Hate to admit this as I’ve been a Patreon for around 2 years and STH for 12, but this boost has turned my attention back to West Ham after having no motivation to watch all the content around it this season (except the naked podcast).. just been dragging myself to games but very happy to have potter in now. Given me a massive boost and I’ve soaked up all of the HC content over the last 4 days or so! Great job lads ⚒️
It feels so much more positive to have a manager we can truly get behind. I think it's important that the figurehead and spokesperson for our club is not only a good football coach and communicator but also a good person. He seems very bright and measured. I'm instantly on side and hopeful he can unite the fan base and players
We have to be careful of becoming too enthusiastic Gonzo ,because the game has changed in the last couple of years. And it will be interesting to see if he recognises the fact. And this is not a criticism of Potter . Because I know he will make us a stronger and a tighter football unit.⚒⚒⚒
Good point but I honestly believe potter is a strong enough character to not just keep doing the same thing and try and be progressive, unlike moyes who was a one trick pony and loppy who simply put is a no trick pony,I believe things will improve under potter just by looking at his attitude this guys up for it
4:31 Gutted i missed the live show last night but i was sick as a dog , got funny feeling Potter is right man at right time looking forward to seeing better days at L.S as long as sullivan keeps his snout out of the football side.
Yep all is feeling good at the moment, I watched Paul Merson say if we lose to Villa our season is over, how wrong can he be. It starts from now with the feeling of Potter taking us up the League, who knows what the second half of the season can bring. COYI.
There's little he can have done to directly influence the squad by now. But what has influenced them indirectly: The ending of the tension of the saga, Lifting of any general division and poisonous atmosphere, Lifting of stress of "what's Loppy's daily bungle" going to be this time, Release from whatever was uncomfortable to each about loppy's style/system, Morale uplift due "new broom", Mood uplift due "something or anything has changed" , Mood uplift due meeting new happy to get job boss, Opportunity to impress a new boss, Personal grudge slate wiped clean for each individual. It's cup. No points for a drawer so let's go for a win. Directly due it being Potter: New guy they met was upbeat and positive, Suddenly they can more easily understand his dialogue/verbal message, "He understands my nuance" better and I understand what he's on about, New guy is watching.... Time to impress, He's expected to lose therefore we can take a chance. Finally: He can influence today by keeping the trained-for Loppy formation but selecting a more sane starting lineup. He will read the game and make more timely and different in game substitutions. Whatever. Let's support our new boss and enjoy that we'll get post match interviews for a change.
Whether Potter is a success or not or stays beyond the end of the season but the hope, excitement & optimism I have for tonight & the season going forward is massive. I was slowly giving up watching us under Loppy but now have a renewed excitement for the season. Feels like the season starts now & a win in the FA Cup is a massive incentive for the club, players & fans going forward. COYI ⚒️⚒️⚒️
It will take a few games to see any changes on the field and for us to understand how the team play I will be there tonight and not expecting much as not sure what he can change in 48 hours however as always we live in hope. Looking forward to a raucous away day and that would be great regardless of the result
I’ve logically written tonight off but obvs still want to go through - but I’m definitely feeling the buzz of Potter - have felt so apathetic for a long time but I liked the cut of his jib😊
Optimism is the first step towards the magical formula of confidence. It's the main thing we've been lacking for ages and what stops us, smacking the ball in the back of the net! Only trouble is, Villa has confidence in abundance. But if Potter wave's his wand about, he may be able to nick some of it from them, to pass it on to us! Last minute 4-3 win. COYI!
We have to keep some perspective here. Moyes was a good manager who got us our first trophy in decades. Loppy was a disastrous appointment and as soon as i heard it I was numb at the prospect and totally switched off awaiting his replacement. We are now back on the curve and I genuinely believe it is onwards and upwards from here . COYI.
Great to see the optimism but your right 1 training session is just not enough The chances are we will get beaten Let’s take the positives but be realistic. Greatly impressed with Potter ⚒️
I know several Villa fans because of where I live and work and, apparently, it's the 150th anniversary of Aston Villa, so they will be bang up for it, as will their fans. That being said, it's a cup tie and we had a large away allocation so that gives it another dimension. I always want us to beat them just so I can gloat at work for a while!
Potter is far more likely to get a tune out of players who've shown nothing so far this season. Saw him transform players at Brighton. I think he's exactly what we needed. Hopefully anyway. All we can do is hope and show our support.
Sitting on the fence with an air of anticipation with this one. I'm hoping to see the younger quicker players being utilised. Our season is pretty much goosed so nothing to lose by moulding a younger team over the remainder of the season. I keep thinking about Gary Speed when he took the Wales job. COYI ⚒️
It’s a clever move by Potter taking this game, he has nothing to lose and everything to gain. No one can blame him if we lose, it’s only his second day but if he wins he’s an instant hero. I’m praying for a win though, not just to keep our season alive but to give Potter a fabulous start. Coyi!!!!
Hopefully we will gradually see him change things for the rest of the season … the real test will be be next season when he has a pre season,a transfer window and what he learns in half a season of competitive matches to work with and judge the squad…….hw is obviously a brilliant communicator which will help bring everyone together and I believe he is more adaptable tactically than J LO …… we just need to give him time… but if we can see improvement, players trying and an identity forming then he will have the fans with him
Even with the lift of him coming in, I think it's too much of an ask to get a vastly improved performance considering our injuries as well as the obvious 24hr in charge. Until new quicker legs come in to midfield and defence, I think he'll need the very best performances out this team at present. Id love to keep Fulkrug as I think he could be our most important player and I think he looks good. Buzzing for the next half of this season though.
There’s a lot Potter can do even with only 2 days to prepare. Start by telling the players always to look for a forward pass and that on its own will transform the way we play.
For me, it doesn't matter if we win or lose. If we win, that will be due to excitement, the energy, Potter's setup, the hopefulness the players feel not the actual coaching because he's had one team-training. If we lose, it will be due to how badly the team has been coached/managed for months. It's a win-win for Potter either way. I expect the players to be more enthusiastic, more energetic and that's what I want to see tonight. Winning would be the curry on top 🍒
It will be great to win but there is no pressure. Potter is a much better man manager than Lop he is not known for falling out with the players. The players will get on board I'm sure not just for West Ham but for their personal targets. Fans are happy I'm sure the players are very happy so that will help. It will be intriguing to watch the game. I can see him selecting near enough the same team as the last match. I think you're expecting too much from the first game.
It is but that’s because it seems the right move for once. Sullivan gets well deserved 💩because he nearly always screws it up, if he starts making good decisions the 💩will stop. I mean that’s the point right, we want him to do what’s best for the club, we can’t complain if he starts doing that. Still a long way to go, still many problems but this is a step in the right direction imo.
Long as we stay up and finish mid table we have half a season to arrange jose coming next season he be back but what club me everton be his next club if we dont get him first
Simply having a manager who can articulate well changes everything.
Free hit tonight!! lets not forget hes walked into a mess here . patience is key ............COYI
1st time in two seasons I’m exactly going to watch the hammers, I’ve spent far too long being negative about my club. Buzzing ⚒️⚒️⚒️⚒️
I would love to see kudus in the 10 today with Guilherme on the right and Summerville on the left 🤞🏼
Hate to admit this as I’ve been a Patreon for around 2 years and STH for 12, but this boost has turned my attention back to West Ham after having no motivation to watch all the content around it this season (except the naked podcast).. just been dragging myself to games but very happy to have potter in now. I'm feeling very West Ham again today ⚒

