I was absolutly humbled by the 2nd math module, so much complicated questions and 33% of the exam was nothing like the practice tests, ALOT of the questions were so time consuming (had to guess 3 questions), however still got a 700 on math. Messed up in the english part on grammar questions and got a 580 on eng
Nice work on the 700! Sounds like you got a particularly rough hard module. That's the thing with this adaptive testing, it's really unpredictable. Two hard modules can be totally different and what's "hard" for one person may not be as hard for another. I'd definitely say take it again, the law of averages will eventually work out for you.
Hello, I just want to thank you for all the hard work you have been doing for us International test takers. I got 1360 on my March D/SAT. It isn't the desired score but I think it's pretty great cuz this was my first SAT.
Thank YOU for sharing, and seriously 1360 for a first time is an excellent result. You can definitely improve on that with a little more practice. Plus, the second time around you just feel more relaxed and that tends to boost your score.
English: 720, Math: 780. I think my module 2s were far more difficult than anything I had ever seen on the practice tests, most of my practice sat scores on the digital and on paper format were an 800 for math, and I was getting about 30 points higher on the English section.
Interesting, I wouldn't be surprised if the hard modules felt harder. Supposedly they also include some "experimental" questions that don't officially count for your score. But still, 1500 is awesome and you should be popping champagne.
English 660, Math 670 Overall 1330. I found both module 2s significantly harder than the first ones. In the first module of math I had 17 minutes to recheck all my answers (I did every question twice from scratch so I doubt I made a mistake there) and for the 2nd one I barely had any time left.
I think your analysis is solid, seems like you would have missed most of your questions on the 2nd module and that's why the score didn't drop much overall, really good result
I've taken the SAT three times in a row, and I find myself perplexed and disheartened by the scoring algorithm. In the June SAT, my math score was 780, despite having all the blocks filled in my score report. However, in my latest attempt, things took a turn for the worse. With only one block incorrect, I experienced a deduction of 120 marks. I must express my frustration; it's challenging to accept these outcomes after putting in so much effort over these three attempts. The English section presents a similar situation. In the October SAT, I had five blocks wrong, resulting in a deduction of 170 marks. This December, with only three blocks incorrect, I still faced a deduction of around 140 marks. From this comparison, I estimate that each block corresponds to only 15-20 points. I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide insights into how the algorithm operates. Addressing and rectifying the numerous flaws in the digital SAT is crucial, particularly for international students like myself who are grappling with the challenges of the system.
Those blocks are approximations for easy visual understanding, but should not be taken as concrete guidance or a specific number of questions wrong. The blocks in the report are not to be used to determine your scores. They simply round to the nearest block based on the percentage of questions in that area that you got correct.
English: 750 Maths: 710 I found English to be slightly easier or just about on par with the practice tests overall (with both modules). The first maths module was around the same level, but the second one had a bunch of hard questions.
Hey Andrew, I just wanted to really thank you for all the free material and class recordings that you have provided. It really helped me improve in English and I went from getting a maximum of 640 in practice tests to 720 on test day. Thank you so very much.
Thank YOU for sharing and for checking out the material, I'm glad it's helped you. You're more than welcome. Sounds like you probably only missed 3-4 questions overall on English which is great!
I took a paper exam and got a 1450 (710E/740M) then I took the digital exam and felt wayyyy worse bc of module 2 but got a 1500(740E/760M). The adaptive testing completely threw me off because I had 24 minutes left of module 1 math but ran out of time on module 2. It seemed that many of my friends felt worse but scored better on digital vs paper.
That matches up with what a lot of my cases said during the transition between 2022-2023. The old paper test had more questions and by not being adaptive, it was basically impossible to get 1500 without getting nearly everything right save for a few. Now you could get a hard module, whiff on half the questions, and still score 1500 if your math was perfect and your first EBRW module was good. It's a weird system but it's definitely more forgiving than in the past for 1300-1500. I find it harder to get those super high scores though since just one mistake can bring you down 30 points in some cases.
