Thanks Steve, another great VLOG. I could talk more about 'greatness' but, instead, I clicked thumbs up on about 50 comments below. 11:05 Neds Creek Road. I took that road from Wiluna to where you are at the intersection. A local at Wiluna gave me a tip that it cuts about ?80 Km off the black top trip. Or was that the dirt road by-pass to Meekatharra? I had pulled into Wiluna and instead of refuelling, I travelled about 15 Km down the Gunbarrel to stay at an old grape farm. Got a donga, showers, flushing toilet, café with three meals a day, camp kitchen, TV, green grass and free Internet ... for $15 a night! They now make their money maintaining the road with their earth moving equipment. They also maintained the road to the third well (not Well 3a) on the CSR. During the night I lost the Internet, no problem I thought. Going back to Wiluna I found the town shuttered because the diesel generators had run out of fuel - so no power. Fortunately, I was able to slam 50l of diesel into the Touareg giving me 75 from a 100l tank. But the dramas didn't end there. Up the road there was culvert rebuilding. They were laying down multi-angular 'shrapnel' the size of my fist which need a good going over by a sheep's foot roller. One of the hands asked me to wait and they'd crush a path for me. He said half an hour but after 20 mins he asked me to take a look and it was suitable. As soon as I was past, they covered the path with more shrapnel! But there's more! Because the road is undulating in parts and the smaller mine vehicles like to use the centre of the road, I had to stop and put my sand flag up to avoid head-ons! 12:25 Army Training mate. A quicker escape for flooding or fire. And if one is disoriented 😉 drive the way it's pointed ... Anyway, see you on your next trip 👍👍
Another great series makes me realize i work too much. Thanks again for putting all that together for us to enjoy. I will do the same as Stuart below and click on 50 thumbs up.

