Lots of people misinterpret this verse. It wasn't until I understood that the Greek interpretation also means 'royal splendour' that I fully understood Jesus was prophetically speaking about the transfiguration Peter, James and John were about to witness!

Can you imagine what it felt like for them to hear that He was going to be killed and to know that they could Not interfere?!!!? That had to have been intense!!!!
I don't think they believed him. It seems to me that they were a rather clueless bunch who, until the end, expected Jesus to lead a revolution against the Roman occupation and become an earthly king of a liberated Israel. I honestly think that a lot of his purely spiritual notions went right over their heads. Matthew seems to be the only one that was highly educated. It seems to have been the Holy Spirit at Pentecost who filled them with wisdom and understanding, which was implanted in them by grace as a gift.

What I also learned that the mountain was Mount Herman where the 200 angels landed in reference to Genesis chapter 6 and spoken about in the book of Enoch and the book o Jude it was a message also to the dark angels that He was and is GOD

"for this is my SON, Trust him, listen to him" For God only called Jesus his Son. He didn't refer to him as anyone else, but his SON. They were talking about with these two groups during the second coming of Christ. The group which will not test death, which was represented by Elijah and the second group which will test death which was represented by Moses. Also Moses and Elijah were encouraging Jesus about the cross

The truth is always simple. The reason the Lord accepted Moses and Elijah was to testify that the laws and prophecies they each represent all point to Jesus. Jesus Christ is the fulfillment and sovereign of all laws and prophecies.
How did the disciples recognize Moses and Elijah? So i think theres a conversation that happens before Peter talking about building tabbernacles. I think we got a small glimpse at what must have been an incredible situation.

Hey I was reading the last two chapters of Daniel and wanted to ask if you could read Daniel 11 to 12 and I sweat it sounds the same as what is going on in Israel right now and how the US will soon send warships over there and in the book of Daniel 11 29-31 says that the king of the north will retreat after the ships of the western coastline come then he will vent his anger against the holy covenant. It sounds rightly fitting to what is currently going on.
He gave the disciples a memory of rapture to give on to us, had to be secret until His ressurection so that we'd have the hope we'd see Him up top, we'd hear thetrump of God and then as we're taken up with Him, the two witnesses will go to Israel

Great teaching, and as for sure, "his glory is not limited to mountain top experiences" like James, John and Peter had, but as Jesus said to the woman at the well; "Jesus said unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour comes, when you shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship you know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour comes, and now is, when the 'true worshipers" shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him." John 4:21-23.
Jesus’s Transfiguration represents what will occur to everyone that receives salvation when they are translated to heaven. Moses represents everyone that experiences death but will be raised again by the grace and power of God. Elijah, represents every one that has not died yet but is still alive right at the time of the second coming of Jesus Christ to this earth!
Just as Jesus Christ, on the mount of transfiguration, was guided and strengthened to complete the great task of redemption for all of mankind, I pray the Lord guide and strengthened each of us for our journey. Illuminate our path, so that we see clearly what Your will is in our lives. Though we descend down the mountain into the valley of the shadow of death, may we fear no evil, for You are with us. I thought the mount of transfiguration was Mount Tabur until I recently read the book of Enoch. CHRIST JESUS was and is The Almighty GOD.

@@ariloves10 The Israelites were the most bratty entitled people in the Bible. The minute things went wrong, they became spoiled children complaining and worshipping a cow god. It must have taken tremendous patience for Moses to put up with them. I wonder if he ever secretly thought "Why did I bother with these losers?"

How did the disciples recognize Moses and Elijah? So i think theres a conversation that happens before Peter talking about building tabbernacles. I think we got a small glimpse at what must have been an incredible situation.
That was perhaps the real reason why this meeting happened. God showed us all that his plan was intended this way from the beginning. Through all of history we can now see that the world, the people, the kingdom that is still invisible to us is flooded, and that it was created solely for the purpose of recognizing God's plan of salvation. No matter what evil plans, does, or has in mind, God's plan, Jesus' way is better, bigger, more correct, more saving, more fulfilling and only he gives us peace in the darkest of times.
I praise and praise our Creator, the Father in heaven, our Savior Jesus Christ and our Teacher and Comforter the Holy Spirit for all eternity amen. Oh, listen Israel, finally understand the Lord and God are one. God became human to save us, he came into this evil world to die innocently for all our sins and to rise again, to overcome death, that's how much our father loves us.

God is going to beat down that wicked staff and get me outta here and then I will be called great. But instead of that.. the lady Charlette reached out and touched me. Of all beings, God choose two mortals, Moses and Elijah to visit his son in his greatest hour of agony. When Jesus saw them he knew he must make this ultimate sacrifice for them to remain in heaven.I suppose Moses and Elijah said to Jesus, if you don't make it, we'll have to come down and face the consequences of sin.
If Elijah and Moses are the two witnesses they have to have witnessed Jesus that they can be real eye witnesses Like the apostles had to be witnesses to Jesus

Hey I was reading the last two chapters of Daniel and wanted to ask if you could read Daniel 11 to 12 and I sweat it sounds the same as what is going on in Israel right now and how the US will soon send warships over there and in the book of Daniel 11 29-31 says that the king of the north will retreat after the ships of the western coastline come then he will vent his anger against the holy covenant. It sounds rightly fitting to what is currently going on.
He gave the disciples a memory of rapture to give on to us, had to be secret until His ressurection so that we'd have the hope we'd see Him up top, we'd hear thetrump of God and then as we're taken up with Him, the two witnesses will go to Israel

Great teaching, and as for sure, "his glory is not limited to mountain top experiences" like James, John and Peter had, but as Jesus said to the woman at the well; "Jesus said unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour comes, when you shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

Jesus’s Transfiguration represents what will occur to everyone that receives salvation when they are translated to heaven. Moses represents everyone that experiences death but will be raised again by the grace and power of God. Elijah, represents every one that has not died yet but is still alive right at the time of the second coming of Jesus Christ to this earth!
Just as Jesus Christ, on the mount of transfiguration, was guided and strengthened to complete the great task of redemption for all of mankind, I pray the Lord guide and strengthened each of us for our journey. Illuminate our path, so that we see clearly what Your will is in our lives. Though we descend down the mountain into the valley of the shadow of death, may we fear no evil, for You are with us.