1360 - 660 in eng & 700 in Maths - on March 11 DSAT. Maths are lower than expected (had to go to the washroom XD, missed the last 4 questions thus), so thinking of giving a go at it again. Seeing your 'you care about SAT scores way too much', now thinking which DSAT to register for, the one in June or in May cuz I get your idea of working on other parts of your application, essay extracurriculars etc
Eh, maybe get it out of the way and then focus on the rest. Deadline for May is today I believe. 1360 is a really good score and if it was your first test and you had some issues, I wouldn't say it's a bad idea to take it again. Just don't cram for hours every day. Save that time for other parts of the application
August 23, 2024: Just gave Practice test 6 and all the points in the video is still valid.. I ignored the first module and didnt recheck it while did the 2nd module properly taking full time. Made 7 mistakes in module 1 and they literally gave me 550 ..😂
I was really scared about how to improve my English portion. Thank god I found your channel on right time. I am taking my SAT on May. And I really want to improve my scores from 600 to 720 above. I am now confident that I can do it.
Got a 1450, 790 in math and 660 in reading/writing. Surprised with my math score because I KNOW I made at least 3 mistakes in math, 1 in the first module, and 2 in the second module.
Maybe you did better than you thought or got lucky guessing! Although, there are a couple of questions on each test that don't count for your score, at least according to CB. There are "experimental" questions that they test out to see if they want to use them for real in the future. So you may have messed up on those and lost nothing.
I got totally 1270, 800 math and 470 verbal and my 1st module verbal was normal (hard for me beacuse i am bad at verbal) and 2nd module was very easy and i know that i wrote 2nd module very good, beacuse the answers were obvious, but still i have 470
That sounds very similar to the one practice test I did where I had perfect English but was bad in the first half of math and got easy math for the 2nd module. I had 1280 when I did that, I still had a few mistakes on the 2nd math module though. I imagine yours was similar with English and if you started off with a lot of mistakes, you can't recover as many points on the easy module.
Thanks! Planning on running a much more detailed experiment soon to really see if I can narrow down some other factors like % to get hard modules and such
I got a 1450 in SAT just by watching your videos I could barely touch 550 on the English section but your videos helped me score 680 Thank you so much ❤ But i was wondering if it's a good score for top public universities ?
May 6, 2023 Digital SAT I got 780 in both Math and English. Total 1560. I was hoping to get an 800 in math, but I'm not sure what happened. I'm sure I made one mistake in Math. In the older format, one mistake was also expected to get 800.
Got 1470. 680 in english and 790 in maths. English was definitely really tough (the 2nd module at least). It had a lot of difficult to decipher text, and some really wild word/meaning section. My Maths is good, but there's a chance i didn't get the really hard questions for the 2nd module.
You definitely got the hard module if you got 790, no way you get that with an easy module on math. English is tough to say there, sounds like the 2nd module was also difficult and so that's probably where more errors happened but still, really good score overall!
True, definitely possible. That's the thing with this test, even if there is a curve, it's kind of pointless because most people just aren't getting the same test. And even if they pull a certain number of questions from specific categories, you can still get lucky.
@@score-yourcollegecounselor Yeah thats what i'm guessing. We are probably gonna have to wait for 3-4 more test before (well more like if) we can see a trend.
i made the exam in Turkey, was preparing a month before i got 1340. 720 on math section and 620 on the language. i think i do better with the next try but the other section i hard
That's a great score starting out, and you didn't even prepare that long! Definitely will get more next time, keep reading a lot in English to beef up that score.
I'll be entering the Digital SAT of June 3rd in two days and I am ashamed that I discovered your channel so late. I'll be entering another SAT after this one for sure and I will definitely use your videos to practice for it. I'm surprised that you don't get more viewers with such great videos considering a lot of people taking the Digital SAT now... keep it up man really loving it!!
