  • Prepare for a thrilling journey as we revisit my very first cockpit flight (2008), flying from Zurich Airport to Madrid Barajas and back, all from the cockpit of a Swiss Air Lines Airbus A320. Take a seat on the jump seat, secure your seatbelt, and get ready for a unique experience as you watch over the shoulders of the Captain and First Officer in their 'office' at 30,000 feet.
    This is an exclusive opportunity to witness aviation from a perspective few get to see. Feel the excitement, experience the decision-making, and immerse yourself in the world of these skilled pilots.
    Join us on this extraordinary adventure and savor every moment of the flight. It's a journey you won't want to miss!

      Landings aren't that hard once it all clicks. It took me forever to get them down, but now it's effortless really. But every now and then every pilot thumps one down (and blame it on a wind gust...LOL).

    ab 5:30 ist mir meine Seele flöten gegangen...ich erinnere mich noch an die angestrebte, gescheiterte Pilotenkarriere. Das ist einerseits schön den Film anzuschauen und gleichzeitig die wunderschöne Musik zu hören, aber dennoch hebt es bittere, alte Zeiten hervor, die mich innerlich zerstören...ojee ich bin eine verlorene Seele.

    It's absolutely hilarious looking at all the armchair pilots making comments here about a subject they know little. These pilots never reached 20 degrees at TO only about 17. Airbuses normally fly with a higher nose-up attitude than Boeings so this accounts for the difference you notice on the PFD. This TO was routine and very safe. I think real pilots know a great deal more about flying safely than any of you will. Most airports have a minimum climb rate to comply with height restrictions and/or noise abatement. If you think it's unsafe don't fly, it's as simple as that. Igor K you need therapy.

    • @MrDesgulsh
      @MrDesgulsh 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Andrew A Gardener minimum climb is 1,2 % for OEI, for those you recieve obstacle clearance data, 1,2% is for engine failure procedures so i guess you cant go lower gradient than that.

    • @girlintraining
      @girlintraining 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Andrew A Gardener Well, two things: First, the "armchair pilots" use flight simulator software, which approximates these planes, but doesn't reproduce their flight dynamics. Second, the AoA of even 20 isn't necessarily problematic. Stall speed varies by IAS, angle of attack of the wings, configuration of the plane (gear, flaps, droops, etc.), atmospheric conditions, etc. Did a stall warning alert? No. So the only thing "bad" that might happen is they make more noise / consume more fuel than desired

    • @sarcasticommentator
      @sarcasticommentator 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Not entirely true, there are companies that create airbuse addons with 98% flight dynamic accuracy. Just wanted to point that out. Basically as real as it can get for a proper simulator, mainly used in P3D for professional training.

      You people bashing about "armchair pilots " a lot these days , firstly I'm one of these so called but I understand the true dynamics and studied a lot about these stuff , some people might be ignorant but not all and they should not be shitchair pilot fucking twat

      Igor K No offense mate but thats actully normal precedure. just about every airbus and Boeing you ever fly takes off at 20 degrees, Standard Operating Procedure. Please do some research and educate yourself before making silly Comments.

    • @CentralTexasRailJetProductions
      @CentralTexasRailJetProductions 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Igor K You are correct, but some airlines do this anyways. Southwest is a good example here in the US.

    • @CentralTexasRailJetProductions
      @CentralTexasRailJetProductions 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Igor K I agree with you. I hate when airlines do not follow procedures. A while ago I flew with AA, and the crew literally banked the aircraft 25 degrees over the limit. Funny thing, the pilots were talking on the intercom and I heard a bank angle warning! :O They can get us killed. The plane was a 757-200

    • @Altair150
      @Altair150 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Igor K Do you have any examples of planes stalling and crashing due to a 20 degree take off?
