I was trying to sleep last week, trying to think only about our LORD the Christ, but simply could not... Over and over in my head I kept hearing the name Melchizedek. I didn’t know why, I wasn’t even aware of Melchizedek, but the entire night, over and over, for sleep was not to come, I kept thinking of nothing else:
Melchizedek… Melchizedek… Melchizedek… the next morning I researched. I still don’t understand, but I do know God found me, after He let the enemy test me again and again. I am humbled by His grace and love, for He never forsake me, even though I did not deserve His compassion; He fought for me, and delivered me from the evil one. I testify in His Mighty Name, and I am a witness to His Almighty Power and Grace.
I love you all, together we cannot be defeated by this evil, ever.

I believe he was Shem, and this is why. There were people he watched grow up, grow old and die, and he knew their ancestors. He could tell them about them, and they didn't know what to think about the experience. It was difficult for people to accept and believe he was who he said he was. It was God's way of allowing a righteous man to get a better perspective of what it was like to be an immortal, when dealing with mortals. People don't like to take you at your word. They demand proof. They want to know how you know or could know what you know. They want to know your origins and expect you to be able to provide a simple answer, and it better be one they want to hear.
God also wanted a witness to testify of all of the things before the flood. He also wanted a sign of His covenant and an undying man, much advanced in years, well beyond all others was a sure sign of it. He would possess and pass on important knowledge of history and the truth. However, with the passage of time, it gets harder and harder to prove, as the mountain of evidence required becomes harder to quickly show, which is what most people want or expect. They expect the evidence to be provided as quickly as the claim can be made. However, it should be understood that to provide 5 centuries worth of knowledge and facts, takes time to try to share and is difficult to absorb by someone who will likely only live one century or less. God giving Shem a new name, which He also did with others (Jacob, Abraham), He did as a sign of His covenant. Shem was a priest to his family and with whom God passed on His covenant from Noah. It only made sense to make him both priest and king. It also stood to reason that Shem would've had time to acquire the lands and wealth of a king. He did so in the settlement of Salem, which later became Jerusalem, or New Salem in Hebrew. This was God also staking a claim to His land, before others declared it theirs and accused His people of taking. God did this shortly after the flood, before Ham or Japheth's descendants had time to try to take that land. God had a plan and purpose for every part of Shem's life and making Shem the king and priest of the Earth, was also a part of it. Shem made supplication to the Lord for the sin of man, as a forerunner for Messiah's coming. This is why believers in Messiah as said to be after the order of the Melchizedek priesthood, since we take on the role of priests, after Messiah died for our sins. This is why Abraham paid tribute and tithed to Melchizedek. When he did this, this was when God passed on Shem's mantle to Abraham and allowed Shem the joy of seeing all that the Lord had been working, which gave Shem's life a greater feeling of accomplishment and purpose. It was also a way for Abraham to walk by faith instead of by sight, and to not have to be filled with lingering doubts about who that man really was, in relation to him. However, I can assure it was something God revealed to Abraham in time, to strengthen his faith.
Here is a bit of irony. Jewish tradition holds that Melchizedek was also Shem. They would be more easily able to possess stories handed down and even possibly physical evidence. From a documentary I watched, the temple of Melchizedek is still in Israel to this very day. There are many pictures of it, if you Google it. The other irony is, many Jews who still follow the Aaronic Priesthood teachings from the Torah and beyond in the Talmud and Midrash, if they still follow any at all, while they believe that Shem is Melchizedek, they would give no authority to his priesthood, as having been passed on to believers in Yeshua. This is directly attributed to a lack of understanding that Yeshua was Adonai, in a human body. He was also the preincarnate Christ who visited Abraham with two angels. He wove a man in the womb of a virgin woman, to make a perfect sacrifice, once and for all for sin, showing He would rather suffer pain and death, than to destroy His creation. He was crucified by the Romans, buried and resurrected. He also did so to hopefully get people to question what they would think if a being suddenly was before them, claiming to be God. What would they believe? Would they be deceived? Believers in Yeshua are priests after the order of Melchizedek, according to the teachings of the apostle Paul and Yeshua is the High Priest. If you understand how Shem filled this roll in pleasing God with obedience, it ministered to Him, after just having destroyed the majority of all of His creation. Believers today minister to God in the same way and to others whom He is trying to bring to faith. Shem was constantly working to pass on that very faith in God and the historical record, that someday made its way to the Tanak and the Bible. Many Jews fail to realize that the men who walked with God, faithfully believing the promise that God would build a people from their loins and bring forth a Messiah to be a Redeemer for mankind, to redeem them from the sin in the Garden of Eden. Though they don't live in the modern era of Jesus being preached nor lived during His lifetime, they still believed in Him and walked with God.

