    I appreciate your smooth, slow commentary. It gives a first chance to absorb all this. I’ve been producing professional television programs for years, and I’m familiar with most camera settings, including black magic as we have those in our studio. But still, the technology keeps changing and adding new ideas and having someone as yourself sharing those things in an articulate way is an excellent way to learn.

      @@billbuckleytutorials So many of these younger guys talk so fast it is hard to keep up with them. They would do better off if they stayed more focused and talk slower. It is a trend, due to the fact that we communicate these days in bits of information. Text messaging, short emails, as examples-people just want everything fast, but they don't understand when it comes to communication so much is missed or even assumed when people don't have a little breathing time to process what they have been told. People's brains need time to process what they've been told. There is an art to public speaking in which procures good communication.

    Thank you for this useful breakdown.The percentage sign in the file section is actually about how much memory space is left. You have to actually click in the settings for battery percentage which is in the top right hand of the screen

    I have noticed that the Blackmagic camera app is not as good as the native iPhone camera app in Low Light, do you find this as well, I always record at 60fps and use a iPhone XS.

      @@colinscotland2887 I haven't tested this but in low light you probably don't want to shoot at 60 fps if you can help it as the shutter will probably be faster causing a dark image . Or, your ISO is vey high causing a grainy image. You will have to do some tests . Using BM app at full auto 24 fps / 60 fps etc. say at 24 FPS ( shutter at 180 degrees ) and you'll have to play with the ISO to make sure its not getting too high.
      Check out the end of my video here . I shot the end where the only lights were some lanterns . Granted it was with the iPhone 15 pro max

    Is there a setting to allow recording to an SSD?

      Yes there is .
      1. select settings cog wheel at bottom
      2. go to media
      3. Save clips to
      4. select files
      here you can set the folder on the attached SSD that you want the files to save to..

    The file naming with slate info doesn’t show up in the exported file … I wonder if this is a tech glitch or just something BM did solely for the Iphone 15 PMX & yes why did they remove the 4444 Codec? That was weird because that codec was great.

    • @billbuckleytutorials
      @billbuckleytutorials  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not sure why they took away the 4444. Maybe because Apple natively shoots in 422 . The file does export the slate data but you can only see it if your using Davinci Resolve editor under the inspector window/ metadata ..😀

    • @mu-ma-in
      @mu-ma-in 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'd say 4444 was either not stable due to extreme data rates or they simply knew that an iPhone doesn't supply that much data. Leave it to Arri Alexa…

    5:14 My iphone 15 pro max doesn't show the option for Apple ProRes 4444 but the Iphone 13 does.

    • @billbuckleytutorials
      @billbuckleytutorials  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I started filming this with my iPhone 13 pro max . the initial BM App had proRes 4444 . But then they upgraded the App and removed ProRes 4444 ( not sure why ). I finished the Video with the iPhone 15 pro max for the pro Res section.
      Simply because I got my new phone in the middle of recording the video.
      So black magic removed the pro Ress 4444 from their App in summary !

    whats the best gimble for i phone pro max ???

    • @billbuckleytutorials

      Thats a hard one to answer. I do like the DJI Osmo 6
      www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B7XD7R43/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
      But. The one thing I dont like is you have to hold it on the side if you try to do a straight up/down jib shot.
      So I would watch some TH-cam on gimbal videos for the pro max phones
      Best Bill

      As far as I know there isn't a slow motion feature ( they have timelapse under record )
