Don't listen to any of the negativity cap, this is what, maybe one or two short videos of you showing a group of us how to do things better! I can name off a hundred friends in the business right now that watch you because you actually show great exciting videos, and help us also learn! Thank you again from us little people that don't know it all like some of the negative people! Keep up the great work!
The time and energy you will save it’s a real no brainer - (I don’t think it’s expensive anyway !) I was expecting it to be €1200-€1800 - The luxury motorhome world will be next to wash/buff and delicately polish. Great product. 👍
Wonderful product coming from a yacht detailer of 20 years. This can save your back and arms as well.It seems it would be great for cleaning non skid as well.
I don't own a yacht, however that would be way more efficient for cleaning my deck around the swimming pool...and the gutters.....and the front driveway and the lanai. Tell Jerome he needs to broaden his target market!
That happens when a yacht captain cares about things he has no clue from. This machine will definitely ruin the teak and together with the one shot cleaner even faster. It has a reason why this is not wide spread.
Everyone is an expert on youtube.I have been detailing yachts for 20 years, maintaining Teak and this product would not damage the teak unless you are doing it every day for years on end.
I absolutely love this VLOG! I was a bit of a late-comer to it and have spent a lot of my free time catching up to current. LOL. The only problem is that now that I am, what do I do? Start over? LOL. Looking forward to the next release!
Wish I had one of these when i used to clean a gym. All done by hand, gross job. Worst bit was cleaning several huge saunas/ steam rooms. All decking like on yachts. A machine like this would have been so much better and more thorough.
That is a nice item for many cleaning applications - watch out a lot of people are going to "copycat" that item. At 850 Euro - a lot of opportunity to "commodity" that very useful machine.
Thanks Tristian, I read your reasoning why and it makes since, still it was a bit of a let down to have a info commercial in place of your regular vlogs!! Maybe if you don’t mind the suggestion do half the vlog as a ad and the other half the crew using the product and giving there insights on the product? Cheers Roger
Hi Roger, this was not in place of any vlogs. As I mentioned in the community tab, the usual vlogs get posted on Tuesdays & Fridays. These infomercials will be on other days. We also have a great addition coming to the channel later this year called “crew stories” which will be published every Sunday.
This would make sense if a crew member was to be eliminated or for some daywork companies that need to do many boats in a day. To brighten teak 1-3 times a year - the cost of part 1 & 2 and a few doodle bugs is negligible.
Captain you don’t know me but I have work for a cleaning company for 21 years in the USA they have bought seven of these machines I will tell you they are pieces of junk there is so many things that you cannot do with this machine some of the things that go wrong the battery goes dead it does not last for four hours the battery pack rips in less than two weeks the motor that spins the pad drive locks up and goes bad and if you think about it when you extended the pole on the machine you have to stand that far away from The end and you cannot apply the proper pressure like I said you don’t know me but I suggest you do not buy this machine this guy is nothing but a salesman trying to get your money
I didn't get a notification for this vid and just now watched it. :( Screw you, TH-cam, and your crappy notification system. Edit; $948US (850 Euros) isn't bad at all IF the batteries hold up.(Not talking about the 4hrs usage, talking about the total life of the batteries/recharges.
Tristram, v interesting..can you do more on how you clean various surfaces in the yacht and how to fix things like spilt wine on carpets/sofas, scratches on woodwork, stains on bed linen.
Hope you know that you scrub Teak decks ACROSS the grain to avoid damaging the soft wood betwen the wood grain. Your round scrubbing action may destroy your decks. Check out Tom Cunliffe's video: th-cam.com/video/Q4eG0rIJWlA/w-d-xo.html
For a millions/billions dollar industry.. This product is super cheap. I do think it helps alot. Imagine cleaning a wood deck of a 100+ Metres yacht. with multiple decks. that will take a long time (and not being as clean as with this product). Not sure why people didnt come up with this before..
Most likely the beginning of the end. Lets wait one more commercial 😒 Then I’ll make up my mind. Edit. Yes. I read the post on the how and why. Just don’t try to grow faster then you can handle. We’re here for nice bts video’s. Not for commercials 😏
Tristan, What are you doing, this isn’t why I subscribed to you’re channel! I don’t want to watch a ad!! You could of given the guy 3 minutes and then maybe showed us how the crew cleaned the teak deck. That would be interesting not and ad man that’s just sad.
I don't, it was a nice commercial. I loved it! I do believe this cleaning man actually needs help with marketing, he was so careful when commenting on the price. I mean 800 euro for this piece of teak cleaning time saver, i mean c'mon man, even if it was 2000 it is still nothing, he should be more comfortable with the price. He has no idea how good of a toy he has, and let's not forget, 800 euro for a yacht owner is like 5cents for a case of beer for me - a no brainer.
Typical salesman indirect answers all leading to why you have to have one. Junk for 800. You could build the same thing with battery in handle and quick charge loosing the stupid back pack and 600 bucks of the cost.
grondhero for one they’ve been around for a long time. In the form of weed whacker’s lol they also can’t do corners. It’s just a freakin buffer with a handle on it. Pure robbery
Hater, yeah it does look like one, but let's not forget, this is a channel about AWOL, a way of life, this is part of yachting life. Let the subs know about how he is trying to look for ways to improve his crew's productivity and happiness. Workers in any walk of life don't get much happier that tools and toys for the job, especially new ones that make the hard cleaning tasks easier. Take it as you wish, i understand it is a commercial, but at least ir is incorporated in this series very nicely
Sorry. Not a fan. But also understand your choice. If you want to make money with the channel this may be the way to go. If your channel is just for fun but it is just too much work to combine with the normal work just put out less video's and keep it real.

