Just gonna drop that the ending of this game was one of those big shockers that I feel like no one saw coming. Very few games have become legendary for their climactic moments like this one and KOTOR 1 did. Also in it's first release there really wasn't an online presence for guides, mostly just word of mouth and I remember how many people were convinced that there was ONE more Colossus you needed to find, which gave this cool mysterious nature to the whole experience since so many people were convinced that it was real. That sort of reminds me of when BOTW came out and so many people talked to me about things I hadn't seen and so many things I had but they hadn't and we all thought we were lying to each other because of how awe inspiring the games are.

It definitely earned its legendary status along with KOTOR and BOTW

I was going to unsub if you gave it anything less than a 10😂 nah jk. I played this on PS2 when it first released and was blown away. Then years later when the remaster released i had so much fun playing it with my daughter. An absolute masterpiece all around. Simple concept, gorgeous graphics, amazing soundtrack. The sense of scale is like no other, you truly feel so small in comparison to the colossi. Easily top 5 of all time for me. Sorry, had to geek out on this one!

I just sold my PS4 to build a PC and this was the only game on there that I didn't get to play that I wanted to. Maybe I will try the original instead. Were there any aspects of it that seems dated now?

From the PS4 version, not at all. Actually I’d double down and say it seemed like a game that could be released today and get GOTY.