Thanks for the kind words! And hey, better late than never! I'm convinced that because I target international students and tell the truth instead of sensational BS about college admissions that I will never be a huge channel lol but honestly I'd rather work with a small group of awesome people like you
@@score-yourcollegecounselor True words man! Love the resources you put in videos as well. I'll be binge studying on the last day with what you got. Appreciate the work you put in fr
hello, I still didn't took an actual SAT test but I took practice 1 and practice 2 from the practice tests on bluebook and on the first on I got 8 error's on the math section and got 550 for it while in second one I tried to get a lot of errors to see the different and I got 21 error's on the math section most of them on the second part and got 580 for it . so now I'm confused even though I got much less mistakes on the first one my score was lower could you please explain to me why this happened ?
So I think your experiment might be off. You say on test 2 you "tried to get a lot of errors" I'm assuming to see the easy module, but then you say 21 in total and mostly on the 2nd part. I'm wondering if you got the hard module anyway on your 2nd test and that's why it's higher. I would encourage you to try your experiment on the same test to have less variables. And the exact number of mistakes on each module would be useful here to really compare the two.
basically he's saying don't give a sh*t about these analyses, better work your as* off so that you can tackle any type of question, good luck everyone. I'll be back to comment my score here.
I should just change the title of the video lol, great summary. Exactly right, all that you can do is try to reduce how often you make mistakes. Curves and scoring don't matter, because you can't know them before the test anyway. Focus on what you can control
I have the makeup sat tomorrow and I'm freaking out. I usually get stuck between two options and end up picking the wrong option. What should I do? How can I stop being stuck and pick the correct option?
If you get to two options, that's perfectly normal. Don't overthink it and waste too much time. My advice definitely depends on the kind of question you're dealing with, but I think that in general when you get stuck you want to see how many reasons you can find to justify each answer. Pick the one with more support from the rest of the paragraph. If it's vocab/punctuation/grammar and you just don't know, try reading the sentence "out loud in your head" and see which answer feels best and go with that one. You have years of English practice that has developed a certain instinct for the right choice, trust that instinct when you're not sure what the answer is.
I took practice test #1 and I got a 1260. 650 in English and 610 in Math. I had 10 questions wrong in the English section. The majority of them are in the second module since it is the hardest one. And I had 14 wrong on the math section. Mainly because I got 4 of the last 5 questions wrong on the second module since it is the hardest module. And from what I have seen with other people is that on the second module when you gett questions wrong even on the hard ones they mainly cost you around 7-10 points per question. The easier questions will likely be worth 15 or 20 points. Like solving for x on 2x = 20. If you get that wrong that would be worth at least around 20. But the hard ones are a maximum of 10.
Hard module questions definitely seem to punish you less. From what I've seen in practices, if you have a hard module, you're almost certain to get 600+ in that section. I have seen some hard module questions in English take off 20 though in my practice sessions, so even one mistake can cost you.
I will get SAT score about 2-3 days after from today. My goal is to get 1220 to meet the requirement from Conditional offer, and I feel like I got 4-8 questions wrong for Math section. (module 2 was def harder than 1) + (high possibillty that all the wrongs will be in module 2) While I am not sure about English that I dont see much difference with module 1 and 2. Both seemed to be OK-level, but I believe module 2 was slightly harder than module 1. I am just curious that if I really got 4-8 wrongs for math module 2, what would be the reasonable english score to get total of 1220? I just get the comment down due to my curiosity, and Thank you for the great video!
Well if you got 4-8 wrong on math, then you'd probably have 640+ or so. It depends on which questions you've missed. So figure another 600 on English to get to where you want to be.
@@score-yourcollegecounselor Sir, I did terrible for English that I feel ashamed to tell you. I can just tell I got 1170 for total and was above average for Math. I got another SAT on Nov 4, and is there any possible way to increase my english score by 50-70 points in two-weeks.
Thank you so much! HOw many questions can I get wrong in the first English module and still get a harder seond module? And what's the highest possible score given I am provided with easy second module?Just a rough estimat would help
From what I can tell, around 7-8 errors seems to change the 2nd module. Most people claiming they got a hard module tend to have scores that are at least 600+ while people with an easy module rarely seem to get above 600, so it seems to me that the first module punishes mistakes more.
How many mistakes would you have on your 750s in practice? Because 2-3 just can't bring you down to 670, that's too far. You may have accidentally mismarked a question or two that you didn't realize.
