Comfort is the only quality of a golf shoe that matters.

Mr. Vintage- It would be fun to see you test out a pair of the old style golf shoes that all the old-timers wore, which were essentially dress shoes with spikes (I don't know how they used to walk 18 in these!).

As an avid walker and carrier primarily playing early in the morning, comfort and waterproofing is key. A shoe has to be comfortable enough for 36 holes on Saturday, then 18 on Sunday, 9 on Monday, and 9 on Thursday.
The Underarmor HOVR Forged was the only shoe I found that served me that well. Unfortunately they are impossible to find and the newer versions are nowhere near as good of a fit for me.
If I’m riding in a cart though, some FootJoys are probably going to be on.