As ex Royal Navy thank you for giving me a good smile !
What a great machine not only for yacht crews but anyone who owns a boat

I think it's great that you're helping a friend, but I sure hope this channel doesn't turn into a bunch of yachting equipment infomercials.
I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but they have been making various sizes of floor scrubbers for a great many years including the brushes and pads.
Those were my thoughts exactly. Well said.
I don't own a yacht, however that would be way more efficient for cleaning my deck around the swimming pool...and the gutters.....and the front driveway and the lanai. Tell Jerome he needs to broaden his target market!
You can still order for you pool 😉
@@SuperYachtCaptain that's right, he did say it was water proof
@@SuperYachtCaptain what manufacturer? How to order?
I never thought of a motorized scrub brush as new technology. Maybe a labor saving device.
Here’s me expecting a deck hand, a bucket of soapy water and a tooth brush 😂
You need to brush the correct direction on a teak deck to clean and not ruin it.
That happens when a yacht captain cares about things he has no clue from. This machine will definitely ruin the teak and together with the one shot cleaner even faster. It has a reason why this is not wide spread.

@@rx7dude2006 what do you think super yatch crews do....
youtube experts on it again
I like to see the products and devices you use on the yacht!
These are the products we use 👍

Interesting infomercial... What is dry ice cleaning that's displayed on Jerome's truck.?
Good Video Tristan, Good information.
Hope you got your 50% discount for the sales video !!!
Tristan that guy was outstanding. What a cool aid in keeping AWOL looking good. He sold me, what say you? Great video.
OMG a rotating mop head, who would have thought. Bravo ;-)
Now that is a reasonable price to get teak cleaned and back to a beautiful golden color.
Great info! Thanks for sharing!
This will change everything, thanks for showing this video!
"Olland" made my day! ;-) Apart from that, his English is pretty good for a Frenchman.
I was doing some searching and is it true that the AWOL is up for sale?
I think it's supposed to be a secret! 🤐
Wish I had one of these when i used to clean a gym. All done by hand, gross job. Worst bit was cleaning several huge saunas/ steam rooms. All decking like on yachts. A machine like this would have been so much better and more thorough.
Awol is for sale ?
Yes.
Do you stay with the new owner of do you go to another boat ?
I’m amazed someone hasn’t come up with something like this earlier.
This i must have !!
That is a nice item for many cleaning applications - watch out a lot of people are going to "copycat" that item. At 850 Euro - a lot of opportunity to "commodity" that very useful machine.

Quite fancy these for the cleaning company.
Thinking of a 131Sunseeker please advise.

Nice pitch, surely free samples for AWOL :-)
Did I hear it uses a Ph of 14.. Not on my deck.

Hey Cpt. Tristan - Your merchandise does not ship to Singapore? What madness is this?
850 € is a laugh. This looks to be a 250 € tool tops. I'm going to make my own.
Tristram, v interesting..can you do more on how you clean various surfaces in the yacht and how to fix things like spilt wine on carpets/sofas, scratches on woodwork, stains on bed linen.
Anything on carpet - use shaving cream, it works magic. Stains in the bed, it was her fault
Your merchandise does not have T-shirts? I've ordered some mugs instead for a few of my captain friends
I suspect, this gave you a free one for promo compensation? Nice product!!
nice haircut man

Get the teak from Westminster Teak. Best in the world.
YAY!

OMG I am definitely having one of those and that One Shot product.
You lost me at "This video is sponsored by......".
O No never on a teak deck , it will ruin it.
So what did i just look at? A big youtube ad or an actual entertaining video.....
Every once in a while promoting a useful product such as this is great, just be selective. Otherwise more very useful information.
Is bare feet cleaning, not recommended !!!!!
He’s just proofing that the products aren’t harmful and eco friendly.

Roger, please read the post I put on the channels community Tab yesterday. It explains all.

Tristan, really? T-shirts, coffee cups and now commercials for a flimsy product?
Stefan, May I suggest that you read the latest post on the community tab. I think it will answer your concerns.
What?
Typical salesman indirect answers all leading to why you have to have one. Junk for 800. You could build the same thing with battery in handle and quick charge loosing the stupid back pack and 600 bucks of the cost.

That's the last of your video's I'll be watching. Unsibscribing.
Please read the post I put on the community Tab.
And the downfall of a good channel begins with today's published commercialism