I can't believe I got 680 on Maths (lower than my ERW). I was getting nothing lower than 700 on all the practice tests and the real test even seemed easier. It just creates this uncertainty that my test was marked wrong. Is such thing even possible for the DSAT?
Could have just been one extra mistake more than normal. Frustrating for sure. I don't think it could have been mismarked, but you may have accidentally marked the wrong answer too. I could see that happening more easily on DSAT since you're not filling in a bubble on a sheet, could have misclicked without realizing it. There are also keyboard shortcuts that can mark answers for you and if you accidentally hit those keys (unlikely) you could have made some mistakes that way as well
You are actually mistaken. All questions have the same point. However the first module has a different curve from the second module. To make clear test this: first make mistake on Question 54 then make a mistake a question 53. They will be the same. However as i mentioned there is actually a two curve system. First module + second module= the whole exam.
That's an interesting proposition and one that I'd like to test out. However, I think it would be more effective to test it on the first module since, if I'm doing everything perfectly otherwise, my 2nd module would basically all be hard questions that wouldn't make much of a difference. If you've already done this and could show me, I'd love to see it. Hit me up on the whatsapp link at prepwithscore.com. I may experiment with this more myself. If that can be proven then I'll happily publish another video and correct myself, and I appreciate you pointing out this possibility that I hadn't considered.
On Pilot Test January 28, I thought I was going to have a below average score. But I got 620 English & 600 Math. On March 11, I got 610 English & 640 Math.
Then you've got even more time to get that up if you want! Looking good, I'd say give it another shot in 11th once you've learned more from your classes and see what happens
Hey, I am really afraid now. I took my dsat today. I did good in module 1 but i got easy module 2 in English section. How much maximum can i get if i do good in module 2? Please respond
First off, don't be afraid about it. Remember that most universities don't care that much. Now, if you felt like it got a lot easier on the 2nd part, from what I've seen it's hard to get over 600 with an easy module. It seems like 400-600 is the easy module range and 600-800 is the hard module range, but there's definitely some variance between tests.
Please make more university application process videos! I'm taking the makeup SAT on 25th and after that I need to get cracking on my universities...and bro stop dissing college board 😂😂😂
Right now I solved all of the questions on the bluebook, and even i literally memorized. I solved all of the Khan academy materials the questions are turning to be the same right now because there is no more questions. I would like to ask what can I do more to study for the exam right now, I am really confused I can't find anything else to study
Got 1350. 610 english 740 math Thank you soo much for the lessons. Since the exam is new there werent any books for me to buy and study and even if there were it would take 30 days for me to get the book because I live in turkey. Your coure helped me more than you can imagine
Let's goooo! Nice result, and thanks! I'm glad it was able to help you out. I feel like all you brave international test takers should just get 100 free points because you had no books, you had barely any material, all you had was determination and commitment, and I respect the hell out of you for that.
I got my 1340 and receive a merit scholarship. You helped me a lot and I really need to say: without you, it can not be done. Thanks for all :)))))) ❤❤❤❤
I got 1350. I was expecting to do better. My math score is 690💀 Idk how i got 690. After the test, I felt like math went pretty well. I was usually getting 750+ on math. My minimum score was 700 without prep💀 I’ve registered for the may SAT. Hopefully, I will score higher
Hey 1350 is not bad at all. Maybe you mismarked something by accident, sometimes those buttons are close enough together that you can slip up and not realize it. It's easier to mess up your answer choice than it was filling in bubbles on a sheet I think. But you'll get a better score in May for sure
@@score-yourcollegecounselor thanks for support What would you recommend? My math is pretty good. I assume I did bad particularly on that test, but overall my math is good. How can I improve my verbal in 40 days? I want to score 700+ verbal and 770+ math in May
Read. Read as much as possible. Articles, short stories, books, whatever. Read. Trust me, when you read a lot, you get faster at reading in general, you get exposed to more paragraphs so you get more comfortable with structure, and you pick up new vocab.