such a long time since I've last looked so much forward to a match...that is a breath of fresh air in and of it self. Come on you irons!!!

How has it changed from your perspective in the past two years?
@@jasonmendelli6023 I'd be keen to know as well. I don't think its changed drastically in two years?
Potter's a student of the game, I wouldn't be too concerned tactically. It's how he handles the egos I'm concerned about.
@@jasonmendelli6023 its teams have been trying to cope with a way of overcoming the grip Man City had on the league.⚒⚒⚒
4:31 Gutted i missed the live show last night but i was sick as a dog , got funny feeling Potter is right man at right time looking forward to seeing better days at L.S as long as sullivan keeps his snout out of the football side.
By the training session video his looks over the moon with Cree and Kudus
What a great move of dropping Alvarez well done Potter 👏 ✔️ ⚒️⚒️⚒️
What do you mean dropping Alvarez?
Bot

Haven't had hope for years, I still barely believe we won a cup in Europe :-D but I'm very encouraged by how Graham is conducting himself '>
My final thought is that Potty will be both bonding and coaching on the coach.
Great to see the optimism but your right 1 training session is just not enough The chances are we will get beaten Let’s take the positives but be realistic. Greatly impressed with Potter ⚒️
Was glad to see Mark Robson taking training. 😊⚒️⚒️⚒️
He seems to say all the right things, I believe he will do a good job.
Wasn't that fussed about the game, actually looking forward to it now. Enjoyed the live last night by the way 🍼🍼🍼😂
Looking forward to a game for the first time in ages…..

We will have to have a result tonight, anything can happen, expect extra time.
Hey if u do get another dog. Now we have another manger.. a Greatham for number 2. Harry ........anyway keep safe mate and keep up amazing work

End of jan beginning of feb, we shud see changes working. Excited yes but this shud of happened beginning of sea
"The lads gave everything"

Win, lose or draw we now have hope
