Hello Shane! We recently purchased the Solomark F70070EQ telescope. It looks beautiful, however we can’t seem to find anything at night. Moon, stars etc. it’s just dark. This is our first telescope. Any suggestions step by step on how to locate planets etc at night? I’m not sure if this tutorial applies to our telescope as well. So my apologies if I’m asking the same questions
Good day! No worries, that happens. It's a good telescope based on the reviews on Amazon and some articles. The video will also apply to your telescope as you need to learn how to focus your telescope first. A distant light bulb would help, use the 20mm eyepiece and try to focus your telescope on the light bulb to see if you can focus and see it sharply. (The telescope cannot focus if the object is too near) Here are my step-by-step suggestions on how to locate the objects in the sky. 1. Learn how to focus your telescope first, and use the 20mm eyepiece as it provides lesser magnification than a 10mm eyepiece, which means you will be able to see in a wider field of view which increases the chances of finding the objects in the sky. 2. Use Stellarium, Celestron SkyPortal or other Astronomy software that can be your guide to locate the objects in the night sky. Here are the links of the software, you can install one or two: •Celestron Sky Portal: apps.apple.com/ph/app/celestron-skyportal/id877780544 •Stellarium: apps.apple.com/ph/app/stellarium-mobile-star-map/id1458716890 3. You can also use the finderscope of your telescope to find objects easier and faster, but you need to calibrate or align the finderscope with your telescope. Here’s the link as a guide: th-cam.com/video/QuZ7LUbnhss/w-d-xo.html You can ask questions, no worries. Cheers have a nice day!
Good day!, Yes it is good enough to see the planets like Jupiter and Saturn although they look small, but recognizable. You can see the rings of Saturn, moons of Jupiter, phases of Venus etc...However, in stars they looked the same as what your eyes can see, because they are very far. Thank you!
Hi! I am a new subscriber. I just bought this telescope and I am still confused on how to actually use the barlow lens and the other eyepiece. LOL. I need help on that, please. 😅
Hi there. In order to use the barlow lens, you need to remove the diagonal (eyepiece corrector). Attach the eyepiece to the barlow lens and connect the barlow to the focuser tube, you need an object that is very far enough when using the barlow, as the telescope can’t focus to the objects that are near. Barlow increases the magnification of your eyepieces. 20mm eyepiece gives you less magnification than the 12.5 and 4mm. I suggest to use 20mm eyepiece when you’re trying to find an object in the field of view of the telescope, once you found your object, try to swap the 20mm to 12.5mm or 4mm to get a closer view. Thank you for subscribing and for asking, I appreciate it. If you have more questions, feel free to ask anytime. 👊🏻🙂
Good job for explaining. Recently I bought a telescope with the same parametres. When I try to look at the moon, I see only my eyelashes. Could you explain please, if this means that my telescope is broken? Thank you
Hi there. If you saw your eyelashes when the telescope pointed towards the moon, that would mean your telescope is just out of focus. Keep rotating the focuser wheel back & fort until everything becomes clear. I recommend to refocus during daytime. Find an object like trees or buildings that's far enough, and I suggest using the 20mm eyepiece first. Thank you. Ask anytime. 👊🏻😀
@@ShanesTech Hello. Its me again, sorry. Tonight I tried to look at the moon. I followed your advice, and I watched it very closely. But I have a question: is it normal to look at the moon so closely with a 20 mm eyepiece? Thank you!
Hi there, no worries. Yes, it is normal to watch the moon very close with 20mm eyepiece. If you are seeing the whole moon, it’s normal. You are observing at 35x magnification with 20mm eyepiece. 700mm focal length of the tube divided by 20mm eyepiece = 35x. You can ask anytime. Thank you & clear skies! 👊🏻😀
Hi there. 525x is blurry because it’s too much zoom for the telescope to handle. Most 60mm refractors are only recommended to use 175x magnification. There’s no way to fix that. I also recommend limiting the zoom to 175x for better viewing than using 525x zoom. Thank you.
Hi there. You need to adjust the focuser and make sure that you are looking at the very far/distant objects because the telescope can’t focus on close objects. Also try to use 20mm eyepiece first before using the other eyepieces. Thank you.