If they were the "experimental" questions (there are supposedly 2 in English and 2 in math) then it's possible you could have hit 1600. If they were standard questions I'd expect around 1510-1560
Interesting. Seems like a lot to get only 10 off. Did you get some score report or were two of those 'Progress bar' things low? Just curious how you'd know
If you can still access that I'd love to see a screenshot or something. Others have suggested that there are two curves, one for each module, and your experience would support that. I'm looking into it further. On prepwithscore.com there's a whatsapp link and you could hit me up there. If not, no worries!
I got 1240 [690 English, 550 math], I could have done much more but I only did a practice test the day before the exam. Anyway, I’m satisfied because I already got into university so I don’t think I’ll ever need my SAT score for anything (Italy)
Good question. I don't know enough about math to get a 790 but there could be a different points structure on math. I've only really tested this with EBRW
@@score-yourcollegecounselor i got a 1000 it was my first time and i got the easy module 2 in both english and math which i was concerned about since it is adaptive
hi. I got 1280 on March SAT 680 math and 600 verbal but I want to see my mistakes because I thought I made so few mistakes in math but i receive 680 and also in mock exams I got everytime 750+ . do you know where we can see our mistakes?
1280 is a solid score! As far as I know, they aren't giving people the information about the mistakes because they're going to reuse these questions in other exams. I'm meeting up with my students soon to see if we can find anything.
Hello, I got 800 Math score on my last SAT practice test, but I made 2 mistakes. Is it possible to get perfect score even if you have made a few mistakes?
So it is possible because in the real SAT they include 1-2 "experimental" questions and the practice tests seem to simulate that too. Experimental questions don't count towards your score.
I scored 1200. Its soo bad for me. I need to score 1400+. My math is good overall, but l have problems with r/w section. What are your advice for improving my score?
In general you want to focus on the kinds of questions that are giving you the most difficulties. READ A LOT!!! Reading improves your reading speed and comprehension and gets your vocabulary up too. Can't emphasize that enough, if you're low in the English portion you want to read in English every day.
Whatever you think you'd like honestly. Check out some classic literature, helps with those literature passages too on the test! I always liked Frankenstein (skip like most of the first 2-3 chapters though it's a bit slow to get going) or some novellas like Old Man and the Sea or Of Mice and Men, those don't take long. 1984 is amazing, Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart is great. And also read some news every day in English. I like reading Vox, Al Jazeera, Big Think, and Fox Business. Take note when you see punctuation in use, that can help you get better with those questions too.
I haven't been able to determine that exactly. I've done several practice tests multiple times to experiment and it seems to be around 5 or 6, but I still need to keep collecting data to really determine this. I'm getting my research team on the task for the May SAT
7. you need to ensure at least 7 incorrect answers to get the higher module. If you incorrect more than 7 incorrect answers, then unfortunately, you will get the easier module.
Hi, Will the results of digital SAT be mailed to us since there is a section for mailing address in which we are supposed to give ZIP code and address? Alternatively, can the online score reports be used in college application, are they legit and recognized by universities (online score reports)? Does digital SAT give any weight to college application and being accepted? Thanks in advance!
They don't mail results, I think the mailing address is more for their internal data and for the credit card payment. As with all SAT scores, you will self-report on your application and then you will have to tell College Board to send the official results to universities later. So they will always need the official results sent directly from College Board in the end. And the digital SAT DOES improve your chances in some cases, however it depends on the school's policy. Obviously there are some "optional" schools that aren't really that optional, and there are some others that don't care. And there are schools that require SAT always.
@@score-yourcollegecounselor Can I just use the pdf score results for collage application without using collage board's score recipient service because I have taken SAT in March and now, you have to pay in order to use this service (there is a fee) ? Thank you for your response!
They won't accept those as official results in most cases. There is a fee from College Board unfortunately, but that's required to send the official results.
I got 1480 (English 720, Math 760). That's.. lower than I expected... getting a few questions wrong lowered my score so much, and I feel like getting a good score with digital sat is harder than the previous one. When I looked at the performance bars(?) divided into 7 parts that show my performance of different contents, I think I lost 2 questions for math and around 3~4 for english.. but honestly, I'm not sure how to interpret the bars. Is there any way that I can know how many questions I got wrong..? or should I just assume it..?
