Hi Ellen - LOL - I get that paper out about every 2 years and just shake my head and think what am I going to do with it now?! Some years are better than others!! Have a Happy Christmas! I will be back in January as soon as I get out of my sling!
I have been binge watching cards made from scraps… as a way of avoiding the piles of scraps I have 😜. No matter how many scraps I use the piles don’t get any smaller (I’m convinced they multiply like rabbits when I’m not looking!) 😀. I’ve been watching your scrap series and like how you talk through your choices and decisions. You’d never know that the cards were made from scraps… they look very finished and I think anyone would be very pleased to receive one. Thanks so much for your videos.
Thank you so much for your kind comments! I think the real key to scraps is how you store them. I like to keep mine with the original papers so when I am in the mood to use that paper it's easy to pull the scraps first. I do this with all the paper in my studio. Also, my concept of scraps gets smaller and smaller!!🤣
@@lauramoore4064 Oh me too - especially those little leftovers that you never quite get back to. Check out this Sunday's video I think it's a great scrap/sticker user!
Hi Julia. My goodness you made lots of cards today, and all made with paper you don't like... how funny is that? 🤣 What is even funnier is that I didn't like the papers either... 🤣🤣🤣... too funny! It certainly can be challenging, but you succeeded remarkably, and I was so surprised how you pulled them all together... well done you! ⭐⭐⭐Julia you deserve gold stars for that. I noticed that you had lots of scrappydoos 🤣 (I don't even know how to spell that word, and Julia I think you have invented a new word!) at 27.08, and most of them ended up in your bin! If it were me I would have had the entire paper pads in the bin ages ago, as they are designs and colours I couldn't see myself working with. Thank you for this video Julia... you really did put a smile on my face. 😊 Blessings, love and hugs from Aussie Gloria 🥰🌻💖💝💖
I think you nailed Scrappydoos!🤣🤣🤣 And I'm glad I didn't have to put the whole video in the bin. Surprisingly the cards pulled together because I was really challenged to start this one! When I realized it was"that" paper worked with those stickers, I was aghast!! Funny how things work out...Have a wonderful week my Friend!
@@SeniorSusieStamps Julia I am so happy that you didn't scrap the whole video, and trash it! Sometimes we need to be encouraged by videos such as this, because sometimes we face the same problem of what to do with a hideous piece of cardstock or embellishment. Did I say hideous? 🤣 I no doubt have paper pads that contain designs that I don't like, but now I will look at them in a new light, and if I have problems to think of you, and this video... LOL! 🤣 Julia have a blessed day, and happy crafting in your fabulous studio.🥰💐💝
Susie, the paper really didn't look so bad once you assembled your cards! I enjoyed watching your thought process as you chose the paper combinations. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Roxanne - Thank you! I agree - that paper grows on you a bit. And then I put it away and when I pull it out again I just scratch my head and wonder "What were you thinking??" LOL
Only discovered your channel a couple of days ago, Julia. Am loving your work. I have so much patterned paper, so extremely happy what I’m learning from you.
I absolutely love how these cards came out! I can't believe you made so many beautiful cards from scraps! I just found your channel today and I subscribed right away! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
Hi Val and Welcome to My Channel! There are several scrap videos on channel now I did a complete series in May. Here is another one you might like - th-cam.com/video/s4E9fqD_1cI/w-d-xo.html Enjoy and Come Back Soon!
Oh Robyn - Thank You! Which one was your favorite? I liked the one with the little green flowers the best myself. And I greatly appreciate you watching my channel. I love making cards and sharing...
@@SeniorSusieStamps like you , this paper pad is definitely not my taste at all ! I think I like the card you made with the pink paper one best . I was intrigued to see what you made !
I have tons of these Dollar Tree stickers, but mine look much shinier than the ones you are using. Did you dull the shine on the ones you used, or is it just the lighting on the video doesn't show how shiny your stickers are? I love this video.
Oh Julie I am sorry to hear this. It's usually that you are not holding it flat to what you are gluing. Sometimes when you press too hard it strangles the tape runner. And sometimes when you don't apply enough pressure you don't advance the tape. I have been very well satisfied with my ATG and tombow taperunners. The only advice I can give is try to keep the actual tape dispenser flat on the page an your tape runner action smooth.
I am so thankful that your channel came across my phone. I liked, commented, and subscribed. I just had to add this and I hope you don't mind. Some of them turned our really cute even with the ugly cardstock. It really surprised me. 😮 😮😮😮
LOL I don't mind at all! I thought they turned out much better than anticipated. Welcome to My Channel. I see you are backwatching some and wanted to say Thank You for keeping the channel active! I try to publish a new video on Sunday afternoons 4:30 PM USA Eastern time. So come back soon!!
Laughing out loud, I love the statement about making a card that you don't really like and that somebody else likes it!!! That is so true!!
I know - Right?!
Thank you for showing ideas how to use up paper scraps of "I do not like this paper at all!!". You are wonderful!
