Wow! These hidden features and hidden safety features are really amazing! And yeah that's why Acura Integra is the North American Car of the year 2023!
Local dealer has a ‘24 in black at $300 below MSRP. It’s really nice. $53k is a lot when the Type-R is $47k. I agree it’s more “grownup” that the CTR, and the ride isn’t as aggressive. Thanks for this video! You were right: haven’t seen any of these tips!
Just got a few of those shirts from Honda Vintage culture to go with my 2025. The illuminated A is a no go. But the jury is still out on the door sills and Marque projector.
I have the A-Spec with Tech and learned from this video what exactly the trunk button does, and I didn't know that the parking brake releases automatically. Thanks Jason.
@@XeroFailGames haha I usually do, but this time around I was so busy when I got the car so I literally did not have the luxury of time to check all that 😂
Thanks Jason. I wish there was a trunk release button or button on fob actually open trunk. Beside buttons on trunk release, I see 2 tabs and I wonder if for draining water and position to stay open. I bought mine in April 1st in Toronto and trunk would not open till temperatures were back in plus and sun warm it up
@@jjacob25101 I own a 23 Integra a spec tech. I know the little issues and how they cheaped out on things. I even had a 22 civic before it. They are basically the same car just with some slight alteration. The type s is too expensive for what it is. For the price they are asking I would rather go get a BMW or even a Mercedes. For the price they ask I could go get real luxury and the same or better performance. I get that some will pay to get it but they are paying into Acura’s delusion.
Just got and ASpec Tech with 6MT. Two things that annoy me about the car: 1. No Homelink (inexcusable for Acura especially when the Civic Sport Touring has it) and 2. No rear wiper -- inexcusable for a hatchback/liftback. Other than those two items, I really like the car.
Great Video. Question for you. If i was to buy a car, and i had to choose between the Honda Type-R and the Integra Type-S, what would you recommend. Is the extra money worth it for the Integra. What is your honest opinion. Thanks
I have a Honda Civic Type-R 2023. Does the emergency brake feature work the same on that car as this one? It works when I do it in reverse but not when I do it in drive. Also, why didn't Honda include the Tire pressure feature in the FL5? Love the video and you did highlight features no other TH-camr mentioned. Good job. Do you have one for the FL5? Thanks.
💬 Overall, these are not exclusive to the Type-S. Nevertheless, I think there are a couple more items for review that I would love to see elaboration on: 1) The drawn-out process of completely shutting off Traction-control instead of "Reduced." (Maybe a Type-S exclusive, not certain.) 2) The "Driver 1" mode in "Vehicle settings!" I've been occasionally trying to figure out how I can setup a separate profile for my wife. I mistakenly was able to customize the name and settings but it disappeared and couldn't remember what I did.
@@TheKingkingg Oh, I didn't mean the seats, lol.. I meant the setting in "Vehicle Settings" on the infotainment screen. It looks like you can set the car up to have a different driver-profile that holds all different settings of the entire car.
I got you! Just shut the car off, press Unlock on the key fob you want to set, then start the car. Then set all your vehicle settings. after you are done shut the cat off and do the same with the other remote. (both keys can be with you, its the unlock button that is the trick!!)
How do I turn the volume down for alerts, like say I am listening to Sirius xm sat radio, and have android auto running google maps and on top of that I get an alert that my wife has texted, I have options, reply, listen, mute, but the initial alert, that chime, is very loud, I want to turn it down, but I can't find a setting for it.
The window down feature is great, my car has it, however on feature mine has that I didn't see on this Acura is if the windows are down and I lock the car they automatically go up. So if I get out of the car and my kid left the window down I don't need to go turn on the car to pull the window up. Strange that this car will open the windows but not close them from the fob.
Wait hold up … Assistsnt brakes or reduce throttle does it auto clutch in because if u go to slow u can stall and jump .. if u close enough u can still hit that car or object … 🤔🤔 just a thought 🤷🏾♂️
It is kind of bad that you cannot turn off the headlights. When entering military bases at night, you are supposed to turn off the headlights as you approach the military police gate.
Yes, just put your right foot on the brake and your left on the clutch and it will start up again. BTW, the Type S only comes with manual transmission. Regular Integra it's an option.
God bless the 90's & my dc2 integra for being able to turn my headlights on or off entirely without any automation or override any thing that gives the car more control than driver is not a feature but a hindrance. If I blow by a cop doing double the speed limit on the highway & that cop is parked on the side then pulls out to pursue I need/want the ability to kill all visible lights on the car headlights brake lights etc 2 clicks back all off no interference few lane changes speed up or even switch to opposite far lane and slow then turn back on lights when safely lost the tail / blend in with other traffic even on poorly lit highway can separate turn on just high beams or just fog lights while tail lights are off so I can see ahead but cop chasing can't see where I went and /or if I've taken an exit/flipped a u turn/pulled off etc
When these first hit the streets, people told me they look so much better in person and at the time i have never seen one in person. I see these all the time in my area, and nothing is different.. we’ve been seeing these “integras” for years already with TLX and iLX badges on them already 😅
Screw this car and its dealers. So over priced. I configured a BMW 240i for 54k.Inline 6 x drive would destroy this front wheel drive civic based nonsense.

Great video! Quick question. How do I program a new oem keyfob to my type s and connect it.
Unfortunately the dealership has to program that new key fob
Great review Jason.
thank you so much

Got mine a few weeks ago, didn't know about the pre-lock, emergency gas lid opener, etc. Thanks for the tips, very useful!
Very cool & thanks for Staying #InTheKnow
How much did you pay for it
I really preferred this car over the Type R.
This is a legit question...do people not just tinker with their Cars and like look all through it and sit in every seat? Or am I a weirdo?

yeah; it's very counter intuitive that the fob trunk button does not actually open the trunk... the button it's pointless
Thank you, i dont always get to check out the display settings or UI on test drives. At least there are controls outside the screen unlike tbe Golf R
its an amazing car and is so beautiful! I feel however the pricing turns a lot of people off of it.
The price is expected. You have to pay to play. Or get an A-Spec Technology Package. Stealership scalping fee is another story.

True
Funnily enough my local Honda Dealer marked up 2023 hatch back civic up to $38,000 while most integras I’ve seen are only at 35,000