It's hard to interpret those bars but I was thinking about making a video about that. They're hideously vague. And I agree that it is a bit harder to get a really high score on this exam because few mistakes can drop you hard. 3-4 mistakes is 720 when that could have been 740 or even 750 on the old test.
Given the sheer number of applicants, somebody out there took the same test as you. But with adaptive testing they can make thousands of combinations of tests that only share a few questions. But the fact that they still limit testing rooms to 25 students is telling. If nobody's test is the same, then why not have massive exam halls with more people? You could just have more proctors in one room.
If the questions felt easy then you probably got easier modules on the 2nd half, so you really need to try to get more right on the first half. Keep reviewing the different types of questions to see what you are having more difficulty with and practice those more! And read in English in your free time, trust me it helps so much
I got 1430 (710 in english and 720 in maths) kind of sad because i expected better but its my first try so ig its alright. Will practice more and hopefully get a better score next time!!! Ameen
1430 on your first run is awesome! Don't feel bad about that at all, your scores in both sections are over 700 so you're already in great shape. 2nd time will be even better!
You do a full practice test in the Bluebook app and about 5 minutes later you get the results. You can retake them as much as you want and that's how I experimented with this
Some people actually told me that Khan Academy had different correct answers from the same tests as Bluebook on a couple of questions, I haven't verified that but clearly things haven't been very organized. I wonder how much time they had to actually prepare material.
I got 690 in maths(harder module 2) and 590 in r/w(easy module 2)....i dont know how can i get 590 if I get easy module 2 because in bluebook practice test the maximum we can get after getting easy module 2 is 550 or 560 but somehow I got 590.is 1280 a good score?
I think 590 with an easy module is possible, I haven't tested every permutation but it seems like around 600 is kind of the soft cap for easy modules. 1280 is not bad at all by the way! Especially if this was your first test you've still got plenty of room to improve, and 1280 will be seen well by lots of universities.
It depends on where those wrong answers happened. I'm thinking maybe you did really well on the first module and then got a hard one that you struggled with, so that's probably where more of the mistakes were, which hurt you less
I'll be honest, that kind of jump in English takes a lot of work. You might be able to get there, but it would take a lot of work, and honestly I don't think it would necessarily be the best idea. The SAT is not as important as many people think in the US, and that time might be better spent working on essays, getting good letters from teachers, and researching universities so you can show them that you are really interested But I think you can improve quite a bit from where you are now! Give the test another try and work at it a few hours a week. But don't go crazy trying to get a super high score.
It's possible the one you got wrong was one of the "experimental" questions. They have a couple on each test that aren't graded but actually are meant to evaluate potential types of questions for future tests.
This sounds bad. If you get a really hard one wrong, you lose points. You could lose more and more. If someone gets easy questions, they can gain on you. So it seems.
Not really. Getting the easy module means your score is pretty much capped at 600 because you've already whiffed on so many in the first module. If you're getting the hard module, you're almost certainly going to have a higher score than someone who got an easy module.
Definitely possible if you only miss questions on the hard module and/or have some of the 'experimental' questions that don't count towards your score.
Was grammar part harder than the practices?
Hello, I just want to thank you for all the hard work you have been doing for us International test takers. I got 1360 on my March D/SAT. It isn't the desired score but I think it's pretty great cuz this was my first SAT.
Thank YOU for sharing, and seriously 1360 for a first time is an excellent result. You can definitely improve on that with a little more practice. Plus, the second time around you just feel more relaxed and that tends to boost your score.
Can you see how many questions you got incorrect?
Exactly. How many questions did you get incorrect and correct?
@@churchillobiakalusi1593 I think you cant
@@enesmahmutkulak yeah. I don’t know why CB wouldn’t disclose that but.
But still, 1500 is awesome and you should be popping champagne.
how many mistakes did you make in your english section?