Hi there. Yes, F70070 has a slightly bigger aperture than the F70060. Therefore, having 70mm aperture gathers more light compared to 60mm aperture which allows you to see objects a little bit brighter than the 60mm, also the quality/clarity of the object that you will observed is also much better than the 60mm. Both refractor telescopes has the same focal length which is 700mm. If I’m going to pick one. I’ll go with F70070 telescope. Thank you. Ask anytime. 👊🏻😀

Ahh got it. When you look at the stars through the telescope, nothing will change it's because the stars are too far, even if you use high magnification their size will still look the same. Even more expensive telescopes can't zoom in to the stars with spectacular details except the Sun (our own star). Only the size of planets, the moon, and the sun (w/ solar filter) are noticeable because they are much closer so they can be observed easily. Observing the stars will be difficult as you will hardly see them as you go up with higher magnification. Thank you.

Good day po. Good question!
Hii pohh new sub here! Ask kolang poh sana, nag aaral poh kasi ako ng Astronomy first year collage student, ano pobang pinagkaiba if sa telescope lalagayn mo ng barrow lens vs non Barrow lens?
Cool! Ask anytime. At good luck po for pursuing Astronomy dahil iilan lang po may interest. 👊🏻😀
Ask anytime! 👊🏻😀

Hi! I'm not an expert and I have a doubt. Is there any difference with an F70060 Telescope and a F70070?
Thanks 😊😊

That's great. I actually prefer the black one because it looks cool! :)
how to use when peeping?
Good evening po. Thank you po. 🙌

Can you See planets well or just as lightly as it looked in the Video?
Hi there. I can see the planets well visually dpends on the eyepiece that I’ve used. They still look small you can see the bands of Jupiter and rings of Saturn, not much when it comes to Mars.
Here’s my short clips if you haven’t seen them:

Hi Shane , may I know kung anu pa un mga binili mo bukod sa telescope?
Good day po.
Good evening po. Sa Shopee ko po nabili.

me again, why cant i see anything at night? ive used the red dot, but nothing happens........
Hi there. May I know what object are you trying to observe in the night sky? Thank you.
@@ShanesTech a star
@@ShanesTech a star
Thank you.
@@ShanesTech I appreciate you so much!! Thank you
Apply the same method when you’re trying to observe the moon, as well as the planets!
Have a clear skies!
Thanks bro

Can you see planets like Jupiter and Saturn with this telescope?
Hi there. Yes, I can them up close with this telescope. The rings of Saturn and the bands of Jupiter are visible. Thank you.
Newbie here, What are the other accessories needed for Astrophotography? Solar Filters, Eyepieces, Phone Mount, etc. Ano yung included in the box and what are the other stuffs na kaylangan para good shots 👍 TIA!
Another thing, what stuffs should i get for Jupiter and Saturn photos?
Good evening po, sorry po sa very late reply, naka held review po comment niyo, di ko po nakita agad.
Here are the list of accessories that I bought few months ago:
*1.25" 2x Barlow lens to double the magnification - shopee.ph/product/83216421/7612512350
shopee.ph/product/98802109/2325296586
*1.25" 23mm eyepiece (wide FOV/less magnification)

*Mobile phone adapter/can be attached to eyepiece
shopee.ph/product/50111576/1598640394
*4mm plossl eyepiece:
shopee.ph/product/140389101/7820743698

Thank you po :)
Good day po. Good question!
@@ShanesTech okay maraming salamat sa advice. You deserve my subcription
@@ShanesTech ano pong 1.25' eyepiece nirerecomend nyo?
Welcome po at Salamat po. Ask lang po anytime 👍
IT IS SUCH A BIG HELP
Thanks!
Hii pohh new sub here! Ask kolang poh sana, nag aaral poh kasi ako ng Astronomy first year collage student, ano pobang pinagkaiba if sa telescope lalagayn mo ng barrow lens vs non Barrow lens?
Cool!
Ask anytime. At good luck po for pursuing Astronomy dahil iilan lang po may interest. 👊🏻😀
from 175x.
Ask anytime! 👊🏻😀
