this is wild...a big football crazy nation like brazil has its pride in football..how can they bow down to a US company ..they all were millionares in the best leagues anyway with or without nike..its hard to believe this version where "half of the team" is in on it..they may put pressure on the coach to put ronaldo in but if its rigged then it is much bigger (famous football players are part of certain societies ) ...i started to think about the 2022 world cup where the entire french team suddenly got the "flu" before the final ..and they certainly played like it for 80 minutes..messi having his emir connections..losing to the saudis so they are happy..that may have put the arab powerstructure/hotels etc on their side
and it goes the other way around too..germany had the flu in 2014 right before their infamous 7:1 match against brazil...my theory was with a flu they are allowed to take certain medications that can cloud the doping control..i mean they played like it
but at the end of the day its just speculation...argentina was really a strong team over motivated against the french...having their incredible fans behind them just gives them power and messi is the goat no doubt....and the french against brazil 1998 had the same team spirit..one for all , all for one..

It wasn't rigged and no one tried to kill Ronaldo, the first theory you mention about Xylocaine sounds the most logical and explains everything quite clearly in terms of Ronaldo's weak knees. And are we seriously going to dismiss it just because his doctor who doesn't even know what a convulsion is said no one was taking any injection, obviously they are going to try to hide this information from public for as long as possible.
As for the match itself, yes Nike forced Ronaldo to play because of the huge money deal, but that's not rigging the match, they didn't care who won the final, they just wanted to make sure their investment is represented and Brazil played poorly because they were shook up by Ronaldo's near death experience and couldn't focus on the match, so obviously easy match for France.
Going into fancy and complex theories is fun and all, but in reality things are never so complicated, all the corrupt and shady shit that happens is always done in the simplest way possible, this ain't the movies where the villain plans some crazy sequence of events that would require all the start to align to happen.
Also Brazil would never throw a final just to get a easy group stage in the next World Cup, that makes zero logic.

But that 98 World Cup final was so off it did not feel right. It felt like decision was already made for 🇫🇷 to win before the game started. 🇧🇷 was playing so bad, I've never seen the golden generation 🇧🇷 play that bad. Ronaldo in that match was pretty much non-existent even Rivaldo & all the other main guys. Something was really wrong with that 98 World Cup final that till this day does not sit well with me, just like with the 06 World Cup final & some of the 22 World Cup matches. I'm not going to deny Zidane's talent because even for me he's one of the best of that generation, but he was definitely not on Ronaldo (R9), Ronaldinho (R10/R11) & Rivaldo (R10) in their prime, especially the first two in their prime.

I think what happened is that Ronaldo was simply injured by the time leading up to the final. Then there was a brash attempt to keep him on by injecting him but it resulted in the convulsions. All because he simply HAD to play for the fans and yes for Nike too. By the time the final started Ronaldo was just a mess and the whole teams morale was just destroyed. I think a big flaw that showed up was not having Romario. Edmundo was too much of a drop off but Romario was elite as well and would’ve been able to play by the time of the knock out stages from injury. Romario would’ve been the perfect cushion for Ronaldo who simply suffered too much physically and he even payed for it more even after that World Cup.

There is so much conspiracy and garbage dealing going on in sports that I have never paid a single hard-earned cent to see any of them. I'm fed up with most sports. Trust me, even motor racing is rigged. The last race of the 1997 season, the Williams team came under fire for allegedly cutting a spoken agreement with McLaren to hold back so Mika Hakkinen could get his first GP win. Suddenly, it was all hushed up and forgotten. Then the very next year, Hakkinen snores his way to the EASIEST world title ever. I was so disgusted that I just about gave up. I only watched the races when Ferrari were winning. After that, I switched off permanently.

@@luisdavasconcellos2914I don't like tinfoil hat stuff, but there is a conspiracy that I love:
After the 1998 incident, FIFA gave Brazil an easy group + the weaker bracket (Turkey and England gold generation were pretty good, though), while in the other side, SK would clean up the shark tank(Spain, Italy, Germany) with "a little help". Once Brazil X SK final was certain Korea would be on his own. Easy win for Brazil, the final wouldn't look suspicious to the world, while Asia would get a "football fever" after their first WC final in 72 years.
But what about France, who won 1998 WC, 2000 Euro, and reached 2006 final? Well, for some reason, they scored 0 goals against Senegal, Denmark and Uruguay, Zidane was injured, France had 10 players against Uruguay because Henry got a red card after only 25 minutes, and missed the game against Denmark... sus.

