angry and nothing else, so just save your energy honestly. The fact that there IS a wrong opinion complicates everything, so we argue and argue and argue missing the point that those people need to awaken to true art themselves because trying to convince them in offensive in a way. Thanks for the song, you make some great stuff, keep it up.
there can be a "wrong" opinion but it is still an "opinion" so to speak, at least that's what i think really depends on where the person making the opinion is coming from, so i ultimately choose to not take them too seriously and at least give them _some_ merit even if it may or may not be a disingenuous or dishonest reading of a piece of art
@@johntayjinf if I read that correctly, yes I agree. I do always try to have my own interpretation of a song, but it always ends up being completely off. Like for example I thought “No One Knows” by queens of the Stone Age was some kind of political 1984 kinda thing… but in fact it’s about the meaning of life in some kind of sense (it goes more in depth and specific but I ain’t typing it all out). Both perspectives are quite valid even though one comes from a standpoint of not understanding every lyric but still. It’s kind of a problem that the education system has to make people interpret art in a SPECIFIC way to get the most marks, the point is for people to come to their own conclusions as long as they are what they truly think about it.
National Park really is one of the all time best Pokemon tracks. Glad to see a cover from you of it even if you're not really being into the games themselves. Beautiful arrangement of it ❤
GORGEOUS arrangement. All the little flourishes, the little ways your arrangement takes us on a journey of its own, really does make this a lovely piece.
Very insightful description! I can only imagine what exact emotions fueled this lovely arrangement. You understand what makes music, no matter the format, worth making and listening to. Thank you so much for bringing out these colors in my mind!
Remember hearing this song, checking to see if it was the right day to catch Pokes in National Park. I was in 5th grade when Red and Blue came out, lots of great memories. But GSC are the games I have the most love for. Thanks for posting this, I needed it before work. Much love brother!
"once you share your art with the world, it's no longer just yours; it's for everyone" is why i'm afraid to share mine even with the internet... i also hear stuff like this and compare my music in a negative manner because this arrange is amazing and idk my stuff isnt even remotely as good... also probably the first time ive heard this song but i listened to the original and this is much better imo
your description is a really inspiring read, and i'm glad to see that this song's beauty brings people together in a way that only art can i think it goes without saying at this point in your journey, joy, but your FM sound is still something absolutely out of this world and it shines here. definitely got caught off guard by the switch-up past the intro, i thought we were staying in that mellow zone, but you took me for a ride
Pokemon and chiptune almost always go hard, and this isnt an exception. I love this, every part, really. And yes, i agree that perhaps its sad that no one can truly where youre coming from with your opinions, its best to except it as part of life that were all different.
This song is special to me as one of the first good stand out memories that I have of my best friend was walking about an hour and half to his house to get the Ikonik skin for Fortnite and the song that I listened to? National Park so this song has a place in my heart reminding me of that day. I am glad to see that it’s out I was very excited to listen to the full thing with I heard that small clip from Twitter!
Every. Single. Arrangement. I love your style so much Even if I haven't really listed to the original (Somehow??? I tend to forget tracks easily sometimes), your way of producing it is just ear-candy (Does that term exist???) It's really beautiful! And so is the text in the description This just sounds so relaxing, happy, reflecting in a way? Don't know how to explain sometimes lol, but it's so good! A lot of your uploads are saved on a playlist of mine and it's always a treat to be able to listen to them! Thank you a lot for all of these! I completely feel you on LDRs being hard! On the same boat right now, but it's still wonderful, and I wish it stays that way for you too! 💛
Read the description. I know there's a lot to take away from it but my biggest reaction comes from the totally intentional reference to "deep down i know" by mentioning those words in that order. i love it
Honestly, the moment I heard the preview on Twitter, I immediately went "Hello YU-NO patches". Either way, sounds amazing! Wonder what you might think of Love Escalator's OST cause MAN it's quite the doozy with what the composer could do to get patches to sound pretty close to actual instruments.
love your take on this song so much!!!! and as a fellow artist reading the description... aahh i dont have the words. thank you for creating and sharing your thoughts. thinking of other people's perception of my work makes me scared to share it... i want to be brave enough to share my work and my thoughts too
thanks for the good listen. i think ive come to learn that is that we form opinions around what media we have viewed, and what we like about it. often, people find have ideas about what are intrinsic to that song, to them. you might feel differently about it, but fuck it… you might feel your own way of what’s to be preserved and what’s not. both can be valid… and if we all thought in the same way then whats the point of unique arrangements. i see the value in asserting that idea to people though, as usually it’s musicians that understand there are many ways to approach arrangement and when talking to the regular person sometimes it can feel like you are talking to a band of philistines who go “but muh original”… anywho, thats my take on stylistic choices; maybe i didnt fully understand what you mean, and you meant something else. 😅 one small thing, this song should only be credited to Go Ichinose as original composer, and not the other two- he is the man that wrote this for _both_ gold and silver, and heartgold and soulsilve
one of my favorite pieces of music, absolutely incredible arrangement as always 💜

Amazing cover as always John.
I absolutely love this track. The description of this vid made me appreciate it more
Both yu-no and gb pokemon have a special place in my heart, thank you for this incredible work.
Thanks for remixing this. It's one one my absolute favorite childhood tunes.
Nostalgia con Nostalgia. Es... nostálgico.
Joy bringing musical joy to all of us
yo the YU-NO "bonds" reference at the beginning hit me like a flashbang, nice job incorporating that in the arrangement
One of my favorite tracks from the game, didn't expect this drop.
