Well done lostdigger. There is a solo, unsupported bike race each year Fremantle to Sydney. Will update with the info from here on the group page. Yalata was not operating at all last year & Yellowdine (between Southern Cross & Coolgardie) burned down in January. It's a fantastic trip on bicycle. I'm assuming you had tailwind as we always get headwinds going the other way. 🍕🚴🍍
Hi, I’ve hosted people doing this race when I lived in Fremantle. Great ride, you get to see so much more. I was going West and the winds where kind to me blowing SSE had them on my left shoulder until last day when temps got into the high 30’s, the winds started blowing SW that was rough like opening an oven door. Predominant the winds in March for the race gets WSW so should be good.
So many caves to explore! I’ve done 3 in the last 24 hrs from your recommendations. Those caves in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos should be interesting. Have 3-5 more caves I want to explore in Thailand 🇹🇭 in the next 2 days
Thanks to your physically hard journey, I got to view it from the comforts of my couch in Rhode Island, USA. I hope you will always treasure your trip on the road. Stay safe, Laura
I drove this with my brother in law 2019 amazing trip. I have always wanted to cycle it after reading Cold Beers and Crocodiles. Maybe when I retire hopefully.
I love cycling, but this is on another level. Kudos to you mate. 👍✊
Lots more to come I think I’ve only done 5000 km another 11000 more 🤪