Many pre-Jewish and pre-Christian priesthood’s held the sun as an important object to acknowledge. The sun is the “High Priest that is passed into the heavens” and is the great luminary of the day which grandly presides over the celestial hierarchy in our solar system. The sun in ancient times was representational of the Creator to all our human ancestors and therefore like unto the Father of all life. It is “Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.”
This Melchisedec priest could not be any man; man born of a woman; woman; son of god; god; human priest; nor any prophet; nor Jesus Christ; for all of these have fathers and mothers; have beginnings to their lives; and lives that end. This Melchisedec priest has to be something representational... a thing... an object... a symbol... which the sun is to the Creator.
We have to keep in mind that no Jewish scriptures existed before Ezra. The Bible-including the New Testament, is simply a book based on previous cultures, myths, histories, religions.... Where the western world makes their big mistake is assuming just because the Old Testament describes past history, doesn’t mean it was written in the past which it describes.

MELCHISIDEK is a Sun-God, and his life is the year or one round of the sun. He lives 365 years (days), is without father or mother, and without descent, knowing neither beginning of days nor end of life, "Does not die," but was translated and begins another year.
He was a sage, -the inventor of astronomy, astrology, arithmetic, and writing. He represents the year, is keeper of the time and seasons, or dates. His life is the number of 365 days in the year, expressed as years.
The Hebrew Patriarch, Enoch, did not die like the others at 800 or 900 years, but was translated, or disappeared, "for God took him" when he was 365 years old. He is the year, or a Sun God, an echo of Melchizedek. That Jesus was a priest after the order of Melchizedek" is emphasised by the apparently useless repetition of the phrase seven times in Hebrews. This repetition was to emphasize a secret announcement to the initiated that Jesus was a sun-god. Samson, Job, Daniel, and many others are fragments of the sun myth.

In my opinion Melchizedek was in fact Noah's son Shem. If you read the genealogies Abraham was 110 years old when Shem died. As for tithing, if you read Deuteronomy 12 & 14 you will find that the Israelites were commanded to spend 10% of their produce on feasts every two years of each 3-year cycle and to give to the Levites 10% of their produce third year of each 3-year cycle ("the year of tithing), from which the Levites give 10% to the priests and to spend it on the poor.

"King of Righteousness, King of Peace" can not be identified with the worship of a false god who conceived of murder and attempted to unduly influence Avram (Abraham) to murder Isaac. Melchisedek could not worship a false god of murderous intent or unnecessary violence. In order to be King of Peace and Righteousness, Melchisedek could only be identified with worship of the one true God who is singularly good and incorruptible.

Actually the word is El Elyon for the Most High. Elohim is plural for God.
Oh do you have it wrong. Melchizedek was truly defined as King of Righteousness. It was a title for Shem. The reference to his genealogy was idiomatic referring to prediluvian, or antediluvian as opposed to postdiluvian time frames. He was the seventh, I believe, great Grandfather of Abraham. A check of the genealogies will confirm. He held the Adamic Priesthood after the flood. He lived 43 years longer than Abraham! Way too much to say. Talk to a Rabbi. Read the Tanach (Old Testament in Hebrew). Did you miss it!

