Thank YOU for watching. You're able to walk around without taking the boat. Though you can't visit all the places by food. I recommend get an hour boat ride whenever you make it over :)
10:27 Amazing rap with a lovely family.😂 The original atmosphere of this floating market is only rowing boats.🛶 It would be nice to cut off the crazy diesel boats with black smoke and loud noises and replace them with EV boats.⚡👍
@misslottieish - it's muddy canal water. You know that the Mississippi river gets muddy too! Don't be such a narrow-minded American; it's very embarrassing!
You & Ilona are such a beautiful couple together Chai! Love this video & we hope you had a wonderful time together with her family 😊 Thanks for sharing this amazing video 🙏🏼😊
That’s so nice of you to say ❤️ thank you and we’re very glad we’re still able to do this 🏆🕺 thanks so much for watching and letting us know how you like it🙏 have a wonderful day
I wanted to visit d floating market in Bangkok but I didn't make it, however I did a cruise on a personal chartered tail boat passing d river n some other canals.
I have 😃 and I’ll definitely like to check it out some day. Thanks for the tip. I think there is a bus No. 511 going there from the southern bus terminal in Bangkok. But I’m not sure how often they run, sorry. Taxi will be your easiest way :)
The floating market looked like a fun day out. I'm like you, I don't like the long tail boats either they are so noisy. 😁 Hopefully you decide to go to Cambodia next 😊🙏
Cheers Connie 😁 aw yeah it’s definitely a bit disturbing and hopefully they’ll change to electric boats one day :) that would make the place much nicer I think. Stay champ 🏆❤️
Awesome floating market that Chai and a great day out but very much smokey for sure and something to add to the list of places to have a mask handy :) Did some research and found it is in Damnoen Saduak within Ratchaburi 100k south west of Bangkok and very much a tourist attraction. Thinking 600 baht for an hour on a boat is a little rich as that one boat probably does multiple runs up to 2.30pm when it dies off each day. The person operating the boat obviously therefore not the owner only on 250 baht but still probably does more than a couple of them so likely survives reasonably well on her income. . Outstanding money earner within the Thai economy for sure for the actual owner of that business. So much to see and do and great fun also when you have a talented drummer in the party. I was also getting right into that beat 😂 An early return to Malaysia makes sense as you appear to have been very well received there champ so that definitely would be a good idea. Cambodia and that Angkor Wat would be interesting. Hopefully they arn't still burning off plastics around the rural areas which is detrimental to one's health. Excellent video this one champ. Thanks for sharing 🤩
Aw that’s right Steven. She did say she got only 250 per day but working in a environment like this she will be probably very able to take take of her family 💵 I’m sure we’re not the only ones who tip. I’ll probably do Cambodia first, back to Thailand, then Malaysia again 😁
Somebody in the comment mentioned it, and yeah I thought something is off about the floating market scene. I thought the vendors are supposed to be on the boat and the visitors stay on land.
Hello guys, Great video ! What is the best way to go from downtown to this Floating Market ? ...by Grab ? How far is it from downtown ? Any othet tip for first time visitors ? Thank you so much.
Thanks mate :) best way is use Grab from the city. It will take just about less than an hour to get here. I’d recommend to bring 500 baht bills and less. The 1000baht bills you can pay with in any 7/11 so you get smaller change. Just wonder around first check out some prizes before you book a boat. :)
Thank you, Chai, nice to see the market and your Thai family enjoying themselves. Do you look at the air quality reports from Chiang Mai while you are gone and think, "Thank goodness I'm not there?" and sadness for those that are? AQI scores over 400 lately. Terrible. Hopefully, Songkran will bring clean air as in the past. I am selfishly glad to see Champ of the Day go, only because I have that honor, and now I am in rarer company. 555. Will I become more valuable, like a rare coin? Should I add it to my resume? 55. So when are you returning to CM? Or will you settle elsewhere after your travels? Glad to see you out and about in the world, and sharing it and having fun.
Ow man. I do get some updates from Chiang Mai sometimes and it’s pretty bad indeed. Hahaha thanks Randy! Yeah man you totally can put it on your CV 😜 my pleasure as always 🏆 cheers!
Fun Fact, you boat paddler/ driver gets a commision from each vendor you you buy from... Fun Fact 2: Roger Moore raced his boat through these canals in The Man with the Golden Gun...
Sawadee Champ Chai! You mentioned Ilona's parents are there but I didn't see a farang Dutch man in the group. Ilona is half Thai and half Dutch so is that Thai man in the group her stepfather? Sorry, I am so confused!
I went there once in 1987. It was far less touristy then than now. I hope it has improved. Hot Humid Time Consuming Far Away After a little while, one wonders, what is the point of being there much longer? Consider sending a letter to the TAT recommending the gasoline motor boats use electric motors instead. In the USA we would call them trolling motors for bass boats.
@@pedagangkarat39I’m glad I’m not the only one feel that way about them. Had a few negative encounters with these tourists especially at the buffet line. Don’t understand their personal space concept!
5000 for the boat, that’s not the right price 😅 When you buy from an agent it will also charge you extra though. I’d still just ignore the scammers and get a ticket there for less then 900 Baht
I was conned for 5000baht for 2 pax just a boat ride plus 1000 baht for taxi and i filed in Thai embassy reporting it is a scam and fortunately i got a refund ...cos i paid my card@@Chai_Travel
Thai should be proud of themselves. The country looks much better in terms of development. Cheer to your family Chai 👍
Ow they are proud ;) and fair enough indeed 😁 thanks for watching again🏆
This is the first video that I watch in your TH-cam channel and I love it now!!
Thanks! I hope you enjoy some other videos too 😁 thanks for saying hi 👋
Thanks for sharing excellent video. Can a person walk the market or boats only ? Thanks
Thank YOU for watching. You're able to walk around without taking the boat. Though you can't visit all the places by food. I recommend get an hour boat ride whenever you make it over :)
Totally cool!
Thanks Rold 😁

