- Don't we all have an abundance of stickers in our stash???!!! If you're like me you do. This is one of the Easiest and Quickest Backgrounds for Cards you can ever make. It's sparkly and universally useful for all kinds of cards, but especially for Stickers.

Thanks Nina - I find it gives a little better control of what you are adding to the card front to use a little baggie, rather than smooshing directly on the card front. Have a great week!

I have never tried glitter glue with ink smooshing but would like to give it a try! My favorite card is the floral bouquet--I like the soft blue background. Have a great week, Julia!

Great background technique! It's so nice not to have the glitter coming off when you handle a card. My favorite one is the pink and green card because I love thos flower stickers and I love the pink and green color combination.🥰😉👍

Hello Julia. It is a very effective technique with the glitter glue. I can imagine how nice they do look in person. Hard to capture by camera. I love the butterfly one because of the colours. They all look really lovely though. 😊

I love all of them! In particular the last butterfly one. (a) it's my favorite colour and (b) you showed how you dealt with the oopsie. And to think I was about to toss out my old glitter glues 🤦
Hi Julie - I like using glitter glue to add sparkle to backgrounds. Sadly, it doesn't show up well in the pictures, but it makes a big impact on the card in person!

Hi Annette - Goodness I hope you didn't get the mega color set like I did - It nearly drove me crazy trying to get them all organized!! But I use them a lot and really enjoy having all the colors.

Super cute cards! I liked the light blue flowers the best but all are nice! I don't use glitter glue but this is a great technique!
Thanks Cheryl! I like a little glitter shimmer once in a while to change things up. And glitter glue works best for me. That blue flower card is a lovely one - great choice!!

What is the pen thing you use to pick up the gems? I need to get myself one of those
I have 2 pickers I really like. P.S, i forgot to ask you how you get glue in your tiny bottle?
I just very carefully pour it in. And, I must admit there have been some messes occaisionally. But if you start really slow and be patient it is not hard at all.

G'day, Julia! I love Monday mornings when I can watch your video while having my breakfast. How can one pick a favourite card as they are all lovely! I am enjoying these videos where you are creating the backgrounds for your cards, and it is amazing how the backgrounds you create really suit each card. I was a little concerned when you added the gold glitter glue, but I need not have worried.
Julia, I do not have glitter as I never really liked the mess that glitter creates, but could you add Perfect Pearls for a shimmering effect? Also, I do not have stickers or embellishments in my craft stash, because in the past I was often disappointed in the quality. I usually make my own embellishments if needed for my cards.
To adhere down a warped card base (and I often use watercolour paper) I use glue, and then place one or two of the biggest acrylic blocks on top of the card leaving it for a while as I start another project. It is a bit primitive, but it works!

Hi Gloria!! I am with you on the mess of regular glitter. Can't ever get rid of the stuff. Glitter glue isn't like that at all. I don't have any Perfect Pearls. Why don't you try one and let me know?! And you don't need stickers to use this background technique. Die cuts work every bit as well. Or, just a basic focal piece. And I have 2 large acrylic blocks that I frequently use for this exact purpose! Great minds!! Walk with God's blessings, love and hugs, Julia

Thanks Cheryl - Glitter glue has it's uses, and I like to pull it out once in a while. It really adds to a background if applied in a smoosh here and there.