The Melchizedeks are also universally known as Emergency Sons, and have the inherent spiritual attribute to incarnate on an inhabited world in order to save spiritual truth.
And that is exactly what the Melchizedek of our world volunteered to do 4,000 years ago.
Each inhabited world benefits from occasional epochal revelations of truth from heaven, beginning with the civilizing Planetary Prince, followed by the biological uplifting Material Sons (Adam & Eve), and, later, local universe Sons of God.
During the course of the mission of the Planetary Prince, 200,000 years ago, in Mesopotamia, our world was negatively affected by the Lucifer Rebellion.
The invisible Prince joined the rebellion, and Nod was the corporeal leader of the rebels on Earth.
The mission of Adam and Eve, later on, was basically unintentionally corrupted and aborted by a well-meaning Nodite, 38,000 years ago.
By 2,000 BC spiritual truth had become very hazy, and polytheism ruled the world.
The universal truth of the one God of the inhabited grand universe had been buried beneath an avalanche of polytheistic beliefs.
Our planet was in spiritual peril.
It was then that Machiventa Melchizedek volunteered to incarnate to save spiritual truths of the one God.
It was 1,973 years before the birth of Jesus that this Emergency Son was bestowed upon the human races. His incarnation is the reason that there are no records of his birth.
He arrived as a full grown adult and physically resembled the then blended Nodite and Sumerian peoples of the region. His arrival was unwitnessed by human eyes. He was first observed by mortal man on that eventful day when he entered the tent of Amdon, a Chaldean herder of Sumerian extraction. And the proclamation of his mission was embodied in the simple statement which he made to the shepherd: "I am Melchizedek, priest of El Elyon, the Most High, the one and only God."
And while this Sage of Salem was well aware of the Universal Father(God), he chose to simplify his revelation of God by referring to the lower constellation supervisor, the Most High.
This high priest spoke Chaldean and a 1/2 dozen other languages.
After establishing his headquarters in Salem, he recruited Abram, a native of Ur, in Mesopotamia, who was characterized by intelligence, initiative, sagacity and sincerity, to be his star student.
The first thing that Melchizedek did after establishing his headquarters, was to abolish the horrible practice of human and animal sacrifice, replacing it with the offering of bread and wine (this practice was adopted later, by Jesus [aka Michael], during his ministry on Earth).
Melchizedek's covenant with Abraram is easily attainable by ALL mortals: soul salvation via simple childlike faith in God. The Salem missionaries penetrated all the surrounding tribes, and even Egypt, Mesopotamia and Asia Minor, proclaiming the one God, and salvation by simple faith in this one God.
After about 100 years of his sojourn in the flesh on Earth, Melchizedek decided to take leave of our planet.
The main reason was that his followers began to realize that he was superhuman, which, indeed he was. Accordingly, they began to regard him as a demigod, regarding him unduly and with a highly superstitious fear.
Therefore, Machiventa retired one night to his tent at Salem, having said "Good night" to his human companions, and when they went to call him in the morning, he was not there, for his Melchizedek fellows had taken him back to their heavenly World.
And this is the reason for there being no record of his death.
His proclamation of the one God helped prepare the subsequent mission of Michael, as Jesus, who revealed the nature of the Universal Father to mortal man.
The Salem missionaries later penetrated Vedic India. Hinduism was the only true established religion at that time, but the Brahman priests refused to accept the simple proclamation of salvation by faith.
They insisted that erroneous ritualistic sacrifice was the way of obtaining favor by God. But these missionaries went on into China and, for thousands of years, the yellow man knew of the one God. These missionaries also entered Mesopatamia, Egypt, Iran and Arabia. Then they traveled westward to Greece and Rome.
The resulting origin of the ancient world religions from 3,500 years ago were the results of the missionary teachings of Melchizedek. They have all since evolved and devolved since that time.
The reason that Jesus of Nazareth was referred to as 'forever a priest in the order of Melchizedek' came about in this way: Jesus was Michael of Nebadon before his incarnation on our planet. In order to attain full universe sovereignty, these Michael Sons must temporarily incarnate 7 times, in the form of their local universe creatures, in order to experience life as these creatures and become more understanding and even more merciful. The first incarnation, In full-fledged creature form, is as the highest order of local universal Sonship, the Melchizedeks.
Thus, Michael became, and actually WAS, a Melchizedek Son for a period of time before returning to his heavenly capital local universe World.
The seventh and final incarnation bestowal is of a material mortal creature, conceived and born of a woman.
Machiventa Melchizedek is currently serving as one of the 4 and 20 planetary celestial councilors, invisioned by John Zebedee, while in exile on the Isle of Patmos.
He also holds the title of Vicegerent Planetary Prince of our world.

We're you there? We don't really know what Jesus said. Just look at the gospels we don't know who wrote them or why they contradict each other. Furthermore verses have been added on to mark many years after the first edition. You can't claim anything that Jesus said because you don't know. Period

Melchizedek is not a name, it's a title. Melchior is Hebrew for king and tzadek is righteousness. Therefore, Melchizedek means "King of Righteousness."

Unlike the Levitical Priesthood (many cousins), it was a father/son order. No need for genealogy. The office continued without vacancy never needing rituals of consecration, confirmation, etc. When the old one died the new one became the one, hence no beginning no ending.