Perhaps, this explains why the player Leonardo declared the following sentence: "If people knew what happened in the World Cup, they would be disgusted". All Brazilians were shocked and saddened for having missed the soccer World Cup in France. Should not. What is exposed below is the first-hand news that is being investigated by radio stations and newspapers from all over Brazil and some foreigners, more specifically Wall Street Journal of Americas and Gazzeta delo Sport and should be published in the media soon, as soon as the news evidence is gathered and confirms the facts.
Proven fact: Brazil SOLD the world cup to FIFA. The Brazilian starting players were advised, at 13:00 on July 12 (day of the final game), in a meeting involving Mr. Ricardo Teixeira (on the only time the president of the CBF attended a national team briefing), coach Mário Zagallo, Mr. Américo Faria, selection supervisor, and Mr. Ronald Rhovald, representative of sponsor Nike. Reserve players remained in isolation, in their rooms or in the hotel lobby. At first very upset, the players refused to exchange the five-time world championship for hosting the World Cup.
Acceptance came through full payment of prizes, US$70,000.00 for each player, plus a bonus of US$400,000.00 for all players and committee members, for a total of US$23,000,000.00 twenty-three million dollars) through the company Nike. In addition, players who accept the contract with the company Nike in the next 4 years will have the same prize bases as the company's elite players, such as Ronaldo himself, Raul, from Spain, Batistuta, from Argentina and Roberto Carlos, as well. from Brazil.
Even so, Ronaldo refused to play, which forced coach Zagallo to choose Edmundo, saying that Ronaldo was having problems with his left knee (in the first piece of news published at 1:30 pm at the press center) and, shortly afterwards, at 14:15, changing the prognosis for stomach problems). His situation was only resolved after the Nike representative threatened to withdraw his lifetime sponsorship of the player, valued at more than $90,000,000.00 (ninety million dollars) throughout his career.
Thus, it was agreed that Brazil would be defeated during the 'Golden Goal' (overtime with sudden death), but the apathy that befell the starting players meant that France, which absolutely did not participate in this negotiation, scored, in two simple failures of the Brazilian team, the first goals. Mr. Sepp Blatter, the new president of FIFA, a French-Swiss citizen, applauded the collaboration of the Brazilian team, since the world championship brought balance to France at a time of the highest unemployment rates ever recorded in that country, which will be aggravated by the recent introduction of euro (European single currency) and the European common market (ECC).
He also assured Mr. Ricardo Teixeira, through his uncle, João Havelange, that Brazil would have an easier way for the fifth championship in 2002. Please pass this message on to as many people as possible, so that everyone can get to know the filth that surrounds football!

Guess what nationality the FIFA president was when France won their first world cup in these weird circumstances surrounding Ronaldo? That's right, he was French. The match was fixed

I always believed and felt Ronaldo was poisoned the wc was in France staying in a French hotel the final game was against France & 1 of the fifa presidents was French (BLATTER)who was definitely capable of doing anything corrupt to make sure his country won the World Cup on home soil just remember he got exposed years later for corruption in football the only thing NiKE did wrong was force R9 to still play after he was poisoned because of sponsorship contracts & money been made and spent or received already but I don’t blame NiKE other than that cos it’s too much of a coincidence what happened to R9 the night before the game and he even said afterwards that even tho they lost he’s happy he never lost his life the French had to make sure he either did not play or was not even 50% fit enough to play to guarantee they win and the rest of the squad were probably threatened by French police etc cos they all looked scared and timid on that pitch it was probably my 1st heartbreaking moment in football as that was my 1st proper World Cup as a kid old enough to understand the game and supported Brazil I also think the 7 goal defeat to Germany years later was weird but that Brazilian squad was nowhere near as good as the R9 generation but again Neymar was injured coincidentally just before the final trust me football is sometimes scripted

France was given the world cup in 98. What a joke. Brazil was way better. Thats why i still consider the 98 wc the worst and the most fixed i ever seen. Zidane and that whole french team was a freaking joke.
Ronaldo was poisoned by some entity no doubt about it.

This doccumentary has to continue coz it answers the question as to why Argentina won this World Cup. There's no way Karim had to be dropped for Giroud even after declaring that he was fit. That game against the Netherlands too. Again, how come Portugal's refs against Morocco had all refs from Argentina? Clearly, it seems Portugal were the sole team that had refused to be part of the Fifa script for obvious reasons. Infantino must go home

It would have been harsh to play Benzema after everything Giroud did for the team leading up to it, also remember France did not play good in Euros 2020 and Nations League with Benzema as their striker. The Netherlands game, Paredes deserved a red card but so did Timber earlier, and VVD for punching Paredes after his clumsy challenge.