Ow yes! That would be a whole different experience when they go fully electronic 😃 or just go back to the old paddle boats 😅 “amazing rap” lol 😜❤️
It’s very chaotic and I do have my reservations but we already booked a tour for later so I guess it will be quite an experience 😅 stay champ!
I know it can be hectic, but I think you’ll really enjoy it! 😊
Wow very interesting.Nothing like that in Usa. The water looks so nasty.Thank you. Your videos are so nice.
Ey Laura 😃 thank you so much. Haha I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos we’re making 🏆 have a good day and night

Cool Yasin! Man, I’m sure you had a great time. It’s so nice to experience Bangkok by boat 😃
@@Chai_Travel Yes, it was, like d tail boat, more than 30 feet, big enough for myself n my 2 friends n d boat captain. 😀
I love Thailand. I m coming there on the 3rd of August 2024 that is less than 3 weeks. 😊 my third time in Thailand.
A very unique place and is special that you have your & Ilona & her family
Well filmed and edited my friend 👌😃🙏👋 Nice work Champs
Cheers mate ❤️ always good to see you’re watching:) have a beautiful Sunday 😁
Hi, could u pls advise how much is the boat ride in the canal?
Hi hi, between 500 and 800 baht for one hour is reasonable :)
@Chai_Travel thanks a lot!
did you consider the firefly tour thing at night? is there any better way to get there from bangkok other than via taxi?

I can remember the time the buyers were ashore and the sellers were the ones doing the floating, not every change is an improvement

Hi. Is it 600 baht for the whole boat?
That’s right. Not bad :)

มาครั้งแรกหรือ?
It was my first time indeed :)
Do we just go there and buy our tickets for the boat ride or should we do it in advance?
You can just get your tickets there. I wouldn’t pay more than 1.200 THB 😊 I hope it’s useful

Hey champ, you should also visit the Amphawa Floating Market. Much better and less of a tourist trap!
Thanks for the tip mate! I’ve put it in the list 😁

Fun Fact, you boat paddler/ driver gets a commision from each vendor you you buy from...

You settled in a nice area Brock 😍 welcome back 🙏
Aaah cool! Haha I’ve just read your fun facts ;) thanks for that!
been there :) Boats should be electric. Easy and cheaper.

Hahaha, that man was na Moo. Our uncle :) the father of Ilona stayed at home for this trip. Thanks Kevin 🏆
Let's see what's happening in Cambodia.

No to this place. Overrated with very high price. You can get same product cheaper on Pratunam or MBK.
I actually loved it here for a day out. A total different environment than Pratunam or MBK
If only Godzilla would show up and go to work on this place
Interesting comment. Very interesting
We got scammed at this touristy market. Our Thai friends don’t come here.
I’m sorry to hear that. I’m sure scams happen everywhere in south East Asia and not only at this market. Just be aware☺️
