You can use whatever strap you like without sewing! Cut off old strap, then thread new strap through and secure with a Swiss Army knife awl through the folded over webbing and then put 2 or 3 black 50lb test zip ties through the webbing. Repeat for adding a buckle, thread webbing through the use awl and zip ties. The zip ties go right through the hole the awl leaves in webbing. I added a nice plastic cobra buckle to a 5.11 Tactical sling bag this way. I cut threads through the webbing then just re threaded through and awl and zip ties. Might be stronger than threads. 😂
You should look into Maxpedition Molle straps. The 3 inch ones. You could get a fixed blade like a Bark River Sentry to scout carry inside that waist bag
I took the hillpeoplegear bag camping in May this year, and I really enjoyed it around the campsite. For the city or small hikes, I enjoy the Vanquest bag. If I had to keep only one. Vanquest 😁
Get the hillpeople. I hate the dendrite because you mix your gun and other stuff in one compartment .imagine if you are in public and want to get something and your gun is there also.
