Hallo, lieber Horst. Ich hoffe dir geht es gut. Schön, dass du wieder dabei bist. Immer schön etwas aus der Heimat zu hören. Viel Spaß beim Video schauen... 😊🙏❤️🇹🇭
Thanks for the big effort you've put into the videos Martin. You've certainly travelled far from home. I love the travelling around. It amazed me how they cook safely in those boats and not set them on fire. Many thanks Martin for a very .interesting video
You're eating too well Martin ... better save some for us ...555. Love the floating markets great atmosphere mate. Stay safe my friend. Thanks for the rides. Bushyboy Oz.
I so enjoyed this video and it brought back many memories of Thailand. I would so love to go back. I never went to the floating market so was a very enjoyable trip with you. I love Tom Yum and believe it or not I'm making Thai Red Chicken Curry today :))
20 baht for 30 mins and another 40 baht for 5 more minutes?🤔 That feeling when you know you've just been ripped off, but think " Oh well, It's only money"😉 Thanks for taking us along with you Martin. 👍🇦🇺🙏 Jim.
Would you check out Taling Chang floating market, just next to BKK, you can take the bus 97 (?) from downtown Siam to the market, or BTS then taxi, or pier 11 then songthew to the market. I went with a Thai guy, he did everything for me I just remembered partly.
Hallo, mein Freund. 😊🙏❤️🇹🇭
This video only intensified the bad memories I had going here last year. We were in Bangkok at the time, fetched a taxi cab that supposed to take us to the Grand Palace, but the driver insisted that it was closed and “not good for traveling”, so he suggested that we should rent his cab for the whole day for ฿1,200. It was noon during that time, so I asked if he could give us a discount, but he refused. And being first time travellers, we have researched for DIY travel, but this taxi driver detoured us. We eventually agreed to his sales talk and flowery words that then led us to this floating market, Damnoen Saduak. I can’t recall going to the entrance in this video. Instead, he led us to a shabby location with people waiting to charge us the price for the ticket. A person gave this small blue ticket to us, charging us ฿3,000. He said it was family package already. They even mentioned that there will be an animal show at the end of the tour so they reasoned it was good price. It shocked us to see how expensive it was but we arrived at the location for almost 1 and a half hour and we felt bad if we decided to decline him and ask the driver to go back. The events happened too fast and we haven’t realized they have already took our money because they were so good at persuading. So, we aboard the boat, expecting a great deal for the price we paid. But it only ruined our whole trip. The shops were mostly closed, and only few people were open that time. I realized that the boatman was touring us in circles, showing us unpleasant parts and sights within the area, like those monitor lizards that scared the crap out of us. I can’t even recall seeing those beautiful arches and bridges, except all we saw was water and empty murky canals. The animal show at the end was also a pitiful sight. We only saw a juvenile elephant tied to a leash connected to a pole that extends for like 2 meters, allowing the poor animal to walk on circles because the rope was too tight, it couldn’t move freely. They said there’s a fee if you want to take a picture with the elephant. We thought it’s already included in the “family package”, but it wasn’t. There’s also this suspicious fees everywhere in the area. It was too late to realize that we were scammed. So, next time, if you’re planning to travel to Thailand, please do your research. Don’t go anywhere you haven’t researched about because these schemes are prevalent. But if you decide to go adventurous, RESEARCH the price in the internet or go for reviews before giving your money. I learned this the hard way as a first time traveller, that RESEARCH is key. And stay safe always, guys. ✌🏻✌🏻
I am so sorry for you, my friend. But I made also some of bad experiences in the past. I am learning every day. Thanks for sharing your thoughts... 😊🙏❤️🇹🇭
We visited Thailand 5-6 times, but never get scammed. We have been very careful. Last December there were a man 100 meter far away to MBK , he told us the center is close, but we knew it's a lie. Grand Palace is always open, except Corona time.
I think Martin summed it up pretty well at 13:30 "Theme Park". We went last year and I was surprised by the price when I got there, hadn't researched it like you mentioned. My nephew and his girlfriend really enjoyed it. Overall I'm glad I went but would still like to see a real floating market.
Amazing Floating Market THAILAND. The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market.

@@bangkokandmore Generous tipper ! 😆
@@bangkokandmore Good man! Hard to feed a family on that ฿20 price, even on the ฿60.
