I'm not married but what kept me from staying with my bf even if it's kinda challenging sometimes is knowing that God chose him for me. I broke up with him once. Love is emotion, and it comes and goes when expectations are not met. But knowing that Jesus opened the door where my bf is a part of it, leaving because I fell out of love would be rebellion.
What about if you’re with someone who’s verbally and emotionally abusive? 15 years in, I feel empty and numb. We have 2 boys and he rarely wants to spend time with them. We’ve tried counseling off and on throughout the years, to no avail.