Hi guys, wow keep up the good work it is scary. When you know your back bearing has collapsed. I was riding with the Vietnam veterans motorbike club and we went down to Canberra for the reopening of the Vietnam veterans memorial inside and on the way back I was probably 10 minutes away from home, and my rear bearing collapsed on my moto Gazz we were sitting on at least 100 k’s an hour plus on the way down and on the way back and if it happened at that speed I don’t think I’d be here today anyway keep up the good work guys once again , better to be safe than sorry , Cliff from Logan City, Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺 I’m on the big island 🏝️
What a great series...Thanks so much for taking the time to share it with us. Sad to hear the Sandstone Pub has closed...could be the beginning of the end for the town
Brilliant series Steve, a blessing too may I add. Truly awesome pictures of the outback and great to see parts of Oz we’ll never get to. Such a great morning when one of your vids pops up. Many many thanks for editing to tell the story of your trip in such an engaging way.
Western Australian roads are just amazing…your unsealed back roads make our NSW sealed ‘highways’ look like goat tracks!! 😳😳 Thanks for sharing your trip! 😃👍
Big thank you !!!. These video's are for me fantastic. I have owned bikes and been in remote Australia as a remote Aboriginal community volunteer lots about as I get older that is not an option so enjoying through you blokes from my metro Melbourne arm chair is pure magic. Please keep it up. Your efforts bring great pleasure. Thank you and Chris.
Thanks so much for making the effort to document your experiences Steve, loved this WA loop series, gives good insight to the countryside over your way. Take care
Bloody ripper of a trip Steve. Love your drone shots of evening and morning; the golden hours. Paynes Find in wildflower bloom is a picture, the everlastings are extraordinary, I love the wheatbelt at that time. Well done and your editing gets better and better!
As an Older Biker Steve thanks mate for some of the Memories from Years gone by how things have changed and love how you guys are as one on these journeys as well. Makes it a lot easier know with things open as they are and like you said some have closed just due to the lack of People now days wanting to do the hard yards in the Outback. Keep safe and look forward to the next Adventure.
Thanks for taking us along for the ride. These are probably my favourite videos to watch on all of TH-cam other than Malcolm Douglas. Hope you had/have fun in South Korea too mate. 👍
Oh so sad. The end of another excellent adventure 😢 Thanks for making the effort to produce this. I know what a pain it is to film and edit this stuff.
Loved this episode, so many memories. Did the Marble Bar to Nulagine with my old man end of June, the corregations were shocking, bought my 1ton Holden Ute from Dandaraga in 1988 (the first station south of Sandstone closed for many years thx to mining) and they were just resurfacing the road from the Paynes Find road house to the hwy when we left, truck parking wasn’t allowed in the normal spot, love the country around there
What a great adventure you have had. Great scenery and the photography has been superb. I traveled the Canning Stock Route a few years ago with Outback Spirit, and ended at Wiluna, then traveled to Newman where we flew to Perth, then back home to New Zealand. I love the Outback, and have been over 6 times now doing more as I can. Thanks for showing us around.
Great series of videos Steve, very enjoyable to watch! @ 12:15 you mention your desire / need to face your bike back to the direction you'd entered from; It's a military thing that's bred into you ( a bit like being punctual.) Also undertaking fire control in regional areas we were also taught to face our trucks & machinery into the direction we'd entered from for a quick & safe exit from danger. Looking forward to your next adventure!
Great stuff Steve, another fantastic series of the Aussie outback with “real” people, real experiences, real dramas. I think we need to do a Go Fund Me so we can get Tom a new bike getting a bit sick of seeing what’s under that seat and tank 😂. Looking forward to the next one, stay safe.👍
Thanks again for a great series Steve. I remember Willuna from the late 80s on that trip I did with Chris. OH, that reminds me I must ring him about that airstrip. Willuna back then was the servo and the pub and that's it. Lots of streets with slabs but no businesses or houses. Stay safe mate.
Fantastic set of rides and 6000k +/-- covered.. Gawd the 650 whistle & the tank and seat comes off. Bloody bolts must be worn from in/out. Time for a new bike. Gotta love the 16 sprocket upgrade & would make a huge difference of revs, fuel burn etc. Onya lads.. 22 days of mostly bush camps.. Cheers..
👏 Thnx for sharing another epic journey. Such stunning country, grt yarn along the way and innovative mechanics. Not many dirt roads left is there. After a long stint @ Nabalek mine in Arnhem Land, not having had enuf of remote work, on our R&R we would head out from Darwin in a mini moke, me on a CX500, thru amazing country in the 80s behind Pine Creek now Litchfield NP so glad we got there b4 the madness. Counting down to the next series 😎
Glad you enjoyed it! A Mini Moke lol. Great off road vehicle. If you got stuck, two blokes could lift it up, turn it around and drive out. Thanks for sharing.
Great adventure Steve, I always feel a little down when they come to an end, so already looking forward to your next trip. Thanks for sharing a wonderful series.
G'day mate[s]. I've been fortunate enough to join you from chapter 7. What a bloody great way to see the country. All this distance and one major problem. By geez that's not bad. Great effort of the 4 of yuz'. I'm going to have to go back and watch all the other episodes. Looks too good to not watch. Safe travels blokes.
You never fail to make these trips enjoyable and a pleasure to watch I can imagine you were glad to make it home after such a long ride Big thanks Steve
sad to see this is the last of the episodes for this series Steve absolutely loved it, think I've got the nicknames almost sorted now "Chainless Chris" "Broken Leg Tom" and "Drive Shaft Steve" just missing the fella whom smashed his rim up and caught the flat "Mud Guard JP" ? 🤣🤣
Outstanding Steve. The last 2 bush camps looks great. Your drone works adds a fantastic dimension to it all. Thanks for all the amazing efforts with all this Series Steve. Loved it. Looked like a great bunch to ride with. Regards.
Fantastic series to watch I have f650gs and am starting to do adventure riding done years of dirtbike riding but love adventure so this is great to watch cheers mate.
@@IanGrant-y2p It’s a throwback to Covid…cashed up Seniors were forced to stay within Australia and they actually realised that there is so much to see and do without travelling overseas. Another great series Steve. I love the drone shots of the vastness of your surroundings during the trip. What’s the plan for the big BMW it never misses a beat even with high ks. good add for the horizontal twin. 👍

It was sad to see, but it's a shame for the town. Hopefully, the town will bounce back.

Sad about the pub from 1907 closing. The drone shot at 15mins 45secs is mesmerizing... gives you a sense of the vastness of that wilderness