English: 750
Maths: 710
I found English to be slightly easier or just about on par with the practice tests overall (with both modules). The first maths module was around the same level, but the second one had a bunch of hard questions.
Awesome score, congratulations!
how many mistakes did you make on your english test?
Hey Andrew, I just wanted to really thank you for all the free material and class recordings that you have provided. It really helped me improve in English and I went from getting a maximum of 640 in practice tests to 720 on test day. Thank you so very much.
Thank YOU for sharing and for checking out the material, I'm glad it's helped you. You're more than welcome. Sounds like you probably only missed 3-4 questions overall on English which is great!
Was test day easier than practices?
If you were to get the harder second module but get every one of those questions wrong, what score should you expect?
thanks for the video you are the best!!!
Thank you for checking it out!
How many questions did you miss in the English?
August 23, 2024: Just gave Practice test 6 and all the points in the video is still valid.. I ignored the first module and didnt recheck it while did the 2nd module properly taking full time. Made 7 mistakes in module 1 and they literally gave me 550 ..😂

So you may have messed up on those and lost nothing.
how many mistakes did you make in your english section?
Excellent explanation of a complicated change in the system.
Thanks! Planning on running a much more detailed experiment soon to really see if I can narrow down some other factors like % to get hard modules and such
I got a 1450 in SAT just by watching your videos
I could barely touch 550 on the English section but your videos helped me score 680
Thank you so much ❤

May 6, 2023 Digital SAT I got 780 in both Math and English. Total 1560. I was hoping to get an 800 in math, but I'm not sure what happened. I'm sure I made one mistake in Math. In the older format, one mistake was also expected to get 800.
Yeah from what I can see now on this new version one mistake knocks you down points no matter what.
how many mistakes did you make in your english section?
Got 1470. 680 in english and 790 in maths.
@@score-yourcollegecounselorI meant that since the digital sat is randomized, I may have lucked out and gotten the "easier" hard questions
same score as you, almost identical splits, I agree module 2 of reading was brutal asf

What happens if I get a stupid, hard module 1 question wrong? Will I still lose 20 points?
hello,
I still didn't took an actual SAT test but I took practice 1 and practice 2 from the practice tests on bluebook and on the first on I got 8 error's on the math section and got 550 for it while in second one I tried to get a lot of errors to see the different and I got 21 error's on the math section most of them on the second part and got 580 for it .
so now I'm confused even though I got much less mistakes on the first one my score was lower could you please explain to me why this happened ?
So I think your experiment might be off. You say on test 2 you "tried to get a lot of errors" I'm assuming to see the easy module, but then you say 21 in total and mostly on the 2nd part. I'm wondering if you got the hard module anyway on your 2nd test and that's why it's higher.
I would encourage you to try your experiment on the same test to have less variables. And the exact number of mistakes on each module would be useful here to really compare the two.
@@score-yourcollegecounselor sure I will try that and update you , thank you !
basically he's saying don't give a sh*t about these analyses, better work your as* off so that you can tackle any type of question, good luck everyone.
@@score-yourcollegecounselor ok thanks.
(module 2 was def harder than 1) + (high possibillty that all the wrongs will be in module 2)
While I am not sure about English that I dont see much difference with module 1 and 2.
I got up to 10 wrong in Sec 1 before Sec 2 dropped to easy. It seems we get more points off for easier questions, though.
I got 670 in maths where as i always got 750 plus in the blue book. I am sure that maximum 2 to 3 mistakes in the maths section.
Wait. If the second section is very hard, does that mean the score will be less punishing? Or?
On Pilot Test January 28, I thought I was going to have a below average score.
But I got 620 English & 600 Math.
On March 11, I got 610 English & 640 Math.

Yeah. Most times, we don’t really know what we’ve failed.
@@score-yourcollegecounselor thank you so much. Which books do you recommend?
Whatever you think you'd like honestly. Check out some classic literature, helps with those literature passages too on the test! I always liked Frankenstein (skip like most of the first 2-3 chapters though it's a bit slow to get going) or some novellas like Old Man and the Sea or Of Mice and Men, those don't take long. 1984 is amazing, Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart is great.
