To be very honest, the cruise I did on Explora II was probably the cruise I stayed the least in my cabin. I was always somewhere doing something, even on sea days. Basically at the cabin to sleep, bath and change clothes. So my point of view is not so much the price for the cabin, but rather the price for the entire cruise experience, specially for all other venues around the ship. So, at the end of the day, I would get the cheapest cabin on board and enjoy the ship to its fullest.
Another very useful video. Many thanks for that! It is perhaps worth mentioning that there are also differences in the bathroom configuration. There are bathrooms with a floor-level shower and bathrooms with a bathtub shower, which in my opinion is quite uncomfortable for showering. And another request to you for future videos: please don't always touch the silver plug terminal on the 220 volt sockets with your fingers. If you accidentally touch the second clip as well, you will get a not very pleasant electric shock. It won't kill you, but it is very unpleasant.
I spoke with Explora just now and you are incorrect in your stating they are either or....A twin room can be requested to be two separate beds if you desire other wise the twin beds ARE convertible to one queen bed just like all other cruise ships.
I did have a conversation with them as well, and just before the cruise was already quite complicated. Actually it was Explora that alerted me for the fact before hand. Then to get the correct room was a bit complicated because when booking they thought the layout of Explora II was the same as Explora I, and when the ship plans came out we discovered the layout was not the same, and it was a bit complicated to change the room to make sure we were in a twin and not a double. We managed to get the twin, but as you will be able to see in the footage, unfortunately what they call a Twin is not a usual twin, and ended up in that situation that I actually experienced. Hope you have better luck than me, maybe in Explora III they will fix the problem of these twins and double rooms. Hope you get adequate information from who is assisting you with the booking so that you don't have the same problem I had. But then again, my problem was different, I wanted a Twin, and as you can see from the footage, their twins are actually more doubles than twins.
I’ve watched six or more videos on the cabins on the Explorer Journey and still can’t see if you can watch TV from your bed .Just shots of plugs and the Dyson Hairdryer.
You are so right. I did fiddle with the TV for a bit. Was trying to discover something like Chromecast or Airplay, but the TV did not support that, it did allow for HDMI plug in, But I did not have any cables with me to show it. I will definitely make a new video on my next trip on Explora I on the TV.
Thanks Alex, very useful information especially about taking some pegs for drying clothes outside. 👍🇳🇿
Thank you so much... It took me like 5 minutes to find the word, there... Pegs, exactly what I wanted to say 😂
Obrigado Alex por todos os vlogs no navio Explora. Estou ansioso para reservar um cruzeiro para 2025. Atenciosamente, Dave da Nova Zelândia
@smiffyLevel6 thanks Dave from New Zealand. And I am anxious to visit New Zealand, a place I have not yet been in 😎 Thank you for your support 🙏

Thank for all the great information Alex! We're booked for on this vessel in January '26 and looking forward to it! Happy cruising to you!
Hope you enjoy it! It was such a great experience for me. Thank you so much for the time taken for the feedback and to watch the videos.
5:35 I was not ready 🤣
😂 Some naughty thoughts 🤣🤣🤣
I'm really intrigued by this ship and line - the cabins look gorgeous, but I'm not convinced they're worth the price...

I must be different because I have slept in the same bed with friends.
Don't suppose it is a problem for everyone 😉
