Disneyfilm pulls nostalgia strings yet again! They're a trash company making trash products relying on cameos from popular characters and bits and pieces from EU lore to keep Star Wars afloat! The very same Expanded Universe they *PUT THROUGH THE SHREDDER* and *ERASED* because "they didn't want it to interfere with their creative process", or someshit like that! Pathetic! I really envy you guys for enjoying this, I wish I could... Didn't watch anything since the end of Mando Season 2... Star Wars is dead, long live the "sT4r WAr5", I guess?

The Mythosaur that seen in the episode, reminded me of a moment in the Clone Wars series. When after the Zilo Beast was discovered after that bomb hit, before then the Dougs thought they were extinct when it turns out they weren't. Also the smith said that once the Mythosaur returns a big change will happen for Mandalore.

Seeing the dark under cities and ruined cities is always haunting to watch. Just seeing everything built up only to be torn down and left in ruins is a tragedy and a dreadful sight. It makes one see planets like Coruscant or Taris in a very different light. It's a tragedy seeing great worlds like these destroyed and left to rot. It always hurts seeing beauty left to ruin, like Coruscant, Taris, and Mandalore, planets built up over thousands of years, left to ruins in various ways.

Admiral Rampart told Crosshair that he was placed under a new Commander since Commander Cody was reported to be AWOL. The next mission we see involving Crosshair was him meeting MayDay.

We live, in blessed harmony with the things that live in the spaces we try not to think about. Until we do. Until that space spreads, until the sun fades and those dark spaces are all that's left. Only then do we understand how fragile that harmony was, only then do we understand that the nightmares that scuttled out from under the bed at the end of it all, had been keeping us company all along.
The Earth has those spaces too, forgotten echoes lost in the din of an ageless silence. We evolved in the sun, to be nourished by the light and all that to which it gave root but there are things that did not know the sun, that did not know the rain, or the touch of grass, or the kiss of the wind. Every single human being alive feels an overpowering wonder at the thought of a cave but buried beneath the complacency of the civilised mind is a shrieking alarm that knows full well what festers where light and love have no purchase.
This world is a living thing, and those veins and arteries tunnel deep into the crust, into the very flesh of the Earth. There are sins down there that no holy book has hells for. Though, stay a while, you might learn why they don't need one.

It's one thing to hear about the devastation, but it's another to see it firsthand. When Bo-Katan mentioned reclaiming Mandalore back in season 2 many of us probably thought that while the damage was bad it couldn't have been that bad if they think they can get it back, plus as shown by Tattoni, even a planet that gets glassed by orbital bombardment can still recover and have a decent place for people to live, especially with how things seem to have improved under Boba Fett's leadership. But then we finally saw Mandalore for the first time in live-action and it wasn't as bad as I thought, it was a lot worse. It's heartbreaking, it feels like just yesterday we saw these streets bustling with life, shining with beauty, and being the sights of many decently epic battles where noble decent Mandalorians fought the ones that choose to side with the evil likes of Maul or the Empire. But now look at these streets, their decilent, their dark, their dingy, and home to some not-too-friendly creatures. It especially hurts when Bo-Katan starts reminiscing about it to Din and Grogu, about the good old days, when the city stood proud and some Jedi and Mandalorians even got along to help save the planet from the likes of Maul and the Empire, sure maybe things were great back then at times but it was still better then what the planet is now. The Empire destroys everything it touches, even itself as I talked about in yesterday's video on the new episode of The Bad Batch.

While this is all true, and it is an incredibly horrible tragedy, this isn't the end. Mandalore has been glassed many a times over the centuries. Sometimes by others, sometimes by their own doing. Time and time and time again, they've come back from the brink of destruction and rebuilt. Bo-Katan once said that Mandalore will always survive, and she was right. Mandalore has survived before, and it will survive again. But to do that, they need someone to guide their efforts, to protect their people, and to rebuild their civilization once again. What they need is a new Mand'alor. The question is who will it be?

Especially since Din said in this episode he is in Bo-Katan's debt for her help saving him, so I think helping her reunite all the Mandalorians would be a good way to repay that debt.

Did anyone else notice that the cyborg's head section crawling around had a piece of metal which looked very close to a Mandalorian pauldron? Considering the word it lives on and the fact that it not only chose a more humanoid-looking body, but was also clearly intelligent, you have to wonder that that thing actually used to be. Does anyone happen to know which sentient races may have been around in that time period to end up becoming that thing?

@@leeflorence3838 All we really have to go on is the appearance of it's eye, the body's overall form, and the location. I think it was probably a Mandalorian, from a near-human race that fits the typical armor but had eyes which look more yellow. It probably got injured by a bomb when the empire blew up the cities, then resorted to extreme cybernetics to survive, very much like Grievous.

Didn't Mandalore the First and his sucessors hunt the Mythosaur to extinction in Legends? If that is the case, it looks like early Mandalorian history is being rewritten, with Mandalore the Great replacing Mandalore the First and riding the Mythosaur replacing it getting hunted to exctinction.
Also, weren't the New Manalorians ruling the planet ever since the Excision? I'm asking because I don't know, so how does Bo Katan's father dying in defense of the planet mesh with that?

There was a civil war between the New Mandolorians and the Deat Watch prior to the clone wars. Perhaps Bo Katan's father fought in that war and she viewed him as defending the planet. This is just my speculation, though, and I don't know if there is any information on her father in legends or cannon.

Well, apparently one of those things managed to survive, and nobody knew about it. I mean, it happened before with the Zillo Beast, and that was way bigger. It could happen here. And I could still see the first Mandalorians eventually driving the Mythosaurs to extinction, so I think this still jives with the old stories. Also no, the New Mandalorians were formed long after the Excision. They were formed by Bo-Katan's father, Adonai Kryze, to be exact. They fought against Death Watch and the True Mandalorians during the Mandalorian Civil War some time prior to the Battle of Naboo, and near the end of that war he was killed (How, I don't know), and was succeeded by his eldest daughter, Satine as leader of the New Mandalorians, who eventually won the Civil War.

And yet other times there was society issues. Good ideas that doom a world, and for example we have the world of Raxus Prime, a beautiful world of lagoons and islands that was so beautiful it served as one of three capitals of the Kingdom of Cron, an ancient kingdom. It became a hub for manufacturing and technology, and over the centuries and reaching the era of the Galactic Empire. Once a beautiful world was heavily polluted and transformed into a planet size junkyard where all junk appears to go to be recycled, like the Empire used this world as a source of resources to build their Star Destroyers.