And also read some news every day in English. I like reading Vox, Al Jazeera, Big Think, and Fox Business. Take note when you see punctuation in use, that can help you get better with those questions too.
@@score-yourcollegecounselor thank you soo much. I will read these books absolutely. I believe that would help me a lot:)

7. you need to ensure at least 7 incorrect answers to get the higher module. If you incorrect more than 7 incorrect answers, then unfortunately, you will get the easier module.
What’s the pros for getting a harder section 2? Isn’t that supposed to be worse? Or am I not getting something right?
Hi,
Will the results of digital SAT be mailed to us since there is a section for mailing address in which we are supposed to give ZIP code and address?
@@score-yourcollegecounselor
Can I just use the pdf score results for collage application without using collage board's score recipient service because I have taken SAT in March and now, you have to pay in order to use this service (there is a fee) ?

It's hard to interpret those bars but I was thinking about making a video about that. They're hideously vague. And I agree that it is a bit harder to get a really high score on this exam because few mistakes can drop you hard. 3-4 mistakes is 720 when that could have been 740 or even 750 on the old test.
So you're telling me everyone in a particular test center has different questions!!!!???
Not exactly everyone, but most people will have different question papers. There is a small chance that 2 people might get very similar papers.
I got 540 in English and 550 in maths the questions were easy but I could not get a good score please help I want admission in a good college
If the questions felt easy then you probably got easier modules on the 2nd half, so you really need to try to get more right on the first half. Keep reviewing the different types of questions to see what you are having more difficulty with and practice those more! And read in English in your free time, trust me it helps so much
I find someone of my category 😅
I got 510 in english, the second module was easier. 590 in maths, the second module was harder.
Thanks for sharing! 1100 is not a bad result at all for a first test
@@score-yourcollegecounselor thank you so much!!!
how did u try the practice test on college board and get the score?
You do a full practice test in the Bluebook app and about 5 minutes later you get the results. You can retake them as much as you want and that's how I experimented with this
if we need to figure out everything , then what is khan academy doing 😑. I got 540 in English 😭,740 in math
Some people actually told me that Khan Academy had different correct answers from the same tests as Bluebook on a couple of questions, I haven't verified that but clearly things haven't been very organized. I wonder how much time they had to actually prepare material.
Isn't it good score?
1280? You playing?
I got 750 on math with 6 errors on the second hard module..
How do you know you got 6 errors? That seems highly unlikely. Maybe you guessed right on some you thought you were going to get wrong.
Im talking bout the practice test on bluebook
Sorry for not making it clear
@@score-yourcollegecounselor wait you don’t see your errors and corrects when the score is posted?
On my math section I got 20 answers correct and and 24 incrorrect, yet still got a 520 . how????
It depends on where those wrong answers happened. I'm thinking maybe you did really well on the first module and then got a hard one that you struggled with, so that's probably where more of the mistakes were, which hurt you less
English:390, Math:530
Gotta work on that English part! Although, you can also look at applying optional. The SAT isn't as important as it used to be.
@@score-yourcollegecounselor ok, thank you so much, how long time could I get 600 English, and 700 math?
I'll be honest, that kind of jump in English takes a lot of work. You might be able to get there, but it would take a lot of work, and honestly I don't think it would necessarily be the best idea. The SAT is not as important as many people think in the US, and that time might be better spent working on essays, getting good letters from teachers, and researching universities so you can show them that you are really interested
But I think you can improve quite a bit from where you are now! Give the test another try and work at it a few hours a week. But don't go crazy trying to get a super high score.
I got 800 in Math with one question wrong in the second module. Im sure I got the harder modules and I got wrong in one of the last questions.
DSAT 6th May for your information. I remembered the question and asked my teacher after I took the test
780/800 in maths with 3 incorrect?!
Definitely possible if you only miss questions on the hard module and/or have some of the 'experimental' questions that don't count towards your score.
@@score-yourcollegecounselor well I just hope I do better in reading part. with 12 innocorrect i got 510/800
