@EngulfedSix As for rotational type of Whelens, they only have 4 horns that connects together into a big rectangular horn. Those would be called WPS-4000 series or Vortexes. If you have pictures of the siren your wondering about, you can send them to me and I can help you identify it.
I love these and the good ol thunderbolts, its when they die down that really chills me everywhere you go in my town theres sirens we must have some 2001's cause they talked and when i heard them i almost crapped my pants cause sirens dont talk!!!
Whelen should bring back the dual tone for their WPS and Vortex sirens, only set the tones to match a T-bolt set on tap 5 or maybe 4. This one is like a T-bolt set on tap 6 or maybe 7 (depending on input voltage, etc.)
I can't really tell if this siren really did fail or if the EMA director just decommissioned a lot of them due to the fact that the new siren update was in progress.
Well since the Michigan's economy is like hell, 2001-130s are the cheapest siren they can think of. Its also proving to us siren lovers that we are in a very depressing life! :(
Do you know, even today, does Livonia manually send a cancel tone rather than letting them run their 3 minute cycles? Cause this one just cuts off, as if a cancel tone was sent.
ChrisCo-Op Gaming Dual tone sounds better but single tones carry further unless the pitch is too high which is why the 2001 is so bad. Lower pitch single tones like the T-128 do a better job than the 2001 or the Chinese ATI. but still this Whelen sounds incredible!

the eon duo yes and ♾% times better than ati
one of my favorite analog whelens

These sound like a lower pitched EOWS siren. Does anyone have the frequencies for this controller? I'd love to know the top frequency for each tone.

I remember seeing one in person at Houghton Lake, MI but that is a four hour drive from Livonia.
i love the dual tone

Whelen engineering need to bring the 3016s back
federal signal modulator kid003 and the ESC-864 Controller

With how the analog controllers work, ESC-864 should’ve stayed.
