@ compared to 4060 yes. but people who dont know anything about gpus will buy the 4060. and if they are knowledgable about pcs 6750 xt is 30€ more. better performance, drivers, software. b580 performs worse than a 6700xt
It's a bit concerning that the RTX 56 series could perform better than the 50 series. The 56-series GPUs might also be significantly cheaper than their 50-series counterparts. Additionally, the 20-series GPUs are becoming more affordable in the market, possibly going for around $170 or less, and they can handle some demanding AAA games. However, this may vary by game. These GPUs should be compatible with LGA 1151 Intel motherboards, as well as later iterations and i5 CPUs. There’s also a possibility that low-profile versions of the 56-series GPUs could be produced. If that happens, it could prevent customers from needing to buy high-priced GPUs, as some games can run smoothly without stutters or bottlenecks on more affordable options. On another note, some entry-level PCs might still utilize more demanding GPUs without issues like stuttering or crashes. Nvidia might reduce prices for certain RTX 20 and 56-series GPUs, but it's unlikely they will lower prices for the 50, 40, or 30-series GPUs significantly. However, some 30-series GPUs could drop to around $200 or less. If I decide to upgrade my GPU, I would consider buying an almost-new one from eBay or Mercari. Currently, my rig has a GTX 1070 installed.
If there's no competition then no, they don't. Sadly. I really like the new Intel cards and for entry level they're a great option... But the reality is they cost more then the 4060 in Europe. For many this isn't a performance level we're interested in. I hope Intel can scale this up and give NVIDIA a real kick and balls, but until then we'll just have to wait and see.
@@TechWithJohannes Not so sure, the profit margins on these products wouldn't be anywhere close to the high end. Plus they already have competing products with the similar priced 4060 in Europe. NVIDIA have been in the game for a long time, they know where the money is and how to extract the most out of consumers given the market conditions, which right now is not good for consumers. :(
@@TechWithJohannes Which is why their main focus is AI right now and not gaming. It was $22.6 Billion vs $2.6 billion profit. Not even close. I wish Intel all the best and hope they scale up the design, but cards already exist at this price range in most countries. 4060/6700/7600/7600XT..
Nvidia and low end… hmmm 6050 with 96bit memory bus using 3gb memory chips… maybe $400 next gen low end GPU and ofcourse they also release 6gb version to compete $300 price point!
Why? because I do not think the chips bin that low. That is why we did not even have a 4050. I suspect chips with that many defects either do not exist in any real quantity or are so damaged they do not function properly. Additionally, they do not need to pursue to budget segment people merely want them to. The reality is the margins on the budget segment are low and only act as loss leaders in some cases. Ask Intel all about that one as based on the die size they are almost certainly losing ~10% on every B580 which is why the stock was so low. Additionally a 56XX series card usually denotes disabled or removed tensor cores meaning no RTX which runs counter to your notions. They are not going to create a new discrete chip just for the budget segment. So the reason they do not do it is because it is a money losing proposition all around.
No I know, this was just kindoff a little fun thought experiment - was not meant to be a realistic argument. I do think the budget sector is bigger than people give it credit for especially if you look outside the US. But yeah, not very realistic. Hopefully the 5060 is a good budget offering at the least.
I mean, its dumb but... They do need to do something
Its an interesting idea at least...
I think so too
0:40 battlemage will never make it when they cost 25% more in europe. it costs more than the 4060.
@Fekxyz-gr8hc Its a better card though even at that price.

Well, I mean it is just hypothetical. But yes in that case it would be interesting. In your case an upgrade to a 2080ti might be worth it!

I agree but I do think the ultra budget sector is bigger than people realize.

@Ebilcake well to them most of the money is in ai... Not in gaming so much. I think Battlemage will sell very well.

4060 is cheaper than B580 where I live, so your argument doesn't live up to the most basic scrutiny.
I'd rather have a b580 though...
They will! With 8gb of ram. To get 12gb you'll have to pay a yearly sub 😅
Yeah, waiting for vendors to start loaning gpus 🤣
