It’s so interesting to see this rhino using its sense of smell as I believe their eye sight to be poorly? And I cannot believe you have a secretary bird!!!!! And SP Male ❤
Hi MM. I bet the Toulon Pack of wild dogs weren't too happy to have a rhino gatecrash their happy greeting party. Were they? But the time he just appeared, I think they must have run off to enjoy the rest of their greeting in peace. After all, as wild dogs are noisey predators, I bet the rhino came in to chase them of probably because they were making so much moise by disturbing him. The Split Rock male is a very big and impressive male leopard at ten years and five months old. He is one of a small handful of territorial male leopards on your land. But I also remember him as a son of the long late Ostrich Koppies female as well. I don't know what became of his mum mot long after he also became independent from her at about eighteen months to two years old at all, unfortunately. I have no idea if she was killed or moved away elsewhere to establish herself a new territory to have another litter of cubs somewhere else. Apart from having a drink, I also don't know if he was just patrolling his territory and just minding his own business nice and quietly. I hope he sticks around for a good 7 or 8 years or so on your large property. Hope to hear from you shortly. Robert 6.12.24
Interesting to see the wild dogs didn't go for the rhino. They attack in such large gangs i often wondered if they'd try to jump some of the really big critters. Also, now i know that dog packs don't mess with safari vehicles. But again, they act so wild what's to stop them from leaping up and eating peoples' faces? There's always enough of them around and their style is hit, bite and run right? Anothe fine video, thks for sharing. 👍
